Aeromatics Plan for the grow:
My autoflower autopot grow went great (see Northern Lights Auto and Pink Kush Auto 30:1 Auto Diaries), so I want to take what I learned from that grow and try out some photoperiods!
For this diary, I will be featuring two Punch Pies from RQS x Tyson. The blend sounds amazing and the pain management effects are exactly what I am looking for!
I might try some more advanced training on these given photoperiods are much more resilient than autos and have time to recover, and the autopots and coco can clearly produce some solid recovery… but we will see!
I plan on doing two transplants. I’d like to go from 1.7 pints to 1 g the final 3.9 gallon autopots, using mykos at each step of the way to encourage growth. I doubt they will stay in 1 gallon for long, maybe less than a week.
Nutrients will of course be different too, a much higher ec as we get closer to 2.0 at some points during the grow. It’s all one big experiment with these, given my first photos!
Additionally, given I’m making the full switch to autopots for both my tents, I am going to move to Reverse Osmosis instead of distilled water. I’ll start off with 0 ec water for each reservoir fill and add what I need!
Here are my specifics for the autopots:
Autopot XL Geopot 3.9 Gallon System
Autopot Airdomes
Autopot Airbases
12.4 Gallon Reservoir (shared between 3 autopots)
HITOP 10W Powerful Aquarium Air Pump: 4-Outlets 320GPH
Coco Coir Preparation Process:
For this photoperiod autopot round, I am going to run a bit higher of a ratio than my previous first run with coco and do an 80/20 coco/perlite ratio. I want to eventually get the courage to push to 90, and I will do that for my 6.6 gallon autoflowers that I am preparing, but let’s try an 80 for these photos and see how they do for this run!
My preparations for the coco went well and I don’t think I am going to mess with it! Here is my process:
Soak for 4 hours and rinse coco in/with RO water and drain well
Repeat Soak for 4 hours and rinse with RO water
Buffer with 1 ec solution (Ventana Plant Science Support), soak for 24 hours and drain
Buffer again with 1.2 ec solution (Ventana Plant Science Support and Grow), soak for 24 hours and drain.
I buffered around a gallon of coco for this first batch of photoperiods and filled 2 1.7 liter pots to get ready to received the 2 germinated organiplugs with some Punch Pie seedlings!
I'll follow this same process as I buffer the coco for each transplant, and I might increase the ec for each buffer. That would be part of the "experiment" that I need to research. If you all have any experience there, let me know in the comments!
Germination:
I’ve been using Organiplugs for all my germination for my last 20+ seeds, and I am not going back to any previous system. All you do is: insert the seed, place into a germination cube holder, place in a ziplock back, wrap it up in a towl, place it in a tent, and wait for her to sprout!
I don’t have to worry about anything really, and it almost protects the seed from any real concerns from the seedling/sprouting process.
Once she is sprouted (either I see a taproot, or the sprout actually pops out of the hole, or both!), I placed her about ¾ of the way down into the coco.
In the coco hole, I added some Xtreme Mykos to encourage root development, one of my favorite reasons to use organiplugs!
One sprout is looking just a bit perkier than the other, that is because she popped a day before. They will catch-up eventually!
In terms of watering, the coco was pretty saturated going into this first week of planting, so I may not have to water. But if I do, I will be sure to make note of it during my week 1 post.
This is going to be another fun experiment, but with my previous success in autopots, I can’t wait to get knocked out with some Punch Pie!

Aeromatics They have been growing very well under 24 hours of light! Very little water has been needed this week since the coco was very saturated when planted, but I have water when the coco was dry at about 1/2 inch down from the top and the pots were feeling pretty light. I can start to see the roots peeking out from the bottom holes, so we are likely going to transplant into 1-gallon buffered coco this week!
Here are my waters this week with the following recipe:
In RO water: 4 ml/g Ventana Plant Science Support, 1 ml/g Tribus Original
Day 4: 100 ml
Day 7: 150 ml
It looks like they will need water today or tomorrow (day 10 or 11), and I will add some Ventana Plant Science Grow to that water to start some Veg nutrients. That will be the final water in these small pots before the move to 1-gallon pots!
They will be in those 1 gallon pots for around 1 week to set some solid roots before the move to their final resting spots in the 3.9 gallon geopots (now that I am done with my Northern Lights and Pink Kush Autos). The timing worked out perfect on those!
Things are going well heading into week 2!

Aeromatics This week ran nice and smooth!
It was all about getting 3 gallons of coco buffered up, with the same recipe as my previous buffers, and gearing up for a transplant from these smaller pots to a 1-gallon transition pot.
I didn't have any watering since the coco I was going to transfer into was going to be fairly moist.
I ended up transferring on day 14, and it was the perfect time! The two plants looked beautiful and ready, and when I pulled them out of the tiny pots, the roots looked perfect!
I sprinkled a bit of mykos on the roots and on the coco before planting, packed them in gently, and settled the Punch Pie's into the week long home.
Days 14-21 required little to no adjustments. I didn't need to water as the coco again stayed wet enough during the transition.
I prepared for the final landing into the 3.9 gallon pots for week three!

Aeromatics Another transplant!
This time we went from the 1-gallon pots to the 3.9 gallon pots... same style with just a different size!
I placed the airbases and air domes at the bottom of the Geopot cloth pots, packed in my buffered coco (same recipe as before), and sprinkled in a layer of Mykos at about 1/3 of the way.
The roots filled about 3/4 of the 1-gallon pots, great growth for a week and perfect for a transplant!
The coco was saturated from the buffer enough that they did not need to be watered in.
They are settled in their final homes now, with the airdomes turned on for max oxygenation.
I will start preparing my first batch of autopot reservoir and will likely turn it on in the next 5 days. I can't wait. So far so good with my first photos in Autopots!
