gr3g4l Hey, starting my grow. This year I've decided to do an outdoor grow, let's say a late one, just before the summer solstice. It's enough for what I'm looking for, and I can't really afford to have very large plants. This June has been really hot in this area, so I preferred to extend the indoor growth for a few more days to make the plants more mature and resilient before taking them out in the sun.

gr3g4l They were still under 100W LED. Watering always with osmosis water. The start of this week coincides with the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. From now on, the plants will notice that the hours of light will start to decrease, and those that are more indica will begin flowering earlier. These in particular are said to be somewhat sativa, but I have my doubts; the structure is quite indica.

gr3g4l This week, at 25 days old, they were moved outside and transplanted into a 35 L pot. I don't want to have to fight against bugs, grasshoppers, snails, butterflies, etc., so I covered the plants with mosquito netting.

gr3g4l By the end of the week, it seems like they're starting to flower; I've noticed some shy pistils. They had been growing and widening noticeably for a few days, but until I see pistils, it's not clear to me that they started to flower. Starting next week, I'll be using Bloom. As you can see in the photos, I had no choice but to do some LST, bending the apical ones.

gr3g4l This week we can confirm that they have started flowering. I estimate about ten days for the start of flowering, when the plants would have noticed the decrease in sunlight hours. The Summer Solstice is June 23, and these last photos are from August 15. About 53 days until the first pistils appear. 53 - 10 = 43 days to start flowering from the Summer Solstice.

gr3g4l calm week. Even though the buds keep fattening up, I'm almost sure they're not doing it so much because of the cover or the greenhouse. However, I'm happy not to see any bites on the leaves. At this time without a greenhouse, I would have them infested with worms and other leaf pests.

gr3g4l Calm week, the same as always in these last few weeks, tying up the apicals as best as I can so they don't touch the greenhouse roof. The rest are photos of what I've added to the greenhouse to improve ventilation and air renewal. This way, I can afford to close the door all the way down and keep everything more protected.

gr3g4l By midweek, seeing that I was being attacked by botrytis, I did a root wash and went to harvest. I let a few days pass, 4-5 days after washing the roots. I could have waited another week, but I didn't want to take any more risks.

gr3g4l At the beginning of the week, I started by cutting the apical buds to prevent them from getting botrytis, then I moved on to the lower ones, and by the end, I cut everything that was left. I put it in the drying net inside a cabinet with a couple of indirect PC fans for the first 4-5 days to speed up the drying process. The cabinet is outside, and it's cold and very humid. When it stops smelling so much after a few days, I bring the cabinet inside the house to finish drying for 20-30 days.

gr3g4l Once dried and cured for a few days, I'm happy, not so much for the quantity, which was quite humble, but the flavor is amazing, really tasty. Citrus and fruity flavors with a hint of haze. As I mentioned, the loss of buds due to botrytis was noticeable. Drying and a bit of curing for the tasting took a total of 4 weeks.
