TheChillGrow I found her outside just as she was starting to flower, so I brought her back in and managed to get her back into veg. Not entirely sure how well it's going, but she doesn't look too bad. I’ve been having some issues with my setup since I didn’t have everything I needed at the start

TheChillGrow Just finished a flush, the buffer pH was way off. Not sure if I’m fully on the right track yet, but we’ll see how it goes over the next week.
After the flush, my runoff pH was 7.14 with a PPM of 475. I brought the pH down to 5.97, then buffered with the following mix in 5 L of water:
EHG CalMag – 2 ml
EHG Micro – 4 ml
EHG Grow – 8 ml
EHG Bloom – 4 ml
After buffering, my runoff PPM came to 442
Let's see how it goes

TheChillGrow I'm just letting her grow a bit to get ready for flowering. I've mainlined her a few times, I think she has around 16 to 32 colas, can't remember exactly. I want her to fill out a bit more so I can start tucking her in, and then I plan to flip next week.

TheChillGrow Heading into week 9 now, not much new to report. I’m mainly focusing on keeping the canopy open and even, making sure all the tops stay at the same height. The plant is looking healthy and continues to grow nicely.

TheChillGrow The plants are settling nicely into flower now, with pistils showing on all bud sites and the stretch starting to slow down. I did a light defoliation and removed about a third of the lower growth to improve airflow and focus energy on the top buds. Canopy is looking even and filling the net well.
PH has been steady between 5.6–5.8, and EC is sitting at 1.8. Plants seem happy with the feed so far, no signs of deficiencies or excess. Light is currently at 80% and about 35.5 cm from the top of the canopy, which seems to be the sweet spot for now.
Overall, everything is on track. Bud development is just beginning, and the structure is looking promising.

TheChillGrow Did a little defoliation today and tucked everything neatly under the net. This week I’ll be introducing PK into the feed and watching how the plant starts to handle it. I’m pretty sure this week will mark the end of the stretch. Main stem is sitting at 27 cm (just over an inch thick), and so far, everything looks healthy with no issues. Not bad progress at all for my first grow!

TheChillGrow Today I removed a lot of leaves, hoping the plant is finally done stretching. She’s now standing at 800mm from the pot and filling almost the entire 1m x 1m tent. Water uptake is heavy – around 40L over 6 days (≈6.7L per day).
Currently running at EC 1.9 with a pH of 5.8. By the end of this coming week, the light will be at 100% intensity and the feed pushed up to EC 2.1.

TheChillGrow Mid-Week Update:
Did a mid-week tuck under the net today to keep the canopy flat and open. Looks like the stretch has officially come to an end she’s holding steady at 1 meter (39 inches) tall from the top of the pot. Still guzzling down about 6.7L of water a day, no slowdown in sight.
Here’s the exciting part: every time I open the tent, the sharp citrus smell hits me straight away. It’s so strong that when I tucked today, my fingers came away glued with sticky resin just from brushing against the leaves. That’s when you know things are about to get serious.
The buds are still forming, but trichomes are popping up on the sugar leaves and you can tell the real bulk is about to kick in. This next week should be when the flowers start shaping up into those golf-ball sized nugs.
Now for a little game:
At first I thought she might be Durban Poison or Swazi Gold. The tall, sativa structure had me convinced. But with this intense lemony aroma filling the room, I’m starting to lean toward something like Lemon Haze. What do you think? Drop your guess and let’s see who gets it right by the time she finishes.

TheChillGrow This morning I pulled my lady out of the tent for a quick flush check. The runoff came in right where I wanted it — pH 5.7 on point, with an EC of 1400, so the root zone is balanced and happy. No need to push her further; she’s dialed in. The leftover flush tea (loaded with PK) went to the roses outside — they’re loving that boost too. 🌹💥
While she was out, I took the opportunity to clean her up with some lollipopping and defoliation. The stretch has officially stopped — she’s done reaching for the skies and has switched gears into full bud focus. The canopy now has better airflow and light penetration, which should pay off in bigger, denser flowers.
Feeding is sitting at EC 1.9, but I’ve pulled back slightly since I noticed a touch of tip burn earlier. No sense in pushing her too hard — better to let her build naturally now that the bud sites are starting to stack up.
The exciting part? This is the turning point: the structure is set, the stretch is done, and now it’s all about watching the buds swell week by week. The citrusy scent is already sneaking into the room, hinting at what’s coming.
Stay tuned — the next few updates should start showing real weight and resin production. 🍋🔥
Hello! This plant is an interesting shape, there must have been lots of training. How do you know it is a reg if it is unknown? Look forward to mroe updates and hopefully a few more photos each week. Good luck with the rest of the grow.
@UnorthadoxDude, Hey, I have no idea what strain this seed is. She started growing in my yard after some guys were building the wall, I’m guessing they might have dropped some Swazi Gold or Durban Poison, which are pretty common around here. I know it’s a regular seed because there were three small plants, and only this one showed signs of being female. The others looked like males, so I pulled them out. I brought her inside to see if I could try my luck. She’s the first plant I’m growing, so I’m experimenting with everything so I can see what happens. The best way to learn is by trying.
