Isserley Day 7: At the end of week 1 all 4 sprouts look healthy and are about the same height. Transplanting will happen in a couple of days.
Day 5: After almost 5 days in a germination box at 100%rlh and 26°C, under 20hrs light at 140par, all 4 seeds germinated and look healthy so far.
I will keep the environmental conditions like this for a few more days before I pick one seedling of each strain that gets to be transplanted into 11l plastic pots.
Day 1: Welcome to my 2nd grow journal! I've dropped 4 seeds in peat pellets today, but due to space restricitions only 2 will get to grow up.
This time I've picked a mostly Indica (Frozen Black Cherry Auto) and a mostly Sativa (Blue Dream Auto).
Since the tent is currently full, the babies will spend their first couple of weeks in an otherwise unused infrared-cabin (a kind of sauna).
Distilled water only at this stage.
Inside the germination box I aim for 23-24°C and 90-100%rh. Light schedule will be 20/4 till harvest. PAR: 140

Isserley Day 11: Nothing to do with the babies at this stage. Their soil is still moist and they enjoy just the right amount of light for 20 hrs per day.

Day 9: Transplantation done. I selected the stronger looking seedling of each strain and transplanted them into 11 liter plastic pots. I enriched the soil with 110g Zamnesia Monster Bud Mix and pre-moistend the substrate with 2.3l water (pH=5.9) + 1.0ml X-cel per plant. This amount of moisture should last for a few weeks.
PAR: 200
Watts: 43
Day 8: The seedlings are growing nicely and their roots start to poke through the netting of the Jiffies. I'm gonna have to select and transplant them tomorrow.

Day 15: The babies are thriving in their new 11l pots and look healthy. Frozen Black Cherry Auto is a tad taller than Blue Dream Auto.
The only thing I did was putting a moist towel in the grow room to raise humidity, because I need to maintain a low VPD between 0.4 and 0.8kPA at this early stage.

Isserley Day 27: The girls got their first watering today. I mixed two handfuls of worm castings with dry amendments (2Tbs 4-4-4 + 2Tbs 2-8-4), added the mixture equally to the pots and poured 1 liter of water (pH 6.3) per plant over the new layer of substrate.
I also raised the light to 39cm above canopy and increased light intensity from 43W to 56W.

Day 26: Cherry has shot up in the last couple of days, so I LSTd her today. I bent her stem down to promote growth of the side branches. This should give me more yield.
Blue could't quite keep up with her roommate and needs a few more days before I'll train her for the first time.
Still no watering needed as of yet.

Day 22: As of today, both girls are officially in Veg because the first set of 5-fingered leaves popped up.
The soil in their 11 liter pots is still moist enough and will be for a couple more days, I think.
I'll increase the light intensity and adjust the light height tomorrow. I'll also take out the wet towel in order to raise the VPD.
All in all they are still pretty much running on autopilot, which is quite nice.

Isserley Day 35: Cherry grows quite rapidly. I tried to bend a side branch with a bud clip and unfortunately it snapped almost completely through. I immediately applied a drop of super glue to the wound, pressed the two parts together and carefully stabilized the injured branch with a piece of scotch tape. I'm positive that it will swing back within a few days and produce some good buds.
Blue seems to grow a little slower, but still I had to LST her main branch again by readjusting the tie.
I also tucked away the huge fan leaves of both girls to give the lower bud sites more light.

Watts: 121
VPD: 0.64kPA
Day 33: 2nd watering took place today. Both plants got 1.0 liter of tap water (pH 6.1) each.
I also had to raise the light a bit to compensate growth. LST worked well, the side branches are quite level with the main stem.
The girls look like they are going into flower any day now, so I doubled the light intensity.

Day 29: Cherry is growing fast, so I LSTd her main stem again.
Blue is just not ready for bending yet, but she'll get there this week.
Still running on autopilot for the most time.

Isserley Day 41: I had to raise the light again today to compenste growth.
Cherry got LST'd again to keep her canopy flat. Blue is not really stretching and is rather bushy and compact. Her branches are still too short for LST but we'll see how she does in the next weeks.
Still many gnats, the stickies are full after two days. So another bottom watering of 1 liter (pH 6.5) each today.
PAR: 610
Watts: 134
VPD: 0.69kPA
Day 39: Growth is strong, especially Cherry is a beast. Blue is a little slower so I raised her to bring her canopy at par with Cherry's.
I also raised the light to reach about 600par at the top of the canopy. Cycle is 20/4 and DLI is 43.2
They are getting noticeably thirstier and drink 0.5 liters per day. pH: 6.4.
Did a little more LST, but just minor tweaks.
Lots of gnats, so I put out more yellow stickies and bottom watered to dry them out a little.

Day 37: First pistils appeared yesterday.I had to LST both girls again to spread them out and even the canopy.
Cherry is growing like crazy and her mended branch looks like it will recover.
