kalmiata Switched from LED seedling lights to Mars Hydro - began light feeding with General Hydro Flora Series. Had some deficiencies early on (I think the pH in the soil & castings got a bit high). Trying to correct with proper pHing and light flushing. Girls were topped at 3rd node, some had the bottom top site that was growing into soil removed (all have 5/6 top sites at this point). Going to let them grow up a bit before doing a little more training to space out the tops.

kalmiata Removed a decent amount of lower bud sites and leaves that weren’t accessing light, goal is to get a few strong top sites on each plants to eliminate energy going to bottom larfy buds. Some plants (particularly the OVUG) showing dark leaves with yellowing tips - next watering will be a light flush with light cal mag to remove any excess nutes and see where that gets us.

kalmiata Cruising right along here - super cropping the two top-top sites on most to condense the canopy a tad. Been doing LST pretty heavily and removing the side shoots 2/3 nodes down from the tops sites yet so they can focus on vertical growth. Orange Velvet UG still has some yellow tips, and the Ethos Cookies is looking pretty dark and glossy (as a matter of fact they’re all a pretty dark green) so we are dialing back on nutes a bit. The pH issue was addressed before anything was severely impacted thankfully - the Mandarin Bubba was definitely hit the hardest by it. I’m not sure if it was the soil or just because my worm castings were high pH (they did have quite a bit of eggshell added and probably could’ve cured longer before mixing into the soil) but most waterings have been going in closer to the pH mark around 6 and coming out now much closer to 6.5 which I’m happy with. Also, I think one of my dogs was munching on the Moon Magic 😂 note the leaves (honestly if any of them had to take it I’m happy it’s that one - I don’t know it it’s the hemp genetics or what but that one just grows so fast and cranks out the hugest leaves).

kalmiata Transplanted 5/7 into 1 gallon pots, for soil did a mix of 4 parts Happy Frog, 2 parts Coir, and 1 part worm castings. Added a tablespoon of kelp meal and crab meal to each one. Didn’t transplant the Mandarin Bubba yet as she’s still catching up to the rest, and currently growing vigorously/not drying out too fast so I felt no need to. Left the Ethos Cookies in her half gallon pots too because she’s very dark and clawing slightly, so I figure she’s still working on nutes in her pot. Transplant was done 2 days ago and roots already reaching the bottom of the one gallons. Going to dial back on nutes for the time being until they get settled in and just let them take up the dry amendments and what’s in the castings, with a little bit of Cal Mag. Lowering pH of water going in to about 5.9 - runoff in new soil is coming out high (seemed like it happened in this mix the last time I potted up too).
