Delicate_Sounds Because there's no need to grow more Blue Medi Kush, as previous yield was big enough to last me at least half a year, I'm switching to a more indica-based strain to help me with my insomnia; Blue Berry by Spliff seeds 👌 is the plant of choice this time.
Started germination in a wet coffee filter 6 days ago. Within three days all five seeds germinated 😍.
I'll keep these ladies in their little pots for at least another two weeks before repotting them into their final pots iot prevent root probs as I had on my last grow.

Fed them their regular nutrients for the first time yesterday.
I guess they'll be ready for repotting into the airpots within a week.

Delicate_Sounds Prepared coco and perlite (70/30) with a spray of pH 6.0 Rhizo solution and moved them into their 20l airpots this week. They seem to root nicely this time.
Lowered EC a bit to 1.2 as one of the girls had a bit of reds stems. Added some Mills Vitalize.
Happy so far 😊, within a few days they'll be ready for topping.
Brought the 5th one to my gardencenter where she will further be grown outdoors.

Delicate_Sounds Thought the girls looked a bit yellowish and they seemed to have a hard time picking up nutes; the one on the top showed some potassium deficiency as well. Some calmag/rhiz foliar did the trick and now they look nice and green although the one on the bottom stays rather small, maybe another pheno, and doesn't look happy.
Oh, and I accidentally broke of a branch from the plant on the left while removing the waterhose 😳
The top and right ones are topped, the bottom one fimmed and I'll wait another node before topping the one with the limp.😁

Delicate_Sounds Apprently the girls are happy with their enviroment, they're growing nice and steady. EC 1.3 is more than sufficient for them in this stage.
It looks like the one in the right (top) corner is a bit out of step as she's much bigger than the other ones. Let's hope she doesn't get me in trouble with her stretch.
Switched to 12/12 on day 24.
Will do some defoliation later this week and prune them a week after visible bloom.

Delicate_Sounds Another week, fairly smooth sailing so far.
The one top right is way bigger than the other three; I had to scrog her. Never done this before so fingers crossed.
They're showing the first signs of bloom, I expect them to be blooming within a few days from now. EC still 1.3
By the way, still getting this brown sediment in my tank. pH- bloom makes it worse. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong here as I clean the tank and equipment thoroughly every time I make a new solution. I mailed Canna about it but they weren't sure because of all the variables involved. Also, some Canna-products don't go well with H2O. I'm seriously thinking about switching to Mills nutrients next grow

Delicate_Sounds Three of them are blooming, the fourth (lc) is 4 days behind sched. Showing first signs of bloom though. I'll keep a sharp eye on her in case she might be a he, or both.
I can't really point out why the ones in the front are much smaller compared to the ones in the back, other than the one in the rc was a tiny one all along and the one in the lc got damaged (a bit).
Anyway, apart from that I think they all look nice and healthy and I guess the small ones will catch up later on.

Delicate_Sounds The small one on the left, the one that wouldn't bloom, appeared to be male. Removed it as soon as I found out. Still don't know what's up with the other small one. No signs of male flowers though.
The ones in the back are doing nicely with a polypoid on the biggest one (and it's right in the sweet spot 😋).
Installed a mobile A/C as the outside temperatures reached a blistering 34°C 👹. Forecast for the next two weeks looks a lot better with average daytemps between 20° and 25°C. Only problem with the A/C is that humidity is going up to 60-65% and my dehumidifier can't keep up. Keeping the solution <22° with cooling elements.
Lowered EC to 1.5 again as there were signs of nute burn on the leaftips, also added Cannaboost Accelerator to the solution

Delicate_Sounds Did quite some radical - at least that's what it felt like as I'm a novice to this - defoliation and pruning on 15th day of bloom (4 days ago). It'll take them at least a week to recover.
Added Ortho-silicic acid (N-P-K 0-0-1) to the solution to relieve stress. Also foliar feeded them a spray with calmag/rhizo which didn't work out as well as I thought it'd do: it degraded a few stigma. So, note to self: never ever foliar feed your flowering plants.
Still feeding them EC 1.5 only. I don't want to overfeed them now I mistreated them like this. A few days after they pick up again they're up for some PK 13/14.
Also having trouble to keep humidity <60% as humidity outside is going bananas between rainshowers and thunderstorms and my dehumidifier died on me as well, giving me error-messages that aren't listed in the manual nor on the manufacturers website 😕. There's a 2 year warranty to it so I guess I'll have to send it back for repairs. Ordered a new one which is due for delivery tomorrow.

Delicate_Sounds Recovery from defoliation was rather quick, in just 4 days they picked up again.
Started adding PK 13/14 4 days ago, EC went up to 2.0 which I diluted to 1.8, pH 5.9. They seem to cope well with the higher EC except for the small one, she has some signs of nute-burn on the leaftips.
Summer hasn't really set off yet so temperature shouldn't be an issue, only thing is I can't use my new humidifier properly as it ups the temp too much (about 3-4°C). 55-60% humidity will have to do for now. There is no more brown sediment in my tank now I keep the solution temp <21°C with cooling elements.
All in all, going steady, just about 4 1/2 more weeks to go.😀

Delicate_Sounds The polyploid plant (rc) has some decay on the flowers. I think it's nute burn from the 13/14 (last picture).
Lowered EC to 1.4 back again, then I'll do one more tank (40l) with EC 1.2 before I start flushing.
I guess defoliation, for this plant at least, doesn't work out when done 2 weeks into flowering. Next time I'll be a bit less rigorous and start before first signs.
Hot, hot, hot. Outside temperatures reached 33°C today, A/C kept the growing room to a cool 23.5°. This is gonna be some quite expensive bud. About 3 1/2 - 4 weeks to go

Delicate_Sounds All well this week, outside temperatures have dropped 10°C, which gives me a lot less to worry about regarding the growroom.
A lot of brown stigma on the largest plant. I think she'll be ready for harvest at least a week before the others. Nice trichomes too, no amber ones thus far (last photo).
I'll start flushing all of em later this week.
Looking good ... Just got done harvesting a Northern Lights Auto myself. Got about 63 grams off her. I wish you the same success
Good luck with the rest of your grow.
Looks like you have a good setup. Im using coco for the 1st time and getting high pH readings after adding solution which is @ 5.7. One girl seems to growing slower than other. Yours have filled out and are a nice shade of green.
@CommanderCannabis,
Hi, and thanks! I make my solution in a tank (with flow- and airpump) from tapwater pH 8.0. After adding nutes it's ~6.7. I then acidify till 5,4 and let it rest for a couple of hours. After an hour or two it's quasi stable @6.0. My coco has pH 6.0 also as well.
They certainly do look healthy. And getting quite buddy. 👊🏼🌲🌲🌲🌲👊🏼.
Strange how the 2 front ones shot up since all were looking fairly even last week. Maybe it is due to what you said? I wouldn't have a clue... newbie
Thanks!
I never used anything else than Canna really and I'm always satisfied with the results. It only gave me some issues with brown algae growth in my tank but that's all solved now I keep the solution temp <22°C 😃
