Week 22 update - alls good and she’s really stacked on weight the last week. So much so that her gangly branches can’t support the bud weight anymore👍👍👍. Gotta tie back 3 of em as we’ve still got a bit left before the finish. Week 7 of flower and still think we’re trending 9-10 weeks to chop. Not gonna say it - 🤞🤞🤞. Background For those who don’t already know, Humboldt Seed Organization hails from the Emerald Triangle of Northern California, a region that consists of Humboldt, Mendocino and Trinity Counties. A growing region for cannabis that can be likened to the Bordeaux wine region of France, it’s origins are as infamous as they are notorious. The region’s cannabis history sprung from hippy communes dating back to the 60’s . But like any other lucrative, illicit endeavour, it wasn’t all flowers and sunshine. Illegal marijuana cultivation brought out the best, and the worst in the many people who flocked to the region over the decades. Those so inclined saw an escape from “typical society” in the mountains while in some cases others - not so inclined, would disappear from society altogether. At one point, this region was purported to be responsible for 90% of the cannabis supply across the country (and probably a good part of the market up here in Canada too I’d imagine). Bottom line: these folks have been do’n it LOUD for more than 50 years and deserve our respect ✊ for their efforts. 707 Headband is a cross of True Ocean Grown and a Mendocino Elite clone. Sativa dominant, the high is supposed to be very cerebral - like wearing a headband of it😉😎. We can only hope that our attempt at growing this bit of awesomeness lives up to the reputation that it’s Breeders have earned through experience. This was supposed to be the years indoor capstone grow but due to other issues, she’s ended up outside under the sun where she belongs. She is however, in our best and most vulnerable spot😬😬😬.
