Sejanus21 I am proud to announce that this grow is sponsored by Paradise Seeds. They send me free seeds of CBDelight and CBD Relax. Thank you very much! I will do my very best to properly take care of the seeds :-) CBDelight in a Lechuza LS 35 was my best outdoor grow last summer, yielding almost 200g high quality tincture material. Unfortunately, I did not document the grow here. Now it is time to stack up with an indoor grow. You never can have enough CBD! Here are the details of my setup and the successful germination process. I am writing the reports with the help of Claude Sonnet 4.5. # Paradise Seeds CBD Indoor Grow - Germination Report **Grower:** Sejanus21 | **Location:** NRW, Germany **Strains:** CBD Delight & CBD Relax (Paradise Seeds, photoperiod feminized) **Start Date:** November 22, 2025 --- ## GERMINATION PHASE ### Method & Timeline **Paper Towel Technique:** - Started: Saturday, Nov 22 (evening) - Taproot visible: Monday, Nov 24 (48 hours) - Success rate: **2/2 (100%)** ✅ Both seeds showed healthy white taproots (2-3cm) with excellent vigor within 48 hours. --- ## ROCKWOOL TRANSFER (Nov 24, 13:00 - Day 0) ### Setup - **Cubes:** Pre-soaked rockwool (pH 5.86, 23°C, 30min) - **Heat:** RIOGOO heating mat (constant 22°C) - **Light:** SanLight EVO 3-80 (initial 20% dimmer, 18/6 cycle, 65cm distance) ### Transfer Process Both taproots inserted carefully, seed coats just below surface, cubes labeled and positioned on heating mat. ### CBD Relax Incident Initially inserted inverted (cotyledons down). Sejanus21 # CBD Winter Grow - Week 2 Update (Dec 13, 2025) ## Current Status **Day 19 since germination | Day 13 since transplant into final containers** - **CBD Delight**: 7cm height, excellent lateral growth - **CBD Relax**: 5cm height, compact structure Both plants showing good bushing and node development, though some minor leaf issues have appeared. ## Growing Conditions **Environment:** - Temperature: 21°C average - Humidity: 63% RH - Light: SanLight EVO 3-80 at 40cm distance, 30% intensity **Setup:** - Container: Lechuza LS 35 with recycled Pon substrate - Watering: Every 3 days with nutrient solution ## Nutrient Strategy **Current formula (per liter):** - 0.25g Calcinit - 0.3g Hakaphos Green - 0.3ml Fulvital Plus - 1ml phosphoric acid 8.5% (pH adjustment) - EC: 1.4 mS/cm - pH: 5.8-6.0 ## Observations & Adjustments **Issue identified:** Minor leaf discoloration and slight edge curling on both plants. Analysis suggests magnesium deficiency despite adequate EC levels. **Root cause:** Combination of LED lighting (higher Mg demand), recycled Pon substrate (depleted reserves), and Hakaphos Green not providing sufficient Mg for this specific system. **Fungus gnats:** Discovered that the recycled Pon substrate contained some fungus gnat larvae from previous grows. However, given Pon's purely mineral composition with zero organic matter, this shouldn't develop into a persistent problem - the larvae have nothing to feed on. **Solution implemented today:** Adding Epsom salt (MgSO₄) to nutrient mix: - New formula includes 0.1-0.15g Epsom salt per liter - Expected EC: ~1.5-1.6 mS/cm - Should see improvement in new growth within 3-5 days ## Key Learnings Interesting discovery: outdoor grows in soil didn't require supplemental magnesium, but the indoor LED + Pon system does. This appears system-specific rather than strain-specific, likely due to: - Higher photosynthesis rates under full-spectrum LEDs - Depleted mineral reserves in recycled substrate - Consistent environment driving higher nutrient uptake ## Next Steps - Monitor new leaf development for health improvement - Continue 3-day watering schedule with adjusted formula - Old leaf damage will remain, focus is on new growth quality - If improvement confirmed, Epsom salt becomes standard addition Overall quite satisfied with the lateral growth pattern. These Paradise Seeds genetics continue to show their reliability even when minor issues arise. --- *Growing in NRW basement setup with SanLight EVO 3-80*

