IslandTerps Strain: Fast Buds – Gorilla Melon
Grow Type: Indoor
Pot Size: Solo Cup
Medium: Peat Moss & Perlite
Nutrient Line: Athena
Week 1 – Germination & Seedling Stage
The seed germinated in water within 24 hours. It was then transferred to a paper towel, misted, and placed in a lightly misted zip-lock bag kept in a dark, cool area. After another 24 hours, the taproot developed further and the seed was placed into soil in a solo cup.
Currently feeding a diluted Athena mix at 50–100 ml. Plant is settling in well. I’m really excited to try Fast Buds’ photoperiod line and see how Gorilla Melon performs looking forward to documenting its growth every step of the way!

Week 1 – Transplant & Root Development
This week, I transplanted her from the solo cup into a 1-gallon pot. Applied Mykos WP thoroughly on her roots and in the transplant hole, then fed her with Athena nutrients. She’s growing, but slowly. Looking forward to strong root development in the coming weeks before moving her to either a 3- or 5-gallon pot.

Week 2 Update
She’s growing along very nicely this week, showing no deficiencies and handling feedings perfectly. Her stems are thickening up steadily, and she’s looking strong overall. Considering whether to top her soon or let her run naturally depending on how she continues to develop.
Feeding
500 ml Athena nutrient mix.

Week 3 Update
This week she was transplanted from a 1-gallon to a 5-gallon pot, and of course the pot got stickered up 😝. The roots looked amazing during transplant, with Mykos really doing its job.
She was topped twice and training has begun, aiming to build a manifold with 8 mains. Growth has been strong, and she’s taking in nutrients with no issues.
Feeding was increased to about 1200 ml of Athena, and I’ll keep raising it gradually as needed. Overall, I’m really happy with how she’s developing so far.
