Unclebergs Not true germination, as Iām attempting cloning from a mother for the first time. Weāll see if I have transplant success into the 1G coco bags and Hugo blocks⦠The cloning machine developed great roots, but then I had to split open the plugs to get the roots in without damage.
After taking cuts from Mother, I made a 45 degree cut on the stem about a half inch beneath a node. Dipped in clone rooting gel, cut half the leaves off (half of each leaf), and then put in cloner. Cloner was filled with 0.5EC 5.8PH Athena feed (Pro line).
After roots appeared, I transplanted them into coco coins and rockwool plugs that had been soaked in 1.0EC 5.8ph feed. Because I didnāt want to damage the roots, I had to split open the plugs. Not a very efficient way to do it. Next time Iām either cloning directly into plugs or Iām using loose coco / small rockwool chunks to transplant the clones into their final homes.

Unclebergs Plants all looking healthy and growing. I made a mistake when I transplanted from plugs into the HUGO blocks. There was extra space so I soaked a second plug, wrung it out, cut it up and packed it in. I didnāt know that by winging out rockwool you make it terrible for roots, so hopefully Iāll be ok. My vwc on the rockwool plants doesnāt seem to be dropping despite it growing. Hope to see movement this week.