Sejanus21 # CBD Winter Grow - Week 3 Update (Day 12-19) **Date Range:** December 13-20, 2025 **Strains:** CBD Delight & CBD Relax (Paradise Seeds) **System:** Lechuza LS 35 with recycled Pon substrate **Lighting:** SanLight EVO 3-80 ## Current Status (Day 19) Both plants are developing well after successfully managing an EC crisis: - **CBD Delight:** 10cm height, compact growth - **CBD Relax:** 8cm height, showing characteristic leaf morphology ## Key Events This Week **EC Crisis Resolution:** After again discovering extremely high runoff EC values (2800-3200+) on Day 12, I implemented a systematic rainwater flushing protocol. The recycled Pon substrate was releasing stored nutrients from the previous grow cycle through zeolite ion exchange. **Recovery Protocol:** - Multiple rainwater flushes to reduce substrate EC - Current runoff stabilized at EC 2000 (Delight) and EC 2400 (Relax) - Resumed feeding today with EC 1000 input (Compo Complete + rainwater, pH 5.8) - 3-day watering intervals with approximately 1.5L per container ## Observations **Positive Signs:** - New growth showing healthy green color - Plants expanding laterally with good internode development - Strong stem development on both plants - Active recovery from nutrient stress **Legacy Issues:** - Older leaves show discoloration from the EC crisis - these won't recover but document the stress period - New foliage is completely healthy, confirming successful crisis management ## Next Steps **Topping scheduled for Day 26** (December 29) - waiting one more week to ensure: - 5-6 developed nodes for optimal branching - Complete recovery from stress period - Following Paradise Seeds' 4-week recommendation The EC crisis demonstrates the importance of monitoring runoff values, especially with recycled substrate. Both plants are now on track for healthy development. --- *Setup: Indoor basement grow, NRW, Germany | SanLight EVO 3-80 | Lechuza LS 35 + Pon*

Sejanus21 # CBD Winter Grow 2025-26 | Week 5 Update **Grower:** Sejanus21 | **Location:** NRW, Germany **Period:** December 28, 2025 - January 3, 2026 (Days 34-40) --- ## QUICK STATS **Strains:** CBD Delight & CBD Relax (Paradise Seeds) **System:** 2x Lechuza LS 35 (13L) with recycled Pon substrate **Lighting:** SanLight EVO 3-80 @ 40%, 50cm distance, 18/6 cycle **Environment:** Basement grow room, 19.7°C avg, 56% RH --- ## WEEK SUMMARY - POST-TOPPING RECOVERY Week 5 focused on recovery from topping and establishing the dual-cola structure. Both plants responded well to the structural training, though persistent high runoff EC required end-of-week intervention. Root systems are now actively colonizing the reservoirs, setting the stage for accelerated growth in Week 6. **Week Highlights:** - ✅ Successful post-topping recovery (Day 34-40) - ✅ Dual main colas clearly emerging on both plants - ⚠️ Persistent high runoff EC (2500) - flush protocol executed Day 40 - ✅ Roots reaching reservoir on both plants - ✅ Compact, bushy growth structure developing - ✅ Zero stress symptoms despite EC challenge **Growth Metrics:** - CBD Delight: 13cm → 18cm (+5cm in 7 days) - CBD Relax: 12cm → 16cm (+4cm in 7 days) - Growth rate: Moderate (slightly below target due to EC limitation) --- ## PHENOTYPE PROGRESSION The distinct characteristics between the two Paradise Seeds strains continue to express: **CBD Delight - Sativa-Leaning Structure:** - Taller vertical growth (+5cm this week) - Slightly longer internodal spacing - Dual colas emerging with excellent symmetry - More sensitive to substrate EC fluctuations - Leading the height race as expected **CBD Relax - Indica-Dominant Expression:** - More compact growth habit (+4cm this week) - Tighter node stacking maintained post-topping - Broader leaf structure with rounder fingers - Better stress tolerance throughout recovery - Will likely finish 8-10cm shorter than Delight Both plants showing classic post-topping response: initial slowdown followed by lateral branching acceleration. The topping on Day 33 has created perfect dual-cola foundations with two existing branches on third node to build a four top canopy. --- ## NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT - EC