mountandewwwme Planted a double grape auto in place of the 2 fast bud seeds that dampened off. It also dampened off. Having a hard time keeping the surface level of the soil moist. Caused me to overwater most likely or the soil not being moist at the right time for the seedling. I wonder if the cover crop is pulling to much moisture from the surface at this rate, it’s growing rapidly. It may have outperformed. Anyways, I have another double grape auto I started in a root riot puck. I will pop it in there shortly, it’s going to be about 2 weeks behind unfortunately.

mountandewwwme Topped 2 of them week 2 forgot to snap pics. Added a shutoff for the smaller plant but decided to chance it for the weekend. Hoping with the cover crop it will not stay too saturated. Defoliated a little heavy since I’ll be gone for 4 days. I added some cal mag, sticky bandit and grown from the Bonnie and Clyde line from Cronk. Also had a lot of these bugs. Assuming it’s from the compost, I vacuumed a ton of them up and also sprayed Build-A-Soil WDG fungus gnat stuff. Upon looking it up I think they may have been rove beetles so no big deal. Just annoying. This was recycled build-a-soil light mix.

mountandewwwme Should have left the double grape off auto watering. Everything else really took off. I will need to go back and add shutoffs at each pot. Unfortunately it looks overwatered. Shifted some of them around and turning off the auto watering for the double grape. Nutrients last added were 1/4 strength. The soil must have had more remaining as the tips are burning. Not much smell as of yet. Still beetles as well.

mountandewwwme Let them do a dryback so the DG could catch up. Really like how the BPP is stacking. Finally something easy to trim. Did a heavy defoliation of the PC and Z-UP. Everything is flowering but the DG due to watering stress I’m sure.

mountandewwwme Dryback is working well for the DG however it’s triggered into flower with like 8 fan leaves. She will be small. My errors. BPP looks like showing some cal mag deficiency so I did a light hand watering for everything but the DG of a few nutrients scared to burn anything further. We shall see what happens. Rotated again to turn the auto watering back on for everything except the DG. The ecowitts were all in the low to mid 20’s except the DG. Keeping it off for now and watching the meter daily. Showing some frost.
