The seedlings just popped 🌱
This run will be fully organic in custom living soil.
Plan is to water only with dechlorinated, pH-adjusted tap water from start to finish.
Looking forward to see how the mix performs and to explore the different genetics.
The base soil (what I call “light mix”) was old and dry, with an unknown exact composition.
SOIL
• 19 L Light Mix (Soil, Perlite, Coco)
• 0.75 L Compost Soil + 0.75 L Gardening Soil
• 30 g Fermented Bokashi, 15 g Leonardite Powder, 5 g Rock Dust
• 20 g Mycorrhiza
• Bentonite, Cocoa, Kelp, NPK sources (4,5,7)

COMMENT
I hung a damp towel inside the tent to increase humidity.
The tent’s passive intake ports a bit wider to allow more intake..
The photos show the current setup. I’m working to keep conditions stable and plant-friendly.
Substrate temperature is a bit low because of the small sized pots.

I transplanted them into their final 19-liter pots. I noticed a few fungus gnats in the soil.
It’s not a big infestation, but I’m trying to catch them with sticky traps and I also sprayed the top 2 centimeters of soil with neem oil.
The plant on the left developed some dark spots about 10 hours after the transplant.
The plant on the right is really strong and growing quickly. When repotting, I buried the stems about one to two centimeters deeper into the soil than they were before.

COMMENT
She is running along the soil now 😀 17 cm wide, 10 cm high.
The main stem is lying on the surface from training, not really planned but it happened.
I think the slow growth comes from pests and my watering routine. The plant shows no classic drought signs, but I likely under-watered and did not wet the whole root zone. Nineteen-liter pots are harder to water evenly than 15 L or 11 L.
For two plants I would use 2×15 L or 2×11 L. I was told larger pots are better for living soil and soil life, but I am not sure it matters at this scale in my setup. With a fresh mix I believe one autoflower in 19 L could fill the tent. No topping required.
