Welcome to the first week of the Royal Gorilla and Bubble Kush, both strains are provided by RQS for the RQS outdoor grow competition.
So, these 2 babies popped out of their seed last week, and as you can see.... perfect germination, since these are autoflowers, i didn't use the germination kit.
The soil used is a lightmix (according to dutch local law, it's not a felony to use soil with minimal feeding).
So this round it's not needed to add feeding (fresh fertilized soil), but i will start adding mineral nutrients from week 2/3 of flowering, just to achieve better taste in the end product.
.... Now let's hope the insects don't eat it alive...
Welcome to my RQS bubble kush and RQS royal gorilla outdoor grow
it's night here so i took the pictures inside the house
daytime she is in the outdoor tent due to the bad weather, just to keep them away from the rain a bit.
a bit strange stretch for outdoor, but found the problem, this one was standing in the corner, maybe some
more space will help.
looking healthy and fine, added some rqs fertilizer to the soil, will be watering tomorrow with water only
Welcome to the fourth week of Royal queen seeds Royal Gorilla and Bubble Kush
All is looking good, taking the pot out of the corner was a good thing to do
now you can see the plant is spreading a bit more to the sides...

We had a storm, tent got ripped of the wall and took the plants with it (shelter for the rain)
coming days the plants will need the rest to recover
some hst on the main stem of the royal gorilla
but i think it will recover
.... so far so good
Welcome to week 8 of my Bubble Kush and Royal Gorilla by Royal Queen Seeds
Wow, such healthy leaf and overall performance
the plants are nearly 1 meter from the ground
organic feeding seems to be taken good by both plants
no strange problems
very good for outdoor
good weather/rain resistance.
Welcome to week 9 of my Bubble Kush and Royal Gorilla by Royal Queen Seeds diary
Development is satisfactory, no nutrient problems
i'm thinking about adding mollasses this week
no insect problem so far
both plants have very good weather resistance
a lot of rain did come last week and i didn't put in the tomatoe tent
both plants are looking beautifull
also both together in 1 container, no problem
this year i had some tobacco growing as pest prevention, and after a couple of weeks the majority of invasive insects don't show up.
i noticed 2 mites, i was able to kill 'm, i'm not going to do any pest prevention, just hoping for some hungry ladybug.
Welcome to week 10 of my Bubble Kush and Royal Gorilla by Royal Queen Seeds diary
Almost finished
only watering untll finished
good bug/weather resistance.
Definetely good for day and nighttime.i use it for nighttime the terpenes hit hard on my brain. luckily my brain is not like everyone else's. the gorilla is better for day than than this one. Grow was easy, just watering, Grows nice and bushy, smell is wonderfull. Taste doesn't change when cured, i have 4 weeks cured stuff now. Also need to be said, this doesn't need to be cured, i like the fresh buds slightly more than 4w cured.
i added guano tea to the menu next to the RQS easy boost, results are wonderfull, couldn't imagine better taste from an outdoor. very dense buds. totally different than dutch coffeeshop bubble, this actually smells like bubble gum chewing gum. Really nice strain, and definetely a keeper
@Ganjagardenner,try what i did this year, i hang them on a line for a couple of days, without removing any leaf. after a couple of days when everything was almost dry, i put the buds in a box outside. i have a tomatoe tent that really fits for this kind of things.
