Cuttings will be sprayed several times a day with the same mixture.
Temp / humidity staying at 78 / 95%
Day 6

bosgrower Quick note on the nutrient measurements ... Jack's 3-2-1 is a mixture of solid nutrients not liquids but there's no way to show that so I'm putting in ml/gallon instead of grams/gallon.
Week 3 05-16-2017
Transplanted to 1 gal root pouches. 1st topping. Went to full strength Jack's 3-2-1

Week 5 05-30-2017
2nd topping and defoliation for mainlining.
Week 6 06-06-2017
Continuing healthy development.
Transplanted the 6 into the 4gal dutch buckets with 1:1 coco:perlite above the drain and just perlite below
Week 7 06-13-2017
Dutch bucket feeding system is making life a lot easier for me and the plants seem to be responding well.
Week 8 06-20-2017
3rd and final topping and defoliation.

Cleaned and patched the flower tent after the last grow. Started configuring the drip and recovery system. All 6 plants are continuing to develop well. I don't know if it's the grow medium, the nutes, or that clones and seedlings develop differently but these plants are growing taller and less dense than the originals.
Week 10 07-04-2017
Transferred the buckets to the flower tent. Not much noticeable change in the plants' development

Starting to see some stretch and preflower activity
Week 12 07-18-2017
Plants are all showing significant (relative to the original soil grow) stretch and bud development is coming along nicely on all tops. Continuing with defoliation to expose as many buds as possible. Had to supercrop all the plants to spread the nodes. Managed to get it done with only 1 piece of duct tape :)

Started flushing the system this week … Ph of the runoff and salt concentration were significantly too high. Fortunately the DOGs are very tolerant and haven't shown any ill effects. The sugar leaves and even some of the small fans are starting to frost nicely … this is the same week they show frost in soil.

Stretch has finished and now it's just the maddening process of waiting for the trichomes to ripen fully.
8/13
Starting to see the first signs of amber on some of the plants. Looks like harvest may start next week even though it will probably take another 2 weeks before all of them are ready. Curious that the "black" tint to the leaves hasn't started yet. Don't know if it's the fact that these are clones or that I've gone from soil and Botanicare nutes to coco buckets and Jack's 3-2-1. Could be that counting the day the clones are cut rather than the day they're rooted as the start of week 1 could also be an issue.
Another possibility is that the tent has been running in the med 80s while the previous grow at this stage was in the mid 70s. Hmmmm.
This is my second Black D.O.G. grow. The first was 2 freebies in soil. This was clones from that first grow in 4 gal coco hempy buckets using the Jack''s 3-2-1 regimen. The strain is a pleasure to grow and responds well to almost any kind of training. I had 2 phenos in the original grow ... 1 finished very fast but was a light yielder, the other took an additional 2 weeks and was a better producer. Both phenos were comparable as far as their appearance and effects. HSO has come up with a terrific strain ... one that will be part of my regular rotation.
The harvest actually took a couple of weeks to finish since I only took the tops initially and let the lower flowers continue to ripen. That''s why there was a delay in getting the dry weight and finishing this diary.

bosgrower Superthrive and Liquid Karma were only used during the cloning process. Only the Jack''s 3-2-1 regimen was used for plant nutrition after the clones rooted. Until they add Jacj''s to the database, I have no way to show it here.
@bosgrower, Whats the gph of your pump? I had one left over from my shot at hydro. I eventually turned my return valve off. All nutes now go to the plants. Where the spray hits the coco and down for a few inches, there is a zone of more intense root growth than anywhere else in the pot, so I found.
Congrats on a beautiful grow.
@Mr_Positivo, They're terrific. It's taken a while to get the supply and return system set up the way I want it, but I've got great saturation and the ph and ppm are rock solid.
@@@Tryhard_grower, I hadn't originally planned to document this grow because I was focused on the Dutch bucket system and working out a viable return so I didn't take a lot of pictures early in the grow. I now wish I had.
Oh yes the stretch is over and all focus has now shifted into bud production. Can i ask are these pictures around week 6 of 12/12 the flower cycle?
Looking great so far and not to long now until harvest ;)
Absolutely stunning grow with what looks like a great end yield of some fire end product. You have done a great job with this strain and the black dog due to her fast flowering time and outstanding end product is fast becoming a fan favourite.
