-the only "first world problem": She is growing extremely bushy; stretch seems to be something she only knows from hearsay, or the 75W@40cm are so ideal that vertical growth is unnecessary
-in the tent, around 28.5°C / 40%
-Epsom salt added to the watering, no other fertilizers given
-removed the lowest sun leaves (they were lying on the ground anyway)
-removed the lowest twin shoot pair (they weren't getting any light)
-Tent: All upper outlets are now closed, and during the week, all air hoses insulated & the carbon filter exhaust completely insulated with aluminum butyl on the outside
-Carbon filter exhaust: Level 1 & via transformer @200V
=more airflow at lower noise
-Clip fan: repositioned upwards, directed downwards at the LED & plant, level 1 @200V

Everything is still running perfectly. The only wish would be for the lady to stretch a bit upwards; it’s getting harder and harder to place the leaves under the shoots. Until now, I thought I could manage without defoliation this early, but the girl is powering so much... here, as well as with the outdoor grow, it’s all going MUCH better than I hoped for.

-temperature is now about 2°C lower on average (26°C)/humidity about 10% higher (50%)

-Weekend: Topping on all 8 main stems (mostly after the 4th node, 1x "cut" & therefore correction after the 3rd node)
-Weekend: removed all stems at nodes 1 & 3, as there was too much competition among them
-Raised LED to 60cm distance for more vertical growth
-Plan: One more week, then switch to flowering
PS: The lady apparently handled the topping very well, 2 days later the next defoliation was already necessary. In 5 days, we're definitely going into flowering!

-during the week, repeated LST on all 8 main stems - the plant handled it without any issues
-then noticed a defect in the soil moisture meter (it always showed too wet when it wasn't) - replaced it with a new one
-as a result, the girl was significantly too dry for about 3 days, so I watered it intensively, adjusting the soil moisture back to about 6 to 7 on the scale (optimal range is between 5 and 7)
-then switched the light cycle to 12/12
-the plant has been a bit too light green since then, and for about 2 days, some leaves have shown rusty brown discoloration
-possible cause 1: over-fertilization or a brief Cal/Mag imbalance due to nutrient boost after the watering action
-possible cause 2: light burn. The LED was previously about 50cm away - increased the distance to 90cm
-possible cause 3 (probably unlikely): regular misting with a pump spray possibly with too highly concentrated Epsom salt solution
==next week, watering only with pure water
-Clip fan set on a timer for 1h on/1h off during the light phase & 30min on/90min off during the dark phase
It's still exciting, but this week was definitely a downer - unfortunately, several problems both indoors and outdoors...

Theo_Rehtisch - At the start of the week, I removed almost all leaves with brown spots; at first glance, no infestations visible on other leaves.
- By the 2nd day of the week, leaf color continued to shift towards light or slightly yellowish.
- Probably way too little light due to the increased LED distance of about 90cm since last week (which was under 200PPFD at the bud tips).
- Therefore, the LED distance has been reduced back to 50cm (which corresponds to about 500PPFD at the bud tips).
- Re-trained all 8 main stems, now secured at the outer edge of the pot with plant wire.
- Further testing/troubleshooting on the soil moisture meters; they now only show about 1 level different (old: 6, new: 7), but in my opinion, both indicate too dry (1st day of the week manual watering with about 1L, but still no change on both meters).
- On the 3rd day of the week, the healthy green color seems to be returning to the leaves.
Still no new brown spots, so the last drama seems to have been successfully overcome, and the mentioned over- and underwatering about a week ago was probably the reason for it. Consequently, the temporary tendency towards yellowing, exacerbated by lack of light.
PS: While going through the pictures from the outdoor grow, I noticed that the 3 GMOs there were also very light green during the transition from the veg to the flowering phase. And from then on, the leaves also turned back to normal green. Seems to be a characteristic of this strain.

