Popped two seeds in jiffy pellets on heat matt under a humidity dome. But I underwatered them and one didn't survive.
Following coco for cannabis' nute schedule.
Been bad about taking pictures.
I did have it in a solo cup, which I remembered you don't need to autos doh but I got a small space so lets hope the stunting isn't too bad.
Moved into cabinet and 5 gal bag. Set up the drip feeders. So fertigation is now automatic 4x a day.
Well I think she is over the shock of the transplant.
5x a day fertigation was too much, changed to 3x for now.
Will start LST this week to pull over the main stem.
Drainage is working ok, put a hole in and the run off is caught in a tray. Can test easier/dump out into a bucket.
Woah she settled into her pot and EXPLODED. Autos are suiting my impatient nature lol.
Had to start tieing her down, she responded like a champ, main stem spiraling around the pot and tieing the off stems out of the way.
Still 3x fertigation, getting decent run off but I think she's gonna start getting thirsty. I did put in double the amount of micro nutes by mistake...so I watered it down to 745 ppm and run off was coming at 645. Hope she's forgiving.
Starting to give off a bit of smell, nice and fruity :)
We have pistols! And stretching D:
Was a bit worrying at the start at the week as the leaves were looking rather sad and droopy! Might have been underwatering from when I changed the reservoir. Waited and saw and it corrected it's self after a few days.
Done some light defoliation, lollypopping and LST, removed yellowing leaves that were not getting much light inside. Could probably do some more but got about 11 bud sites.
Think the top leaves are suffering from light stress though, gonna have to try and LST them a bit flatter. The never ending game for me!
Really looking forward to what she does in the next few weeks!
Flowering time, lovely white pistols!
I think that's it for defoliation, tried to uncover the bud site/lower leaves not getting light. Leaves starting to feel sticky.
Can't wait to see the bud development, hopefully she'll be putting on some weight.
The armour si and those branches - everything is rock solid, split one of the side branches trying to LST, sot a quick repair with tape. It doesn't seem to have effected the bud much but no more LST, she set.
Thick trunk hiding in there, loving that armor si and CO2 bag.
Getting some hot days, was getting temps up to 33C at the canopy so with air con on it's more like 29. So you can see some taco leaves. Rip my electricity bill.
But very excited about the bud development, and she's starting to get frosty. Can't wait for that trich development!
She is thirsty went through 40L in 6 days, am fertigating 5x 10 mins pump on. I do give it some extra waterings to make sure I got plenty of run off.
Well I guess I should have been more aggressive with LST, some toasted buds that are right under the QB. Never enough height! Making me wonder where I can put in a small tent for flowering...
Getting frosty...think I'm going to let it go another 7-10 days, think she's got a little more to give. Incredibly fast growth though.
Smell is not strong, fresh and sweet I'd say.
I went the full 80 days, and I think I was juuuust starting to see some start to turn amber. But def all milky and I was impatient so down she went. Gave the branches a bit of a rinse in a bucket of hot water.
Dried for a week in the grow space. But I made a huge mistake not taking the big branch apart more cos I had some mold growing. I live in a extremely humid place so leaving the buds touching like that was a bad idea.
Trimmed them and into the jars. I had trouble getting the humidity down in the jars I was leaving them open and I still lost some buds to mold. That's when I cut up all the mega vanity sized buds to help with the curing. Very important lesson learnt!
So I've been smoking it as it cures cos I was out, at 2 weeks cured and it's quite flowery. I have had sudden candy/bubble gum flavour come over as I'm smoking a bowl and I think I'm going crazy or imagining things, but will be interesting to see if that flavour profile develops as it cures!
The high is very upper and energetic, great day smoke to go to work on. Have had a few moments of paranoia, but that's probably wise in this hobby.
Made some canna butter with the 60g of trim. Then I made some bhang with the leaves and that got me HIGH for about 12 hours lol.
Overall, I can't complain about this strain, grew without a problem with a nice yield even in my tiny space and lack of skills. Liked how fast it was. Melon Gum Auto was a nice first auto.
Set up wise I really struggled during the stretch, and the last 2 weeks of flower I got bleaching from the light stress. Looks like I'm setting up a flower tent!
Awesome sounding strain. Following along because I'm intrigued, may want to grab these. Your doing a great job with them. Nice work. Keep doing what your doing and beat of luck with the rest of the grow.
