SEEDPOPPERS In the last five days, our Otter Popz x Permanent Marker Seed has developed really strong. We started by soaking the seed in water in the evening – and after not even 24 hours, the taproot was clearly visible. The next morning, we continued right away: The freshly germinated seed was placed in the Eazy Plug and put in the propagator, whose inner walls we lightly misted to stabilize the humidity. After about 70 hours, the little seedling was visibly pushing through the substrate and working its way up. On the fourth day, the seed shell opened completely, and the first cotyledons appeared. Today, on day 5, the seedling has become a stable little plant. It’s still in the propagator and was additionally supported today by a second SANlight FLEX II. With currently about 100 PPFD µmol/m²/s, it’s getting just the right amount of light for a compact, healthy start. The development so far is absolutely ideal – let’s keep it going like this.

SEEDPOPPERS After the successful start in the germination phase, our Otter Popz x Permanent Marker seed has really made the most of its first week of vegetation. First up was repotting: On day 8, the little seedling was placed in fresh substrate and put into the tent for the first time. There, it currently receives about 250 PPFD µmol/m²/s, combined with a stable humidity of 70–80% – perfect conditions to develop roots and slowly gain momentum. We kept the watering deliberately moderate: around 100 ml of water, completely unfertilized, so the roots aren't overwhelmed. In the following days, it visibly gained structure. The stem stretched, the first leaves opened up, and it took on the typical green, healthy color. By day 11, the seedling already looks significantly more vigorous. The leaf area is noticeably increasing, and the plant is responding very positively to the slightly increased light level of still about 250 PPFD. The humidity was around 80%, and there was another 150 ml of water, also unfertilized – just right for this early phase. In two days, the first light fertilization will take place to kick off week 2 of veg. Overall, the development is absolutely ideal: even, healthy, and without stretching – a perfect start for a promising line.