-no more brown spots, the problem seems to be over
-leaves continue to trend towards light green/pale, but since the stretch is clearly visible, the girl seems healthy & the coloration appears to be part of this pheno (at least I hope so...)
-set up the SCROG net earlier (=lower) than expected, but again: low growth seems to be phenotypically evident
-so far just a slight stress with optimal lighting of all bud tips as a result
-LED distance now at 50cm/500PPFD at the bud tips
-humidity trend continues to go down (albeit only slightly from initially clearly over 50% to now 47%), at least according to the Billog-Growphoria measuring device
-for a week now, a Tuya Smart Sensor has also been hanging in the tent, it continuously shows significantly different values (currently 24.1°C/55%)
-the Tuya seems much more credible to me, to verify, I've now hung the sensor from my smart home system for the terrace area right next to the Tuya in the tent, which has previously provided very accurate values, at least for outdoors
That the general trend is towards drier air is normal & is certainly due to autumn & the onset of the heating period. Therefore, the newly arisen confusion regarding temperature & humidity values is difficult to assess. Nevertheless, I am now experimenting with water-filled saucers that will go into the tent. Even though the tent tray is supposedly impregnated & waterproof, due to the inferior quality of workmanship, I don't trust this claim at all, and therefore there's no water going directly in there, as is often recommended. If the saucers show no effect, a humidifier will be purchased immediately. Either way, I hope that after acclimatizing the previous outdoor sensor, I will get comparable values to the Tuya.

- Getting the soil moisture back into the optimal range took up 2/3 of last week
- Meanwhile, the plant hardly absorbed any water & there were still some leaves with brown spots, very little mass growth overall & through defoliation over the week development=0
- Either some blockage due to previous overwatering, or nutrient deficiency (it's quite possible that the 9L pre-fertilized soil is now depleted)
- Leaves continue to trend towards light green/pale
- Humidity & temperature values will now only be monitored via the Tuya sensor (which showed consistently comparable values compared to the reliable outdoor sensor)/removed the cheap growphoria measuring device
- However, humidity has been consistently over 60% since the water trays were placed on the floor
- The day before yesterday, soil moisture was at level 4/10 & the decision was made to go "all-in":
- all water trays removed, BB Grow 2ml + BB Bloom 4ml in 2L water, exhaust & clip fan running 24/7 (clip fan on/off in 30/60min intervals)
The water-filled saucers definitely have an effect (relative humidity increased by about 10%), but this doesn't help during flowering. All in all, a few days ago there was even a brief consideration to stop the grow & start over. Instead, now "all in":
Lower humidity as much as possible, exhaust on 24/7 for constant air exchange, generous extra fertilization. Hopefully the assumption is correct that (either recently or for a while) there was also a nutrient deficiency. But at least, until today (2 days later) everything looks good for now. The girl seems to have "taken everything well," and now even shows more development towards greener leaf color...
In any case, the last overwatering issue along with the sensor confusion has cost at least a week.

PS: During the week, the girl seems to be recovering well, very nice! Humidity remains consistently well below 60%. LED distance increased to 70cm (with reflection from the tent walls, it seems more light is reaching the bottom).
Since the harvest of the outdoor grow is in 2 days, everything has been prepared for drying with a (somewhat) closed system:
- 2 moving boxes tied together with tape
- Inlet box 1 directly connected to outlet carbon filter at the top right
- Air exchange between both boxes regulated with an opening of 16cm x 16cm + PC fan set to 5 volts
- Outlet box 2 directly connected to inlet tent
- All cracks & edges taped
- The whole setup will now be tested for 2 days to observe any changes in temperature & humidity

- Harvested 5 plants from outdoor grow & these need to be dried
- Tested 2x moving boxes (empty) connected as a closed system above the grow tent (each with 1x 10cm inlet/outlet, exchange between boxes 1x 16cm fan @ 5Volt) resulted in about 24°C/70% relative humidity, so definitely not suitable for drying under any circumstances
- Last test (both boxes empty with open inlet at the back top & outlet directly over the carbon filter) resulted in about 22°C/56% relative humidity, so as good as possible under the circumstances for drying
- The girl doesn't seem to be bothered at all by the "embalming of her 5 colleagues next door"
- Unfortunately still (thankfully only sporadically) brown-spotted leaves, mostly removed
- First shoots now growing sideways outside the scrog net, inside mostly organized, so that generally 1, at most 2 shoots per square
- Sowed white clover a week ago, it's starting to grow extensively
- Yesterday & today renewed fertilization (BB Grow/Bloom according to schedule, a total of about 1.5L in addition to the Blumat system spread over 2 days)
- Also removed everything in the shade/below the scrog net
- Finally received EC meter and new soil sensor for moisture & pH value, all values were already pretty okay:
- Soil pH: 7
- Water: EC 637 ppm or 1274 µs/cm
- Adjusted water EC with Epsom salt to 900 ppm or 1500 µs/cm for 15L in the 30L tank
- If this turns out to be too much, it will be gradually topped up with fresh water & diluted to old values (base values from tap: EC 169ppm or 338µs/cm)

