My son got me these seeds for my birthday :D I have never heard of this seed bank before, but it's local; from Toronto. Happy to support local business :)
I wonder if it’s my soil mixture... my seedlings in this cohort aren’t looking as strong as usual. Everything else is the same in this grow as the previous...
Started a bit of LST to get the leaves on the underside get some light. I’m goi g to grow her in the garden outside. She is being hardened off this weekend.
She is very small. I didn't do a good job in early weeks as I was focused on the PK outdoor grow and the Purple Trainwreck grow. These autos have been more or less an after thought. I have more seeds. Next cohort will be much better.
She's getting a bit bigger but she's going to stay smaller than most. I want a do-over... I have more seeds but I won't germinate them until the Purple Trainwreck is done.
She is growing nicely :) She's still in veg but she seems to be stretching a bit. She is the biggest of my autos at the moment. She is very happy outside :)
She is starting to fatten up. She is slower to mature than my Barney's autos, but she is also bigger, taller and likely to produce more yield. We shall see. I find the differences between the strains super fascinating! It's a hobby that never gets old.
This plant was easy to grow. She got off to a slow start, but ended up producing a decent harvest. The yield was pretty average, but she was super easy to grow. I just set her outside and let her do her thing. I did a bit of LST but not that much... I have just germinated two more plants and will use SCROG this time. I think the plant genetics are good, and I would recommend this as a great variety to grow. We vaped some last night and it tastes like candy. For real. and the buzz is super fun! I had the munchies like a mofo which is the only downside as far as I"m concerned.

Have you tried getting more oxygen to your roots? You can mix soil with vermiculite to stop fight the drooping. Helps with drainage. 😊 https://www.amazon.com/QUALITY-VERMICULITE-STARTING-NURSERY-POTTING/dp/B071WVDV8T/ref=asc_df_B071WVDV8T/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=216531753338&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3313744510375624467&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007825&hvtargid=pla-351474798195&psc=1
@BoredSangheili, yup. I make a custom mix with vermiculite, peat and black earth. I was worried that maybe I didn't mix it well enough and there may have been too much peat and not enough black earth...
Edit: ours come from different breeders.
I'm growing the same strain. 100% outdoor. Same age as yours too. Check my diary. Since it's an auto flower, LSTing was not so necessary. She's not gonna get very tall and once she's outside she'll get all the light she needs. Looks like you had some pretty serious stretch, probably due to light distance from the sprout. This is probably the most vigorous plant I've every seen, growing super fast. If you're gonna transplant, do it right now because she's about to start flowering. Mine started at the beginning of last week. Other than that, just do your best to let nature do what she does best, do no more than water, feed, and pest control with neem oil (don't use neem oil last 2 weeks but continue foliar spraying with just water to wash as much of the neem away). Her smell is already very pungent, super stoked.
She is ready for harvest! I took some samples and looked at the trichomes and there is more amber in there than I would normally see... very interesting. We vaped the samples and it's so GOOD! It's funny that this is called Bubblegum, because it tastes like skittles!!! The Zkittles I grew tastes less like skittles than Bubblegum LOL. The buzz is really fun :) Stay tuned for harvest report and pics.
