zas125 After a few days of yellowing leaves and drying tips, we lowered the pH to 6.0 and it seems that helped the plants. We also added Calmag and rooting hormone to support root development.

zas125 Dear diary, This week I've had some problems with spots appearing on some leaves. I wasn't sure what was causing it, but I continued watering with the recommended nutrients. I combined Grow fertilizer with Bloom to gradually introduce the plants to the flowering phase.

zas125 Dear diary, One of the plants had droopy leaves and some stems were turning purple, which indicated to me that it was getting cold. This pointed out a poor setup of the temperature and humidity sensors, but now the overall appearance has improved.

zas125 Dear diary, This week has been calm, just a simple defoliation and raising the pots of the shorter plants to increase the amount of light they receive. The tallest plant seems to be taking longer to produce buds, while the other two seem to be on a better path.

zas125 Dear diary, It seems like everything is going smoothly. This week I've tried supercropping the tallest plant, as it just keeps growing and looks like it will take longer than the others to flower (probably all the stress I'm causing it with these techniques). The others are continuing their process, and the Gorilla Z is incredible, it's the most advanced. But I've found some familiar spots on some of the upper leaves... I've been watering with water from the dehumidifier, which might have contributed to those spots.

zas125 Dear diary, this week has been calm. And it seems like we are entering the home stretch, with the appearance of the brown pistils on one of the Amnesia Haze. We'll need to start checking the trichomes and planning the harvest and drying.

zas125 Dear diary, This week has been pretty chill. I've started to monitor the EC and pH of the runoff water after each watering, and they've shown high readings, so I've alternated a watering without fertilizer and with low pH to correct those values. The Amnesia Haze pheno #2 and the Gorilla Z auto are already on their way to harvest, while the Amnesia Haze pheno #1 seems to be recovering from the mischief I've done to it; plus, I've started to see it producing its first trichomes. I've begun watering the two most developed plants with plain water without liquid fertilizer in preparation for the harvest. It looks like it will be a two-phase harvest. Happy Weedsnday!

zas125 Dear diary, This week has been marked by watering without nutrients for Amnesia Haze Pheno #2 and the Gorilla Z, although some nutrient-free watering has also happened for Amnesia Haze Pheno #1 to lower the leftover water readings a bit, as they were a bit high. The trichomes are evolving incredibly, and I think I could harvest at any moment. I have a question for the community... Do you think it's worth keeping Amnesia Haze Pheno #1 and drying the other two in another place without as much environmental control, or should we accept defeat and sacrifice it so that the ones that are already ready can dry in a controlled manner in the shop? I'm reading you. Happy Weednesday

zas125 Dear diary, This week it was time to harvest the gorilla z auto, as I saw many amber trichomes, so I cut the different branches and put them on this drying rack. Next time I'll try to hang the plant upside down on a clothes hanger at least. They are hanging in the room with about 20°C temperature and a relative humidity of 60%, providing an adequate VPD (0.8-1.0) for the gradual drying of the herb. Happy Wednesday!

Back in the mid 90s I failed my first attempt. What are you wanting to grow next? Something more refined?
zas125
zas125 commented7mo ago
@The_Wanderer, thank you so much for your kindness. I have some more seeds i'd like to try like the white widow or gelato. I'm not savvy enough yet to know what counts as 'refined' 😅. Are you talking about flavor profiles, or maybe more stable genetics? What would you recommend?

@zas125, something unique, perhaps an interesting gardening experience that brings a unique effect as well.
