Sadhus ### Weekly Grow Journal - Dognabis Cup
**Strain:** Diesel Jealousy Octogenetica (hybrid, based on profiles similar to Jealousy, an indica-dominant variety from Gelato 41 x Sherbet, known for its balanced effects, fruity and fuel aroma, with high potency; possible variant with diesel notes).
**Number of plants:** 2 (autoflowering).
**Current phase:** Week 1 of vegetation (after 1 week of germination/seeding).
**Covered period:** From September 18 to 24, 2025 (data extracted from the weekly graph and daily logs from September 17, 19, 21, and 23; current reading as of September 25, 2025, 5:11 AM).
**General setup:**
- **Lighting:** 1000W full spectrum LED, automatic adjustment via PAR sensor to maintain optimal PPFD (current value: 673 PPFD).
- **Environmental control:** Trollmaster Tent X with pH/EC/water temperature probes, integrated heating control, dehumidifier, humidifier, water and air pumps, fans, intake and exhaust for precise regulation.
- **Substrate and pots:** Aptus super soil (enriched organic soil), repotted this week into 6-liter pots.
- **Other notes:** Overall stable environment, with defined targets (temperature 24°C, humidity 70%, CO2 900 PPM). CO2 is not measured.
**Events of the week:**
- Repotted both plants into 6-liter pots to encourage root development in early vegetative phase. No visible signs of post-repotting stress according to stable data.
- Successful previous germination/seeding, smooth transition to vegetation.
- No additional nutritional intervention beyond the Aptus super soil, which provides a balanced organic base without immediate need for additions at the start of veg.
**Observations and analysis:**
The weekly graph data shows stable trends for all parameters, with minor fluctuations (e.g., temperature and humidity remain constant without extreme spikes, light varies slightly according to day/night cycle, pH and EC remain flat). Current values (23.4°C, 69.2% RH, VPD 0.89 kPa, PPFD 673, pH 6.09, EC 2.08 mS/cm) indicate an environment effectively controlled by the Trollmaster.
Compared to standards for autoflowering in early vegetation:
- Temperature slightly below optimal (ideal 24-27°C day, 18-22°C night), but stable and with no apparent impact.
- High humidity but within acceptable range (50-70% RH), promoting growth without excessive risk of mold.
- VPD within ideal range (0.8-1.2 kPa), promoting healthy transpiration.
- PPFD suitable for early veg (400-700 typical, avoiding light stress).
- Optimal pH for organic soil (6.0-7.0), reasonable EC for super soil at the start of the cycle (1.0-2.5 mS/cm, monitor to avoid over-fertilization).
- Solution temperature at 19°C, good for root absorption.
Overall, the plants should progress well, but slightly adjust day temperature towards 24-25°C if possible to boost growth. No obvious issues; with autos being fast, this stability is key.
**Weekly data summary table:**

Sadhus Week 2 - Vegetative Phase: Grow Diary for the Dognabis Cup (DogDoctor Contest)
Strain: Jealousy Diesel Auto (OctoGenetica)
Growing System: Super Soil (enriched mix, Aptus adapted)
Nutrition: Aptus (organic program for Super Soil, natural EC ~1.8-2.0 mS/cm)
Lighting: 1000W full spectrum, controlled by Trolmaster Tent X (gradual increase of 10 PPFD per week)
Environmental Control: Total via Trolmaster (climate, light, CO2, VPD)
Overall Goal: Build a solid foundation for a robust autoflower, maximize the buds considering the fast pace of the auto.
Hey DogDoctor team and Dognabis Cup community! Here’s my week 2 diary in veg for my Jealousy Diesel Auto from OctoGenetica. This auto is already growing like crazy – typical of fast genetics – with strengthening stems and nicely widening leaves. The Super Soil with Aptus is giving a burst of green, and despite a slightly temperamental pH at the beginning of the week, everything has stabilized. Goal: build a dense structure before the auto flips to flower on its own (expected around week 4-5).
Plant Status
The Jealousy Diesel Autos are in turbo mode: average height 10-12 cm, with 3-4 visible nodes. The roots are exploring the Super Soil well, and the leaf color is a deep green thanks to the natural nutrient input. No LST/FIM this week – I’m letting the auto express itself naturally for now, but I’m keeping an eye out for a potential light topping if a dominant one emerges. Soil moisture (average 90%) is perfect, with top-notch drainage via the clay pebbles on the surface. No signs of overwatering or deficiencies – the natural EC of the Super Soil (1.9 mS/cm) is keeping up with the demand.
Environment and Controls
Trolmaster has everything under control: stable temperature around 24°C (target), humidity at 70% (ideal for veg), CO2 maintained at 900 PPM to boost growth. VPD at ~0.9 kPa, perfect for avoiding water stress. Light increased by 10 PPFD (now at ~669 PPFD average), and the graphs show nice consistency. For watering: manual cycles adapted to Super Soil (1-2 waterings/day, ~500 mL per plant), with pH adjusted to 6.1 after some unstable beginnings (5.9-6.3). Root zone temperature at 17.8°C, well-ventilated.