CHALLENGE ### Week Status Overview **Input Solution:** - Haifa Polyfeed 18-18-18: 0.5g/L - Yara Calcinit: 0.5g/L - Fulvital Plus: 0.5ml/L - Target: EC 1400-1500, pH 5.7-6.0 **Persistent Problem:** - Runoff EC: 2500 mS/cm (consistently high throughout week) - Root cause: Recycled Pon zeolite continuing to release stored minerals - Impact: Slightly reduced nutrient uptake = slower than expected growth ### End-of-Week Intervention (Day 40 - Jan 3) **Flush Protocol Executed:** 1. Emptied both reservoirs completely 2. Applied 1L rainwater directly to each reservoir (bottom-up dilution) 3. Top-watered with 2L nutrient solution per plant (EC 1400) 4. Goal: Reduce reservoir EC from 2500 → ~1800-2000 range **Solution Rationale:** - Conservative EC 1400 input ensures safe dilution - Combined top/bottom watering approach flushes entire substrate column - Allows continued nutrient availability (not pure water flush) - Maintains feeding schedule without starvation period **Expected Outcome:** - Final reservoir EC: 1800-2000 (acceptable range for Week 5-6) - Plants can resume normal nutrient uptake - Growth acceleration in Week 6 as EC stabilizes --- ## ROOT DEVELOPMENT UPDATE **Reservoir Colonization:** Both plants now showing visible roots penetrating into the 3.7L reservoirs through the Lechuza insert. This is a critical milestone that enables: - Direct bottom-feeding capability - More consistent water/nutrient availability - Reduced dependence on top watering - Foundation for aggressive vegetative growth in coming weeks **Water Consumption Pattern:** - Early week: ~0.5L per plant per day - End of week: ~0.6-0.7L per plant per day (slight increase) - Reservoir refill cycle: Every 4-5 days - Target for Week 6: Every 3 days (as consumption increases) --- ## ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS **Temperature Management:** - Average: 19.7°C (slightly below ideal 21°C target) - Impact: Minimal - plants showing no cold stress - SanLight at 40% provides modest heat contribution - Will naturally increase with light intensity stepping (50% → 60% Week 6) **Humidity Control:** - Average: 56% RH - Target range: 55-65% (vegetative phase) - Status: Perfect - no adjustments needed - Basement environment naturally stable **Lighting Performance:** - SanLight EVO 3-80 @ 40%, 18/6 schedule - Distance: 50cm from canopy - PPFD estimate: ~350-400 µmol/m²/s at plant tops - No light stress symptoms observed - Ready for intensity increase next week --- ## OBSERVATIONS & INSIGHTS **Recycled Pon Behavior:** The persistent high EC (2500) demonstrates that recycled Lechuza Pon zeolite requires more aggressive flushing than initially anticipated. The 3x rainwater flush on Day 7 (Week 1) reduced EC temporarily, but mineral release continued through Weeks 2-5. **Key Learning:** For future grows using recycled Pon, consider either: 1. More frequent prophylactic flushing (weekly) during early vegetative phase 2. Longer pre-grow flushing protocol (3-5 cycles before planting) 3. Higher percentage of fresh Pon in mix (current: 5/6 recycled, 1/6 fresh) **Growth Pattern Analysis:** Post-topping growth slightly below target (18cm vs. 20cm expected for CBD Delight) is directly attributable to the EC stress limiting nutrient uptake. However, the plants maintained excellent health throughout - no tip burn, no deficiencies, no wilting. This demonstrates: - Lechuza system's buffering capacity during stress - Paradise Seeds genetics' resilience to EC fluctuations - Proper pH management preventing lockout despite high EC **Agricultural Fertilizer Validation:** Despite the EC challenges, the Haifa Polyfeed + Yara Calcinit system continues to perform flawlessly. The issue is substrate behavior, not fertilizer quality. Cost efficiency remains exceptional: - Week 5 feeding cost: ~€0.08 total (both plants, full week) - Cannabis-specific equivalent: ~€2.50-3.00 - Quality outcome: Identical (plants don't read labels!) --- ## WEEK 6 OUTLOOK **Growth Targets (Days 41-47):** - CBD Delight: 18cm → 28-30cm (aggressive vertical push) - CBD Relax: 16cm → 24-26cm (proportional growth) - Four