Typically you want to have about 30-40 true watts per sq ft if you have a high quality LED, which ES is! It is a little low on power for all 8 sq ft, but you should be fine if you properly manage your light height. Plant number is kinda irrelevant because it is all about canopy coverage and space filled. If you are vegging for longer, you can use less plants, shorter veg times more plants. I would recommend 3-4 plants for Veg and then cut that number down to 2 for flower. 4sqft per plant will give you lots of space to let them grow out and help maintain a stable environment in your tent. happy growing!! 👊

I started with the same tent and light. I now have four ES180's in a room. I would recommend Electric sky to anyone. Spend the extra money it's worth it. Plus they have a 90 day money back guarantee.

@Specialkaos, I prefer to grow 1-2 larger plants at a time. The most I had in my 2x4 was 4

With that light you can cover half the space in that tent, that is 4 sq ft. How many plants depends on how long you want to veg. 1 plant per sq ft needs 4 weeks of veg, 1 plant per 2 sq ft will need to veg at least 6 weeks, only 1 plant fir the whole 4 sq ft needs 2 months of veg. Keep in mind that yield depends on the light power you have, not the amount of plants

2 words brother "Light Rail" It's a motorized rail that carries your light back and forth along the length of your tent giving your plants better more even light coverage. This way your buds will have shorter nodes better density rather than just the ones getting the most light. As you lower your light to get more intensity during bloom the range of the light decreases causing the buds on the far ends to stretch. I've been looking into getting a 2x4 tent myself it seems like a good solution without having to buy another/larger light that may cause heat issues in the tent. Depending on your pot size and shape you can grow up to 8 plants(Maybe 10) in 3 gallon square maxi-pots. Seems like 4-5 gallon pots for autos are almost like overkill in my opinion. I've seen some guys using coco coir they seem to be able to grow large plants even in 1-2 gallon pots which is really amazing.

If you are running Autos you could squeeze 4 into the tent at once
