Guava Auto October 25

ViciousIce There was just a small problem with soil that was too loose and too much water. This was quickly fixed by packing the soil around the seedling and adjusting the amount of water.

ViciousIce The plant has had 0 problems so far, it sprouted 2 weeks ago and compared to my first Guava (back then in Growbox 3.0 80x80x180), it's developing much better. The nutrients have been increased and now CO₂ is being added.

ViciousIce Now 3 weeks since germination, the plant had a few "defective" leaves at the beginning, but otherwise the development is without any issues. Almost a year ago, I had the Guava once before, back then in an 80x80 tent, and I keep wondering how differently the same strain can develop. Enzo says it's normal, but I'm starting to have doubts. If the shape of the first leaves is so different... well, we'll see. At most 6 more weeks.

ViciousIce Somehow the plant seems healthier to me than the first attempt, even though that one was great too. However, I'm using the complete package from Xpert Nutrients for the first time, and I'll be running 13/11 (light/dark) instead of 12/12. Just 4-5 more weeks...

ViciousIce Unlike the first Guava, this one has now grown to a maximum of 120 cm and looks very different as well. Much fewer leaves, a lot more flowers. It turns out that the grow box with 80 cm x 80 cm x 180 cm was probably too small, even for a "small" autoflower. Now the plant has 1 square meter and 2 meters in height (minus about 40 cm for LEDs) and hasn’t hit anywhere so far. That was a real problem with 80x80. The smaller grow box will be used for the first 3 weeks, and then the plant (2026) will be moved to the big one. Since you can have 3 plants, there’s even 1 reserve ;) So far, the conclusion: Just 3-4 more weeks and it looks very, very good.

ViciousIce The Guava is doing what it does best: blooming. There are hardly any discoloration of the leaf tips or even worse problems. It hasn't grown anymore, but at 120 cm, it has reached its maximum height anyway. By the way, for the first time, in 2024 it was 90 cm! It has proven crucial that I now have 1 x 1 meter of space, as well as 2 meters in height. That’s just enough on the sides, there’s barely 1 cm of space to the tent wall. Since I have the filter at the top, I could grow plants up to 150 cm tall in this tent. Either way, I'm looking forward to the next 3 weeks until the harvest. The scent is slowly becoming very pleasant, the Guava smells excellent! I haven't used pruning or other methods so far, just removed about 10 leaves that were "in the way" and covered the buds. Otherwise, the plant has grown almost optimally, the internodes allow for optimal ventilation.

ViciousIce No special incidents. The plant is developing beautifully and still has at least 10 days ahead. The "more" from the CO₂ generator is clearly noticeable. The fertilizer from Xpert Nutrients shows that the Spaniards have enormous experience with these plants and the corresponding nutrients. The plant is absolutely healthy, with no discolorations or other abnormalities. I removed 5 leaves that were more or less in the way of the flowers. Otherwise, I'm skipping training or other techniques; I just want to gain more experience.

ViciousIce I'm starting to doubt that the seeds are actually what they claim to be. The difference from the first Guava is huge, both the buds and the leaves are different. Now, 8 weeks after germination, the plant seems to be mature at least under the microscope (sharp images of that in "Harvest"), some of the trichomes are already turning brown. After the harvest, an RF3 will be started, which should then be clearly recognizable.
