Gave the girls a little trimming to remove some fan/shave leaves since they’ve spread so well to take up their growing space and light wasn’t getting through the top of the canopy very well the last couple of days. I only removed fan leaves that were shading bud sites or those that had started to yellow because they were not getting any light. Colas are starting to form everywhere!
My lights have both Veg and Bloom features. Veg turns on all the LEDs on the panel, bloom eliminates the blue tones. I’m using the Veg lights for about 4 h a day to mimick peak sunlight, and the bloom light scheme in the mornings and evenings. It may not matter at all, but I’m available to make the change, so I do it.
@ReinDeer, thanks! It’s a real basic grow using miracle grow and superbloom. I’m very pleased with how they vegged, now to wait and see if we get some good buds.
Makes sense that the plants should take whatever they need from the available spectrum. Since Veg turns on all the LEDs, I’ve probably been wasting my time messing with the switches, because I’m just lowering the total output for part of the day.
