I won 3rd place on diary of the month back in March and this the last pack from that prize.

Since trying Orange Bud, that came out of California, back in the 80's... I've wanted a strong orange tastings strain for a while..
We'll see if this is the strain I've been looking for. The reviews sound great.
I don't like floaty seeds... So I put them in a silk tea bag and submerge them.
My soak water is Reverse Osmosis water from the water store, but that was 5.1 ph so I had to adjust it to 6.2.
2 cups of RO water with a pinch of cinnamon and 4 drops of 30% Hydro Peroxide.
The cinnamon is anti fungal and has similar properties to cloning gel. The seeds don't mind it.
The Hydrogen Peroxide helps to break down the membrane that surrounds the inside soft little seed, and helps the husk slide off easily.
It also helps clean the water of fungus and bacteria and adds extra oxygen to the water for the little seedlings.

Everybody is looking and doing good. I supported the stems with some copper wire.
They got some food and they all look the same so far.
I'll lower the light a bit next week and get some bigger leaves going.

The plants are doing good and growing well.
They are up to about 600 ppm when I water them
Did the rub test on them and was slapped in the face with a strong cat pee smell with a hint of citrus.
The smell will change as they grow, but I thought if was humorous.

These girls need to be topped. Should have done that last week, but I'll do that this week.
I like to put sulphur on the cut stem. It helps the plants heal up nicely.
I try to not get it on the soil, I tilt the plant, or on the leaves. It looks like white powdery mildew on the leaves.
Almost always gets me, I see it on a leaf a couple of weeks later and the first thing I think is WPM... till I remember...
I see some bottom leaves going yellow. They are asking for a bit more food.

I hope to repot these plants this week and put a tomato cage in each pot for training and to tie the big buds up to.

Everyone is doing good here. They have overcome their repotting experience and are growing a bit now.
Getting those top branches spread out and under that first rung of the cage.
I'll push the smaller branches up through the middle of the plant while spreading out the upper branches.
They are getting about 3/4 strength nutrient now. Still watering it down a bit.
The seed description said these seeds produce big plants, so I'm doing what I can to keep the size down to manageable.

Going good in here. Got some trimming done.
Got the bottom trimmed up and sucker branches taken off.
I've taken off enough leaves that you can barely see through the plant now.
Don't take off too much.
It will take a few days for the plants to get over the trim up and heal up, and then I'll start to flower next week.

Yes... Just flipped when I took pics earlier.
The next trim up will be before the end of week 2... before the resin starts to show
I'll take more sucker branches off and trim up some of those fan leaves in the middle for better air movement.
And any fan leaf that doesn't get light on the bottom comes off as well.

It takes about 3 days before the plants realize the light has changed. sending them into flowering cycle.
The next trim up will be between weeks 2 and 3 of flowering, before the resin starts.

The plants are doing well and you can see the flowers forming already.
My wife sends me the cute or funny pics I use... The one with the hot knives brought back a memory, of a friend at 17 years old, slipped when giving himself a hash hit and burning himself on the cheek... and having to go the school like that.... all the students knew what it was and he got a lot of teasing and had the mark on his face for months... Be Careful...
I'll try to get inhere this week to do a final trim up... Taking off unwanted fanleaves and sucker branches.

Got in here and did some trimming up a few days ago.
Got rid of most of the sucker branches and bottom fanleaves that don't get light.
I also trimmed some of the top fanleaves that block the light from reaching into the middle.
The more light a bud site gets the bigger the bud...
I took a lot off so the plant will slow it's growth for a few day, while it heals... but then the resin production will take off.
You can see in the pics the smallest bit of resin starting on the top leaves.

Did a smell check of the resin and found that
Plant #1 smells of Sweet Mandarin Orange.
Plant #2 smells like a freshly washed Sweet Carrot right out of the garden.
Plant #3 smells like a average Sweet Round Orange.
I'm hoping plant #1 have big, dense, strong smoking, buds. Love that smell.

It's going good in here. About 5 more weeks to go before harvest. And I flush for the last 2 week.
Starting to get some good resin flow going now, that's slippery to the touch.
Got some nice smells going on now with these girls. Sweet Citrusy Goodness.
They are getting a couple of watering's a week now. They are looking good.
Well we've come to the end of Weirdo #13. Hope it didn't offend anyone... it's only art!!!
I'll find something else to fill that spot for next week.