Theo_Rehtisch Everything is going as it should - that is, well!
- Scrog net re-tensioned, as one of the main shoots grew too tall compared to all the others, laid it completely to the right outside the net
- almost desperate in the middle of it, because the girl is already very sticky ;-)
- LED distance reduced to about 40cm, for the first time mixed BB Topmax+Fishmix with the usual Bloom and Grow nutrient mix
- Drying of the outdoor grow is done, from now on fresh air via a 120mm PC fan (Arctic@5V via USB adapter), installed in one of the tent's lower vents, so the tent no longer collapses but instead slightly inflates - perfect!
In the meantime, a noticeable smell development is also perceptible & since the drying of the outdoor grow is done, any off-notes from the dry material can be ruled out. And yes, it smells, and interestingly so. (Maybe still?) Not necessarily as intensely onion-like as expected according to the strain description. But definitely garlicky & somehow very "green," very fresh, a bit pungent. For me, as a lover of berry-fruity notes, this might be a challenge, but I'm also happy to be surprised. BTW, in the outdoor grow, there were also 3 plants of the same strain from the same supplier, even from the same batch. These, on the other hand, don't smell at all as one would expect - basically, they don't smell like anything specific, just like dried weed. This shows once again how much the result also depends on the environment & conditions...

-during the week, there was another overwatering, the substrate can apparently hardly absorb any more water
-this unintentionally led to flushing, which at least resulted in the realization that the tent tray is definitely leak-proof
-the very minimal stretch from the beginning is now definitely over, the plant remains very small
-buds are still developing very nicely, the first trichome check shows a (predictably) glassy & nicely dense result
-for the next 2 weeks, the light will be shortened by another hour, which would then complete the Gas Lantern Routine for the flowering stage
Time for a first interim conclusion: It could have gone significantly better. There were several problems with watering & the back and forth with the LED distance surely didn't help either. Above all, the 9L pot seems to be simply too small, at least with this substrate (BB Light Mix & Coco).
Therefore, the plan for the next grow is: The seeds will go directly into the 9L pot & later be transplanted into 25L fabric pots. Additionally, the LED distance will be kept constant at 40cm & possibly the GLR will be applied right from the start. There will also be 2 plants: Again a GMO, to have a comparison, and alongside it a Gelato #45.

- The pot saucer is now consistently between half full & full, Blumat fully closed, substrate hardly absorbs more than 0.5 liters of watering at once & the soil moisture remains at about 4/10
- This value is apparently being very well & consistently maintained by the full coverage of clover
- Therefore, now only daily manual watering
- About 1L of nutrient water left - will be used up in the next 2 days & from then on only tap water + Epsom salt
- Additionally, daily complete wetting of the plant with a light Epsom salt solution via spray bottle
- Very nice development towards dense, firm buds
- First (few) trichomes are milky
All in all, the grow is going surprisingly well, despite all the watering issues. Although all the leaves are now showing clear signs of over-fertilization at the leaf edges, the buds are still developing very nicely & the plant is overall doing very well.
Bud distribution & development are also wonderfully even across all main stems, where the extremely small growth is of course an advantage. The trichomes & pistils give hope for a very nice maturation, but at the moment I estimate that I will let the girl go a bit beyond the calculated harvest date (23.11.).

-Tent set up on trimmed 4 layers of insulation mat (the room is above a largely tiled garage entrance, so no heat from below)
-this results in +2°C at night (around 19°C/50%), +1°C during the day (around 24.5°C/55%), best possible ripening conditions under the given circumstances (rainy and wet, around 0°C at night)
-now more than 1L of water/day, only with a light Epsom salt addition, about 0.5L through Blumat/0.5L manual watering, every 1-2 days a pump spray with Epsom salt solution
-no need for defoliation, just bending down some sun leaves
-trichomes mostly milky & first browning visible
How fitting for autumn: The first browning is visible in the trichomes, so we are on the home stretch! Considering that the grow was almost abandoned a few weeks ago, then... just wow! In the end, the lady - completely unintended actually & thanks to beginner's luck - is looking wonderfully bushy & still full of solid buds, just as one could wish. You can hardly touch anywhere without getting sticky.
What do I learn from all this:
-don't fiddle around so much!
-next time more pot volume (25L fabric pots), more compost soil/less coco content, more perlite
-at least a full week between last topping & start of flowering phase
-DON'T FIDDLE AROUND SO MUCH!!!
Following plan until harvest: About 7 full flowering days left (or less if amber trichomes are around 20%), so from 28.11.2025 lights out. Thus, watering will likely stop in 3 days. The plant will then be kept in the dark for at least 3 days. Harvest around 1.12.2025. Relaxed drying & curing means that Santa Claus might have a nice extra gift... ;-)

