greenh0rn Day #1
Gorilla just wants to grow, it’s unreal. Sprouted within hours of planting in 3 Gal pot
Cookies followed several hours afterwards.
Both are under a humidity dome sprayed every few hours.
Let’s go!
Day #2
Day #3
Day #4
Been very lightly misting the top layer of soil in a circle around the young sprouts when nesc. Very careful not to let the surface of the Coco dry.
Day #5
Day #6
First error - realised I did not prefeed the Coco with nutrients, so the Cookies is struggling a lot. You can see the problems caused in the pictures. (Yellow, browing new growth). Hopefully they recover unharmed..

greenh0rn Day #8
Plants have seen some growth today. Gave a plain Ph'd watering of 500ml and 750ml to each plant. Will see how they come along. Will add pics later.
Got to use the new Bluelab pH Pen today. WOW! I'm seriously impressed - and waaaaayyyyy more confident my plants are getting the correct pH. The temperature adjustment is really cool.
Day #9
Not much action. Still concerned with the slow growth on the Cookies, as well as the tacoing of the leaves. I have been researching and stumbled across VPD. As an inexperienced grower, I'm not sure how much of this matters as I have been continuously reading that 35-40% humidity was okay. However, I borrowed my GFs small mister to try and raise the humidity.
Day 10#
Great signs after raising the humidity. Trying to reach 60% for Veg as a baseline as my temps are at 80f with lights on pretty constantly. I have purchased an actual Humidifier as well as a Smart Plug and Bluetooth Thermo/Hygrometer to hopefully monitor this and keep the RH at that 60% mark.
Day #11
The Cookies are opening up and GROWING! Admittedly, the new growth is slightly twisted but hopefully, this is just caused by the stressful start to life. No food, dry AF - surprised it hasn't committed suicide on me! Good job I'm in Coco or I would have definitely overwatered. There's still time yet I supposed :D
The Gorilla is.. a Gorilla - getting bigger daily! Loving the look of the new leaves, they are beautiful! It's monstrous compared to the Cookies, to say it is a day older and had the same start. Right from Germ, it seemed like nothing could stop it. It is showing some N toxicity signs with the clawing tips - I hope this was caused by me overfeeding to catch up the lack of Nutes early on combined with the low humidity/high temp combo. I hope it will balance out after the plain water I gave a couple of days ago and the rise of RH of the tent. Still not watered - it is still pretty damp and doesn't seem to be struggling. I don't want to add any more feed at this point to avoid increasing the Nitrogen levels. Once she begs for it, I will provide!
Gave the Cookies a light feed 300-400ml of 300 PPM @ 5.9 pH. I fed this less on Day 9 so it was dryer, and it's looking a bit yellow/hungry.
I have the humidifier hooked up and the new Bluetooth Hygrometer in. I can't stop checking the data - it's addictive. At least it stops me opening the tent so much. Weirdly, it's giving a 20% RH difference to my old ThermaPro monitor. I have emailed, maybe it's the old device. It thinks my room is 60% RH - which doesn't seem correct at all.
Hoping to get this Bluetooth device hacked and the smart plug working to allow me to monitor and control the humidity remotely.
See you in week 3! Choo choo!

greenh0rn Day #12 -
Day #13
Gave both plants a feed to 20% runoff.
Day #14
Noticed some weird symptoms, and especially concerned about the slow growth of the Cookies. Noticed a very damp, stale spot around the stem of the Gorilla and the stem is looking weak. After I had watered, I noticed the pots were sitting damp due to my choice of pot tray even after allow the water to drain for 20 minute before putting them back on the tray. Going to revisit and implement some changes to try to improve air flow inside the tent.
I have folded over the sides of the fabric pots to ensure air is reaching the top layer of Coco, mounted the fan backwards directly beside the plants to hopefully blow some fresh air over the stalk and flipped over the trays so that the pots have space between the bottom to allow air to get beneath the pots.
Day #15
My Boveda 62% arrived so I can finally settle the battle of the Hygrometer. Hoping that the more expensive Bluetooth device is the more accurate. I've set both in a sealed bag with an 8g boveda 62% pack. Will leave for 24 hours. ThermaPro shows 44% going in, the Govee showing 70%.
I also purchased a second fan, a large tray for the bottom of the tent, some metal plant trays that should allow air to get underneath the pots and some bungees to remount both fans.
I have realised my exhaust fan is not powerful enough, at just over 60CFM/ 103m3. I'm going to order one closer to 200CFM with variable speed to allow me to create some negative pressure.
Day #16
I decided to remove the carbon filter until my fan arrives to improve the airflow. This has made a huge difference, the air in the tent feels much fresher.
Have a fan blowing just above the plants downwards to blow lightly across the whole plants and Coco surface, folding the excess of the pot down seems to have helped a lot. The floor is now a drain tray, and I have the PC fan active intake blowing fresh air from outside directly onto the bottom of the dray beneath the pots.
Temps have gone from 24c to 9c outside this week (lol), so temps with lights on are a comfortable 73f. With the cooler weather, I have to close the window slightly and suck the air from the room instead at night. This keeps temps just under 73-4, with the radiator on in the room, lights on. Temps at sitting at 70f with lights off for 4 hours during the day - 1 PM - 5 PM
The weak stem caused the Gorilla to sort of self LST. I helped it along by adding some twine.
Changed to using the Lucas formula, as the Gorilla is showing some early signs of Nute burn and the Cookies is slightly yellow on the new growth. Going to up the dose of CalMag. Fed both plants 1.5L of Lucas/CalMag using spring water.
Going to start feeding 1.5L once per day from now on. Watering is hard!
Day #17
Both plants are looking much better in the new environment. I would love to grow in this environment! Going to water Lucas/CalMag after lights are back on at 5 PM. Hopefully, I've nailed the setup and it should stabilize from here on out.
The Gorilla has turned back over nicely after tying it down. New growth on both plants is almost vertical.

