Grow4ever Sfv OG Kush. In my first grow, this strain hermied and ruined it for me, as I discovered the signs too late. However, I'm really drawn to this variety and it was highly recommended to me. So I want to give it another chance in a 60x60. I'm starting in 1L lightmix and later I want to put it in a 40L mix of lightmix, coco, and worm humus; for long-term nutrients, I will use biotabs NL.

Grow4ever Still giving osmotic water with Rootjuice. So far, she has a somewhat stunted growth. I hope it grows out in the next few weeks, as she otherwise has good steady growth.

Grow4ever To be honest, I didn't give her much love after the initial little problems. I only fertilized with Fish Mix from BioBizz, and you can clearly see she's hungry. I think she has overcome her initial issues, though. So, I started activating my plant charcoal yesterday; for that, I soaked it in osmosis water with Fish, Grow-Mix, and a bit of worm humus, stirring it often. Normally, the charcoal should steep for up to 2 weeks, but the minimum should be around 24-48 hours. I've added drainage with clay pebbles in the pots again. The soil is mixed with 5L of worm humus, 20L of Light-Mix, 12L of coconut, and 3L of plant charcoal. For long-term fertilizer, I crumbled in 3 Biotabs NL.

Grow4ever Update after repotting. Unfortunately, I didn't consider one thing while mixing the soil. My coconut soil was not adequately buffered. Too much potassium and correspondingly little Cal/Mag, which was then completely drawn out by the coconut fibers. You can see clear leaf symptoms. Thanks to an attentive comment on Growdiaries, I quickly noticed my mistake and have since been watering with 0.5ml/L BioBizz Cal/Mag and additionally using Epsom salt for a quicker correction of the K,Ca,Mg ratio. The very next day, I noticed a significant improvement. Honestly, the ionic balance really had me sweating. But now I'm relieved and very curious to see how my soil composition stabilizes over the next week. So far, it has handled everything quite well and is growing a bit asymmetrically, but otherwise strong and healthy :)

Grow4ever A few days away and then such bushes in the tent. That meant today it was time to defoliate and set up the SCROG net. Unfortunately, they suffered quite a VPD shock. So this morning, I first watered them with a dose of Cal/Mag and a bit of algamic, and raised the lamp higher. This evening, I went straight to defoliating, because to be honest, I won't find much time this week otherwise. Now they should recover and fit into the SCROG. Oh yeah, my problem child, the SFV OG Kush, still has noticeable leaf deformations. I'll be checking her for hermaphroditism daily during flowering, probably to calm my paranoia.

Grow4ever The flowering has been initiated. Everyone is doing really well so far, and the canopy is nicely filled again, so I will defoliate again around day 20. In the last two watering rounds, I've slowly started adding the fertilizer with BioBizz BioBloom. I want to support the flowering with part of the BioBizz range in reduced amounts, along with a homemade Fermakor from @yan420. It's a chemically derived organic-mineral hydrolysate that is significantly more stable and concentrated than a ferment, but contains biologically available amino acids, fatty acids, and phosphates. I really have to be careful with the dosing here. The huge advantage of Fermakor is that the nutrients potassium and phosphorus are already directly available to the plants. Since I'm mostly working organically with LZD, as I said, it's for support for fat buds. I'm very curious about the test and thank Yan again for sending it for free! Definitely check out his recipe, it's really interesting.

Grow4ever The San Fernando Valley OG Kush had an extremely pronounced stretch last week. Within just a few days, it grew from a plant about 35 cm tall to one over 60 cm. The vertical growth was noticeably stronger than all the other plants in the tent, and it now towers over the others.

Grow4ever Happy New Year! 🎆 After a week away, I returned today to these pretty dense bushes and already somewhat developed buds, the watering went great. However, I immediately noticed a pest infestation, impossible to miss... Accordingly, I started defoliating afterwards, we are on day 20 of flowering. Especially with the GSC, as the infestation originated from her. I ordered predatory mites today, and I hope that with the heavy defoliation, the three will still do well through flowering.

Grow4ever Flowering is progressing. The predatory mites Amblyseius (Neoseiulus) cucumeris arrived quickly 🙏 I hope they keep the thrips infestation under control until the end of flowering. So far, I can't say much about the terps, everything is very subtle. Additionally, the plants received a Fermakor hydrolysate as a flowering booster for the first time in a very low concentrated dose. Thanks again to @yan420 🙏 I’m counting on the direct availability of nutrients P and K and the amino acids to give a metabolic boost. I'm very curious about the final results as always.

Grow4ever The battle against the thrips is lost, even the nematodes can't keep up anymore, but I think they significantly delay the infestation. The sfv og Kush is just about ready for harvest, I think it will be done next weekend, and then I'll give the Girl Scout Cookies and Chocolate Mint OG some more time. To be honest, their stretch and the current internode spacing really bothered me.

Grow4ever The SFV OG Kush was faster through than expected. We are now in week 7. So far, it still has a very grassy scent, I'm looking forward to the curing. Updates to follow.

@tsf_homegrow, thank you, I'm a bit worried about her right now. No normally developed leaf pair so far 😆

@Grow4ever, it looks a bit like damage from too much wet wind. I had a humidifier in front of the fan with one of mine, and it always blew the moist air directly onto one side of a plant that looked similar. Maybe change the angle of the fan. It helped me.💛🏽 But it will be fine; part of it will grow out and will disappear later when defoliating anyway.

@tsf_homegrow, all good, thanks for the tip for sure. The fan is currently placed a bit statically above the plant and is pushing the air towards the exhaust. I don't have a humidifier right now ~60% RH. I was thinking maybe it's a bit too low, that could be the reason. But I also think it might just be due to the genetics or the feminization. She's growing really well otherwise, so I think she'll bounce back.