Update 3 days later:
-significant leaf discoloration (not well represented due to artificial light & tent)
-odor development from previously weak to now rather medium strong, still undefinable-spicy (doesn't evoke any associations for me, except maybe chives)
-more and more amber trichomes
So from today & as planned, no more water. Light cycle remains at 10/14 for 3 more days, then lights out.

-The plant is coloring beautifully, so far almost no signs of water deficiency

The original plan to put the plant in darkness for 72 hours and then to harvest is not being implemented, the method seems too questionable to me.
Instead, it will be harvested tomorrow and hopefully the whole plant will be hung up to dry. On one hand, the amount of amber trichomes doesn't seem to be increasing anymore, on the other hand, the plant overall just looks fully developed & "ripe." And to be honest: I'm also really looking forward to the next grow, so I want to clear out the tent slowly! ;-)
-dem ersten Anschein nach schön feste & harzige Buds
-Geruch hat für mich nichts mit Knoblauch zu tun, gerade seit den letzten Blütetagen geht es sehr in die fruchtige Richtung (Jay, ich mag das!)

Theo_Rehtisch - had to be cut directly at the root base
- only mini buds, but they are full of resin & very firm & compact
- pot looks nice, evenly & fully rooted
- unfortunately, the plant couldn't be placed completely on the small scale, I estimate the total weight trimmed wet at about 350g, with the stems likely making up a large part of that
- after about 2 hours hanging in the grow box (intake + carbon filter exhaust 24h, fan alternating 30min on/60min off) 22°C/50% = room temperature day
- night temperature expected to be around 18°C/55%
- update 1 day later: Max & Min stabilize after 24h between 24°C/52% and 17°C/47%
The result is perfectly fine for me & considering a 75-watt LED, the plant looks very healthy everywhere. Rooting seems great as well, but the substrate is, as expected, very compact by now & overall just seems completely used up. But that's perfect for harvest time, especially since the plant looks very vital despite 3 days without water, all bio reserves seem to be optimally used. Everything went great!
Now planning 7-8 days of drying, depending on the weather & thus on the micro-climate in the tent in the coming week. Currently, it's 22°C/50% during the heating period (about 6h/day), without heating it will probably average around 19°C with maybe 55% humidity, mild & dry weather is forecasted for the coming week.
Update #01, 4 days later:
- the weather is extremely dry, which means that Max & Min are between 24°C/42% and 15°C/37%, with humidity continuing to decrease
- therefore, using the airtight moving box again, indirectly ventilated with 1x 140mm PC fan @5Volt, exhaust = intake tent, exhaust from there through carbon filter outside
Low temperatures are nice and all, but the drying went way too fast due to the much too low humidity. The window remains closed now (was previously tilted for 12h a day) & the intake of the box is over 2m high, that should at least cushion the extremes downwards. So it stays like this for at least 4 more days.
Update #02, another 4 days later:
- humidity remained significantly below 50% as expected
- buds are already very well dried, hardly any cuts were needed while trimming, the leaves could mostly be removed by gently pushing and bending
- the whole thing is now going into curing for 2 weeks, so there will be a nice gift just in time for Christmas ;-)
The original plan to put the plant in the dark for 72 hours and then to harvest is not being implemented, the method seems too questionable to me. I agree with you and the chemical analysis. There is no definitive result.
But be careful: These things are as common as sand on the beach, and you have to make sure that the thing actually fits your smartphone model. And also watch out if your smartphone has multiple cameras/multiple lenses: At first, it can be a bit fiddly to figure out which lens is used at which zoom and at what distance from the phone.
@Sundancers, I was also very curious & a bit skeptical, but so far I can give the all-clear: The lady still smells very pleasant & not at all as described. BTW, in the outdoor grow '25 I also had 3 plants of this, and the curing isn't quite finished yet, but even there the result is very different from the strain description (although the grow was very "bumpy" & under unfavorable conditions, which definitely plays a significant role in the outcome).
