Gave a small dose (1mg) of tigerbloom. vegetative growth has slowed, but buds are preparing to fatten up. the smell is sweet and pleasant. not permeating throughout the house though, its contained to the tent.
They are growing very short and bushy, Its hard to tell where the main stem even is anymore from all the LST.
got a digital microscope -- including some cool pictures of trichome development on the most mature plant
That'll hold you over to start another grow. And if the quality is nice then all is good. I dont think it was the lst. I think it was the soil. Autos have short life so they need to hit the world in ideal conditions to take off. Hot soil will slow that down and rob u of explosive growth time. My plants don't smell like anything but grass still?
Congrats on your harvest bro.
@capogino, my medium is coco coir. Less buffer than soil so ph has to be on point. It's inert so the plant only gets what you give. But it's sort of a passive hydro. With good drainage so its almost impossible to overwater. It's amazing.
@capogino, my medium is coco coir. Less buffer than soil so ph has to be a lil more on point but it's amazing medium. What you give is what the plants get
@capogino, yeah i have the same type of variances. Im giving full spectrum the entire grow. I plan on switching to bloom nutes when i see preflowers..
Man i dunno why i haven't thought of a long skinny spout watering can. Jus looked some up and that'd be perfect.!
@Mr_Ewell, thats interesting, my phenotypes are definitely noticeable...seems these seeds have high genetic variance then. 3/4 of my plants have nicely reacted to the LST and yea there are a lot of bud sites. One of them however just tried to shoot up and never really branched out, its just developing one fat cola despite the LST. Hard to see in my pics, ill see if i can upload one of it. My waterings are also really hard, but i bought a long-spout watering can that made it much easier.
I took a look at your diary and nothing seems too wrong, although the shapes are much different than the way mine grew. Just make sure you're pulling that main top below the other branches when you do the lst, it forces the plant to rush hormones to the branch sites and pump up the other tops. Im doing 24 hours of light and maybe thats why you're a little taller? Also noticed your light is a bit less powerful than mine, im running 450W (advertised) LED
@capogino, im at 25 days from sprout. And ive done alot of research about different mediums which sent me to coco/perlite with distilled water so i know exactly what they're getting. My plants are having the opposite struggle. They were getting tall. Not from light stretch jus seems like i have two different phenotypes. 3 are tall while 2 are short n bushy. Lstd the shit outta them which is giving me a massive headache at waterings. I do give 4 hours of dark which may have contributed to the length. Yu have tons of bud sites. Your plants are gonna look like they're all buds in a couple of weeks.
@Mr_Ewell,
awesome, they are quality seeds, i had 4/5 germinate, and all 4 very healthy. They are much shorter/smaller than I imagined, but the smell of the buds is heavenly...definitely a sweeter citrus smell. Also, they seem to be very sensitive to this fox farms soil, i have struggled with nute burn from these soils as they are really 'hot.' I would really recommend doing the most research into your soil mix, getting a really mild base, and adding some pearlite plus some dolomite lime for ph stabilization.
(i didnt do this and ive continually struggled with soil issues)
