Papaya Cookies DWC FOOP

Tokvro Today in a couple hours makes exactly a week since I started the seeds so this will be the start of week 1. Been a weird week, on the slower growing seed when I transplanted to the hemp wool cube I found a little root with green at the top hooked onto the side of the clay pebbles and decided to plant it next to the seed itself and while the seed has shown no progression the little root has developed cotyledons and while it may be slightly behind I’m not giving up on it Yes I had to move the light since the temperature in the water was too out of range PH constantly fluctuating and I have to check it each morning and adjust. Bit of a headache and any advice on how to keep the ph the same or what might cause it will be appreciated! And only roots in the bigger seedling have started to reach outside the net cup. Tokvro It’s been 14 days since I started germination and the seedlings doing alright. The humidifier ran out of water on day 9 for maybe a full 12 hours and the roots decided to air prune themselves which is the browning on the roots (or build up of the organic nutrients) and only now are the roots back to around the same strength as before. The other seedling on this day damped off like the root looks like: how it’s pinched together and the root died but the plants top part still lives. Replacing it with an Ethos shawty R1 if anyone’s interested I’ll be doing a diary later on that. Should be about 1 more update before the plant actually starts growing rapidly.

Tokvro So this week I found out exactly why you don’t run FOOP in DWC 😀 really curious why it would even say hydroponic friendly if there’s clear issues with it. I didn’t run into root rot yet but I could see how it can form really easily especially once the roots are bigger and the fish poop flakes are caking up along the roots each week, just didn’t wanna run into the foreseen future. I switched to PH perfect since it was either this or Fox farm 👎 so obvious winner. Previous weeks PPM was ~254 and this weeks is 315 and I’ve noticed black spotting on the leaves start to form from the switch in nutrients and hoping it’s nothing serious. Really grown fast these last couple days so hoping it’ll finally take off especially with the change in nutrients and not having the PH fluctuate constantly daily in FOOP. This is day 16 if you don’t count the 5 days it took germinating
