Note: Terpyz mentioned that this strain needed an extra 6 weeks for growth on average.
13 regular test beans were placed in a glass of spring water until a 1 cm - 1.5 cm taproot formed.
9 beans germinated.
4 beans failed to crack.
The quickest bean to crack and form a taproot was 36 hours, and the longest bean to crack and form a taproot was 9 days. The average was 4-5 days.
Each cracked bean was placed in an expanded peat puck, inside a small Vivosun germination tent.
One shoot grew three cotyledons.
Once each shoot had formed two true leaves, the shoot was transplanted into a 16-ounce Budcup with a mix of 70% coco and 30% perlite.
The seedlings (inside the BudCup) were fed Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect, 1 mL Micro per litre, and 1 mL Grow per litre.
7 seedlings were transplanted into the 16-ounce BudCups, the last seedling transplanted was 11 days after the first one was transplanted.
I used Xtreme Gardening Mykos Pure Mycorrhizal Inoculant on the final seedling to help with the transplant. She seemed very stunted in height in comparison to the other seedlings.

Although stretching, the growth seemed quite slow. Not many nodes, not many leaves or branches.
I noticed some light spotting and added SensiCal to the mix.
The final (7th seedling) transplanted was showing signs of growth, but still seems quite stunted in height.

Fourth week in 16-oz cups, the ABC (Australian Bastard Cannabis) leaves got bigger and more varied. The plants are still slowly stretching.
I started to notice purple on the new leaf formations. But it grew out as the leaves matured.
I was watering small amounts 2 times a day. They don't seem to be very thirsty.
The final (7th seedling) transplanted still seems quite stunted in height.

MyDankDog Fifth week in 16-oz cups. Some of the leaves are showing minor signs of spotting with lighter green areas on some plants.
Most of the plants have around 8-10 nodes in height.
I'll repot them at the end of this week. I'll also add Advanced Nutrient Revive to the mix to give them a boost.
I can still see some purple on the new leaf formations. But it still grows out as the leaves mature.
Watering small amounts 2 times a day. They don't seem to be very thirsty. Growing very slowly.
I haven't defoliated the plants yet. There doesn't seem to be any need at the moment.

MyDankDog Most of the plants have around 10-12 nodes in height.
Time to repot into larger 1 Gal Rhizo fabric pots. I was hoping that I could potentially spot some hint of a difference between male and female, pre-flipping. But they all look pretty much the same, with some variance in height or width.
The plants heights are approximately between 7-12 inches in height.
Some root formations are a lot fuller than others as well.
I'll repot into a mix of 70% coco and 30 perlite with a healthy dosage of Xtreme Gardening MYKOS Pure Mycorrhizal inoculant for the roots.
I can still see some purple on the new leaf formations. But it still grows out as the leaves mature.
The plants never seem to be very thirsty. Growing very slowly. But I'll water them in larger doses and less often moving forward.
I still haven't defoliated the plants yet. There doesn't seem to be any need at the moment.

MyDankDog This was the week before I headed off to Mary Jane Berlin. I had a plant sitter booked to look after the grow for when I was away.
The plants heights are approximately between 9-13 inches in height.
All of the plants were looking nice and healthy in their new pots.
I was consistently seeing purple on the tip of new leaf formations, but it always faded out as the leaves matured.
I decided that I would start to flip them the following week, when I was away in Berlin, hoping that I would see signs of flower on my return a week later.

MyDankDog The beans were regs, so I had a 50/50 chance of them being male/female.
This was the second week of flipping 12/12, (14 days) I was confused!!! Haha!!
I think I knew what I was looking at, but I was not 100% sure.
This was my first mutant grow, my first ABC grow... what was I looking at???? Haha!
They were alien looking but very beautiful.
They started to have a very mild sweet smell.
The amount of leaves was increasing.
The plants are approximately between 12-18 inches in height.

I am noticing a shift in the ladies, it's too early for senescence, but the leaves are changing. There seems to be a fade. Hard to explain, but there seems to be a huge slow down.
Three distinct growth types.
a: Tall/stacked - Light earthy, fruit smell. Lots of white pistils, but no meat in the colas, seems slower to change to orange pistils. Some trichomes, not many.
b: Fluffy - Smells like fresh mangos. Strong deep smell. Her buds are the most dense, pistils are turning orange. Some trichomes, not many.
c: Spikey/Scruffy - Mild fruit smell. Leaves are showing purple and yellow, pistils are turning orange. Buds are very airy, no mass, just scruffy messy pistils. Some trichomes, not many.
Out of thirteen reg beans, I got three females, one herm, three males.
The herm and the males are outside.
