MyDankDog Terpyz Mutant Genetics - Mentha de Croco Bx1 F2 - Fern-Type:
After 48 hours in spring water, the seed had germinated, with about 1 cm tap-root.
Very small, almost looks like a tadpole.
I potted the cracked bean in a 16-ounce BudCup with ProMix Organic seed starter mix.
At 120 hours the seedling seems to be struggling, or stunted.
At 144 hours, growing very slowly....
One Week (168 hours) It looks like the cotyledons are about to open.
8 days old the cotyledons are almost fully open.... slo-mo grow....
9 days old the cotyledons are almost fully open, I can already see that the first true leaves are mutants even though they are tiny.
10 days old, cotyledons fully open, the first true leaves are visibly mutant in the formation, even at such a small size.
11 days old, she had a bit of a growth spurt overnight, stem about 2.5 inches.
12 days old, starting to see the mutated leaves, they already look awesome!
Feeding with 20ml spring water daily (no nutrients) in a 16oz cup of ProMix Organic seed starter.
13 days old, the leaves are already looking great, hard to tell if there is a second set of true leaves growing.
2 weeks old, I can see the second set of true leaves.

MyDankDog 28 days above ground. She seems to be growing/stretching a little faster. Still quite slow.
Her newer leaves seem stronger/firmer, more fern-like. The older leaves are quite floppy.
33 days above ground, earlier leaves seem less dense in comparison to newer growth.

She's doing well inside the 3X3 on her own, under 150w Vivosun LumaLights.

She smells like citrus disinfectant, and her leaves are getting quite a lot of trichomes.
Her buds are thickening up, and the stakes are doing a great job of supporting the weight.

MyDankDog Nine weeks 12/12.
Inside the 3X3 on her own, under 150w Vivosun LumaLights.
I gave her the first defoliation since growing.
There are a few lower leaves that look like they have early signs of senescence.
Some of the higher leaves look as if they have heat stress, not light burn.
The lights are giving off a lot of heat, (first time using them) I need a taller tent to give more space at the top.
I repositioned the fan towards the lights to see if I can disperse the heat a bit better.
She smells like citrus/pine disinfectant, and a little musky, her leaves are getting quite a lot of trichomes.
I added another support stake. Her buds are thickening up everywhere, the central cola is getting thick.

MyDankDog End of week 12 12/12 going into week 13.
I'm going to harvest her in the next few days.
Currently is the VCure, I'll come back with a smoke report.
She smells fantastic, gas/petrol, chem and pine/lime!!!
She's probably the most stunning plant I've grown, got of to what seemed like a slow start, but ended up being a pretty normal grow. The leaf structure allows for light to penetrate right through the canopy, so no so much of a need for defoliation.
The buds are kinda scruffy, but pretty big and sticky, she needed a lot of support to hold them.
My stack generally looks like this. pH Perfect Micro + Grow + Bloom (custom mixed, I kept Grow in the mix throughout the entire grow, and added Bloom in flower) Big Bud (added in actual flowering for PK boost) Bud Candy (run consistently or sometimes skipped) CalMag as needed (should be more routine in coco baseline every feed) Mycorrhizae in early stages (next time i'll use Voodoo Juice) I water only when the pot feels light, pH 5.9-6.1, PPM capped at 1200. I also used Revive for CalMag deficiencies, and Overdrive about 2-3 week of late flower.
My general approach to a grow is to play it safe, Coco 70% + perlite 30% is mostly inert (especially if it's buffered coco), so it has very little natural biology compared to soil. Adding mycorrhizae (and the bacteria that often come with it) early helps the roots colonize faster, improves nutrient and water uptake, and builds a stronger root system overall. This directly supports my "play it safe" philosophy, healthier roots mean the plant can make better use of moderate PPM feeds (below 1200), custom ratios, and additives like Bud Candy without as much stress. CalMag: Coco is notorious for binding calcium and magnesium. Even if i'm adding it "as needed," I try to make it more consistent and aim for a baseline of 100–150 ppm CalMag (or 1-2 ml/L depending on your brand) in every feed, especially if using RO or distilled low-mineral water. Add it after Micro but before Grow/Bloom in your mixing order. pH target: 5.9-6.1 is good, in 70/30 coco/perlite I let it drift a bit between waterings. Phosphorus and potassium (what Big Bud boosts) become more available in this slightly lower range. Watering style: Because of the high perlite content, the mix dries out faster than straight coco. I wait until the pot feels light. You may need to water more frequently in peak veg/early flower than in soil, but always with runoff (10-20%) to prevent salt buildup. PPM in this medium: Staying below 1200 is very safe and smart. (my opinion) In 70/30 coco/perlite, most people can comfortably run: Veg: 600-950 PPM Early flower: 900-1100 PPM Mid flower (with Big Bud): 1000-1200 PPM