Natural EC Super Soil; stabilized pH
Data Notes: Low PPFD on "Sun" due to light off cycles; focus on Mon/Night. 24h graphs confirm stability (Temp 22-24.5°C, Humidity 58-74%, VPD 0.7-1.0 kPa).
Challenges and Adjustments
Unstable pH resolved: At the beginning of the week, pH was oscillating between 5.9 and 6.3 due to the Super Soil settling in. Manual adjustments with Aptus pH Down stabilized it at 6.1 by the end of the week.
Watering: Slightly reduced volumes (from 600 to 500 mL) to avoid excess moisture – soil remains at 90% moisture, perfect.
Auto growth: No heavy intervention (LST/FIM) for now – the auto is growing fast, I’ll monitor for a topping if needed next week.
Goals for Week 3
Increase light: +10 PPFD (target ~679 PPFD).
Maintain natural EC (~2.0 mS/cm) and pH (6.0-6.2).
Test a light LST if a dominant one takes over, without stressing the auto.

Lighting: 1000W full spectrum, controlled by Trolmaster Tent X (gradual increase of 10 PPFD per week)
Environmental Control: Total via Trolmaster (climate, light, CO2, VPD)
Overall Goal: Strengthen structure before auto pre-flower, maximize flowering sites despite the fast pace.
Hey DogDoctor team and Dognabis Cup community! Here’s my week 3 diary in veg for my Jealousy Diesel Auto from OctoGenetica. This auto keeps powering up – thick stems, nice green leaves, and a diesel smell starting to show. The Super Soil with Aptus is on point, and the stabilized pH makes life easier. We’re in full growth, but the auto is showing signs of pre-flower (slight stretching), so I need to optimize every remaining day.
Plant Status
The Jealousy Diesel Autos are at ~15-18 cm, with 4-5 well-defined nodes. The Super Soil is feeding well, and the roots are active (moisture at 90%, perfect drainage). I applied a light LST at the beginning of the week on the dominant ones to open up the canopy – no FIM to avoid stressing the auto. The leaves are dark green, with no deficiencies, but I’ve noted slight stretching (likely pre-flower in 7-10 days). No topping, I’m letting the energy focus on future sites. Goal: maximize lateral branches before the natural switch.
Environment and Controls
Trolmaster keeps everything in check: stable temperature at 23.7°C (target 24°C), humidity at 70.22% (perfect for veg), CO2 at 900 PPM to boost. VPD at ~0.87 kPa, ideal for healthy transpiration. Light increased by 10 PPFD (now at ~674.5 average PPFD), with even distribution. Manual watering adjusted (1-2 times/day, ~500 mL), pH stabilized at 6.07 after unstable beginnings, and soil temperature at 17.9°C. Everything is consistent with the 24h graphs showing nice regularity.

Sadhus JDC Weekly - Week 6 (3rd Week of Flowering) - Dognabis Cup Strain: Automatic Octogenetica Jealousy Diesel
General Context:
In full flowering for a supersoil setup with the Aptus range, for the automatic strain Octogenetica Jealousy Diesel. This 3rd week of flowering (week 6 overall) aims to maximize bud development despite a detected thrip attack. Thrips cause leaf deformities and stress, especially on young shoots and buds. Treatment ongoing with amblyseius cucumeris and a gentle rinse of affected areas. Stable light at 800 PPFD (controlled via Trollmaster), VPD maintained at 1-1.1 kPa day/night to support transpiration in supersoil. Using Aptus nutrients: increasing the dose with Booster (flowering) and P-Boost (phosphorus for roots/buds), natural soil pH around 6.0-6.5. Key observations (based on screenshots of setpoints and adjusted monitoring): Growth and thrips: Typical stretch for an auto, but thrips are marking the lower leaves (silver spots, slight deformities). One plant is resisting better, the other is more affected. Natural treatment in place, enhanced monitoring to prevent proliferation. No major loss so far.
Temperatures (Plants vs Room): Stable averages at 25°C day (plants) / 22°C night, with max/min framed (27°C max day, 21°C min night). Room slightly cooler at night (20-21°C), promoting resin without thermal stress.
Humidity: Held at 68% day / 62% night (plants), with min at 55-60% to limit thrips (preference for high humidity). Target VPD respected, supporting healthy transpiration.
VPD: Maintained at 0.97-1.04 kPa day / 0.86-1.00 kPa night – optimal for uptake in supersoil despite stress.
CO2 and Light: CO2 at ~800-807 PPM (target 900), good for photosynthesis. Light at constant 800 PPFD, but thrips reduce efficiency – manual rotation to expose healthy areas.
Soil and Nutrients: Well-loaded Aptus supersoil, natural EC ~1.8-2.0 mS/cm increased with Booster and P-Boost (recommended Aptus doses). Soil pH ~6.0-6.5 (self-regulated by the mix), estimated soil temperature at 18-20°C. Partial response in swelling of buds, hindered by thrips.
Issues: Confirmed thrip attack (5-10 individuals/plant), yellowing lower leaves. Gentle rinse + amblyseius cucumeris deployed. No Trollmaster alert outside of VPD.
Actions Taken: Thrip treatment: Light rinse of leaves, release of amblyseius cucumeris, humidity reduction to 60-65% day to discourage eggs.
Aptus Nutrients: Increased with Booster (flowering) and P-Boost (phosphorus), doses adjusted according to recommendations.
Daily rotation to maximize light exposure on healthy areas.
Trollmaster Check: Auto-adjusted VPD, CO2 injected at 900 PPM.
Weekly pH/EC soil monitoring; light watering if EC 2.2 mS/cm.
Weekly photos to track thrip damage and bud development.
Outlook for Week 7:
Reinforce thrip treatment (add neem if necessary, with caution in soil). Push P-Boost if buds respond well, aim for EC 2.0-2.2 mS/cm with Aptus. Maintain tight VPD to support recovery. Yield potentially impacted by -20% due to thrips, but quality preserved if control is effective. Goal: limit damage and maximize bud density.