Growth is looking great now on the Gorilla. Cookies still slightly stunted and about a week behind.
Got some great advice, and started watering to 10% drain for both plants. This is has been working really well. Had huge anxiety about overwatering, so this has put my mind to rest now - hopefully for the rest of the grow.
Day 24
Started light defoliation, removing the huge fan leaves from both.
Day 25
More light defoliation. Plant seems unaffected, so have started to step it up slightly.
Day 26
Started really clearing out the canopy of both. Snapped my first branch on the Cookies. RIP. Tried to save with duct tape but it's almost a clean break so decided to remove and bin! :((
Gorilla is showing some pistils now! It's flower time!!
Day 27
The tops have evened out nicely over the past week or so, so I have decided to put in the scrog to help control the canopy. It's a terrible elastic one though, so hopes aren't too high. We'll see.
Day 28
Wowzers!! Scrog looks amazing. Can't wait to watch this beauty flower out.
Cookies still behind, but it's looking a lot better the past few days. Some verticle growth also!

Day 34
Been doing some crazy defoliation. It's working amazingly. The amount of time it takes to bounce back is unbelievable. Definitely thinking of topping the next autos. It seems to fear to defoliate and top is misplaced.
Tried super cropping my prized show off branch, and it bounced back within 6 hours. I am no longer scared to harm these ladies, they are tough as nails and recover like the flipping wolverine!!
Day 35
Tiny bit of defoliation tonight, mainly on the Cookies. The branches are slowly growing and reach the Scrog. Have been turning the pot to try to get the lower sites the most amount of bud possible, so the main branch is towards the back. It's not growing that quickly though, but may need to turn it back if it starts to stretch like crazy. It's starting to show pistils on some branches, so should start flowering very soon. Except it to go a few weeks longer than the Gorilla.
Contemplating looking at auto irrigation options so I can start watering twice per day once they both start flowering fully. Cy@ in week 6

Day 40
New fan arrived and installed. Been playing around with placement to try and keep the humidity down. Deciding between filter and no filter, passive or active intake. Air from room or from window.
So many variables it's insane. And those variables have other variables. Proud i've made it it to flower on the first run, very lucky I imagine. Never thought i'd see frost from bud I grew.
Day 41
Very slow growth from the Cookies still. Just a few pistils on a few branches. Still waiting patiently.. It's crazy to think they're both the same age! I wish I had more room and they could both have at least 2x2 each.
Day 42
I've been toying with the idea of getting a res and watering using drippers, and getting a second 2x4 tent. Moving this 2x2 to be a Photo tent, and growing 2 autos at a time in the 2x4. Really desperate to stop mixing nutes and watering with a crappy watering can every day.
Can't wait to watch them finish up and smoke them. The smell is amazing, very citrusy and sweet.

Day 44
Gorilla really throwing out some frost now, still not much with the Cookies. Continuing with defoliation of any fan leaves in the way.
Finally snapped and decided to get a tank and start mixing a decent amount of solution. The Gorilla was looking sad this morning from being thirsty. She's really starting to drink a lot and I need to start feeding 2-3 times a day if possible. Have been looking at options.
Day 45
Got my 100L Flexitank setup, tried running to spray drippers but it's lacking power. (I snapped a part I needed). I've now got a 4mm wand on a pump and a week's worth of nutes to play with!! I really want to set up auto drain but I don't want to move the scrog and plants too much at this point. I'll make those changes next grow.
Life should be good from here on out!
I've moved my tent in preparation for the new 2x4 Auto tent coming. Can't wait to get it set up. The nute res and watering system are amazing. Having to keep an eye on the res for pH drift, but it's so much easier than mixing nutes by the Gal.
Have issues with sound and humidity is slightly high @ 58-68% even with a humidifier on in the room. I've tried with and without carbon filter. I'm ordering a new small dehumidifier for inside the tent to keep this around 45% hopefully. Ordered some vibration absorption mats for the tents to sit on, and some quieter fans. Plan to box in the exhaust fan and use it for both tents.
Really excited to get some Photos going very soon! Will hopefully get to finish the Cookies in the new tent after chopping the Gorilla.
Watering 3 times per day now.
Once 1 hour after lights on
Once 5 hours after
Once in 8 hours after
Day 46
Getting used to life with a nute res and watering system, it's amazing! She's looking really frosty like someone shook a bag of sugar over her. Still not much with the cookies. Decided to be ruthless with the Cookies and defoliate a lot of the lower branches. I want it to be smaller but taller than the Gorilla. It doesn't have much room after the Gorilla kicked it aside.
Had a big defoliation session of both plants. Almost all leaves I chop from the Gorilla are covered in frost now. I cannot wait.. not too long left! Hopefully, the Cookies gets going soon.
Day 47
Day 48
Forgot a washer on the Flexitank tap! Oh dear, 1 Gal or so all over the carpet...
The vibration mat is insanely good. The small humidifier works really well, able to keep tent humidity at 50-55%, without the big humidifier on. Waiting for 2x4 and new lights.
Day 49
Got my 'Expando' tent expander for the 2x2. Misread the description, which said minimum 1m2 lol. Luckily it fits vertically! Works amazingly, plants looking grateful. Going to get everything properly setup tomorrow ready for the new setup. Gorilla is looking amazzziingg. The Cookies is showing some vertical growth, hopefully, this is the start of the stretch.

