Aeromatics This may.... just mayyyyy.... be my last soil grow for awhile. I may be a full autopot and coco coir convert. I love the full control over nutrients and the ability to give the plant exactly what I think it needs... I like control haha!
That being said, I love soil. I have just had run into some issues with adapting to the water here where I lived. I tried to move to distilled water and it took a few plants to get settled (see difference between Banana Purple Punch and Z-Up Auto diaries), but even with ensuring additional Ventana Plant Science Support (CalMag) in each water, I still ran into a few issues and a bit of buildup.
For this grow, I am sticking with the same soil preparations as my previous grows: Happy frog soil with Mykos. However, I am also going to add some precautionary Dolomite Lime to try and combat, preemptively, some of the CalMag issues.
My soil recipe/setup is as follows:
1.5 inch of perlite in the bottom for aeration
2.5 gallons of Happy Frog
.5 gallon Perlite
2 tablespoons dolomite Lime
3 teaspoons Mykos
I germinated the seed the same as I always go, in an Organiplug! It works absolutely perfect. I put the seed in the center of the plug, put it in a germination try. Toss it in a bag. Cover it in a towel, and place it in a tent. 2 to 3 days later and we are good to go!
I planted the sprouted seedling in the soil with a sprinkle of mykos in the hole.
I watered her in with 150 of distilled water mixed with 1 ml/g Ventana Plant Science Support we are off to the races!

Aeromatics Been an easy start to the week!
I watered on day 4 in a ring about 3 or 4 inches from the organiplug to encourage some root growth: 250 ml.
On day 7, I upped it to 300 ml in a bit further of a ring,
She is looking great thus far and hopefully we will do a bit more of a water heading into week two, but as always, I want to avoid overwatering in soil.
Let's see how week two goes!