Flowering is really picking up on the Gorilla. Starting to swell up each cola. Getting very frosting, and very sticky! Some really exciting changes to come!!
Delivery has arrived!!
Got some Bloombastic bloom booster, after hearing some good things. We’ll see how it reacts. Giving 2ml per Gal for the Gorilla, nothing for the Cookies until it starts popping out some pistils.
05/06 53
Decided to bite the bullet, and upgrade. Went for 2x4 tent, with a bit more height to setup an auto drain system into a bucket. Also went for a 265w dual Samsung LM301B QBs. They have some 6k blue lights in, which is meant to help in flower. I’m no scientist though.. With all 3 running i'm sat at 400w! Mindblowing! My girls are going to shit a brick!!
Spent the entire day setting it up, moving the plants over and making tweaks. Lights are incredible. Not sure whether to keep the 3rd light running or not. Decided to try for this grow, see how much more exciting it makes flowering.
Have a 2x4 flexible tray, with a hole in one end, and a hose attachment. It flows into a hose, into the waste bucket below. I need to remove 4-5 inches from the table legs to get enough height between the canopy and light, worried about being too close - the guy at the light shop suggested 20”, and I can only get to 14”. Need to tweak the tray to get a decent enough slope also to get all water to flow to the drain.
Incredible difference, so happy with the result. No more kneeling to defoliate, stretching under a tiny scrog net or pumping water!! Had to cut the scrod net down when moving the plants, but have enough room now without it and can shape the plants with LST from here.
06/06 54
Getting used to life not having to pump water 3 times a day. It’s amazing - really pleased with the upgrade. 2x2 was okay - but I wanted to have at two different strains to get not bored. And they were competing for space so much so, I believe yield would have been affected on the Cookies.
Lights are FUCKING bright, had to take measures to make sure I stay stealth from a nearby window! Looking amazing, had a big defo session tonight and tied down the Cookies more. I’m seriously proud and happy with this new setup!! I can’t believe the Cookies still isn’t flowering… starting to get a really deep skunky smell though, I think it’s going to drop any minute and blow my mind!!

Did some heavy LST and defoliation on the Cookies, the middle is very congested. Cut off quite a few stray branches and a ton of leaves.

Smoked the tester, unbelievable taste and smell, especially to say it was quick-dried on the radiator. High is really nice as well, really clear and uplifting. So glad I went for the Gorilla now, can’t wait to get the rest of it cut down.
Cut another small branch to keep smoking, starting to fade slightly more the colours are amazing. Bud looks really nice trimmed up. It’s such an improvement on the shit I’ve been blowing hundreds on each month. I could cry tears of joy.
Received my Mephisto order today. Can’t wait to get that started now. What a journey this has been.
Cookies is turning into a monster, my suspicion seems to be correct, it’s going to pop any second and it’s grown way beyond the Gorilla which it was dwarfed by the first 50 days. Crazy turn around.
17/06 65
Build a mini dry box, deciding on what to dry everything incoming harvest.
18/06 66
19/06 67
Defoliated the Cookies tonight, she’s starting to stretch and bush out. She's showing some minor CaMg deficiencies on some leaves, so I'm increasing the dose of CalMag to 8ml/Gal. No signs of over feeding, so going to increase Lucas formula to 8/16 with the next lighting.
20/06 68
21/06 69
Going on holiday for a week tomorrow, so have decided to harvest some of the Gorilla now and leave the lower bud sites to fill out and purple up a bit, as they haven’t been receiving as much light.
Have set up my old 2x2 tent to hang the buds in to dry.
Nervous about leaving them in someone else’s hands for a week, especially as they’re not really known for keeping plants alive! No other choice though, so Que Sera Sera. I’ll hopefully have another update in week 12 - cya then (hopefully)!
Looking good ... Just got done harvesting a AK-49 Auto and a Northern Lights Auto myself, check it out if you can ! I wish you the same success. Good luck with the rest of your grow.