main cola structure clearly visible by week's end **Nutrient Strategy:** - Increase to Week 6 formula: 0.6g Calcinit + 0.7g Polyfeed + 0.6ml Fulvital - Target EC: 1700-1800 (now achievable with stabilized substrate) - Method: Reservoir refill every 3 days - Monitor: Weekly runoff EC check (should stay 2200 by Day 44, execute second rainwater flush 3. Begin transition to reservoir-only feeding (no more top watering unless EC crisis) 4. Photo documentation for Paradise Seeds genetics report --- ## RATING & CONFIDENCE **Week 5 Performance:** 8/10 - ✅ Post-topping recovery successful - ✅ Root development on track - ✅ EC crisis managed proactively - ⚠️ Growth slightly below target (EC-related, now resolved) - ✅ Zero plant stress symptoms - ✅ Excellent phenotype expression **On Track For:** - Flowering transition: January 26, 2026 (Week 8, Day 58-62) - Harvest: March 23, 2026 (Week 16, Day 121) - Target yield: 180-220g total (both plants combined) - CBD self-sufficiency: 18-20 months family consumption **Confidence Level:** HIGH The EC flush on Day 40 removes the primary growth limitation. Week 6 should show aggressive vertical growth as plants capitalize on corrected nutrient availability and increased light intensity. Topping structure is perfect, roots are establishing in reservoirs, and both plants remain completely healthy despite the substrate challenges. --- *Report Period: December 28, 2025 - January 3, 2026 (Days 34-40)* *Next Update: Week 6 completion (January 10, 2026)* *Final Harvest Target: March 23, 2026*

Sejanus21 # CBD Winter Grow - Week 6 Update (Day 40-47) **Date Range:** January 4-10, 2026 **Strains:** CBD Delight & CBD Relax (Paradise Seeds) **System:** Lechuza LS 35 with recycled Pon substrate **Lighting:** SanLight EVO 3-80 ## Current Status (Day 47) Post-topping recovery progressing excellently with both plants showing vigorous lateral development: - **CBD Delight:** 28cm height, strong dual cola structure - **CBD Relax:** 26cm height, compact bushier morphology ## Key Events This Week **Light Management Adjustment:** After running at 50% intensity throughout Week 5, increased to 60% on Day 47 while simultaneously adjusting distance from 35cm back to 50cm. This provides more intensity while maintaining safe PPFD levels for the current developmental stage. **Nutrient Management (January 6):** Reservoir refilled with 3.7L per plant using Week 6 formula: - Calcinit: 0.5g/L - Polyfeed 18-18-18: 0.7g/L - Fulvital Plus Liquid: 0.5ml/L - Input EC: 1800 µS/cm - Runoff EC: 1750 µS/cm **Water Consumption:** Reservoir at approximately 2/3 empty after 4 days - consumption rate increasing as expected with larger plant mass and higher transpiration. Current consumption approximately 2.5L per 4 days per plant. ## Observations **Positive Development:** - Both plants showing excellent post-topping recovery - Dual cola structure clearly established on both strains - Healthy deep green coloration throughout - Tight internode spacing indicating optimal light intensity - EC drift minimal (1800 input â†' 1750 runoff) confirms proper nutrient balance - Root systems fully colonizing reservoirs **Growth Pattern:** CBD Delight maintaining characteristic height advantage as expected from sativa-leaning genetics. CBD Relax developing more compact structure with slightly broader leaves - typical indica influence showing clearly now. ## Next Steps **Week 7 Targets:** - Continue monitoring reservoir consumption (expecting 3-day refill cycle) - Maintain 60% light intensity through Week 7 - Target heights by Day 55: Delight 32-38cm, Relax 30-35cm - Begin planning flowering transition timing (estimated Day 58-62) **Flowering Trigger Strategy:** Will switch to 12/12 when CBD Delight reaches approximately 50-55cm height. Current growth rate suggests this will occur late January (Day 58-62 range) as projected in cultivation plan. The recycled Pon EC management continues performing well with proper monitoring. No signs of salt accumulation with current feeding schedule. --- *Setup: Indoor basement grow, NRW, Germany | SanLight EVO 3-80 @ 60% | Lechuza LS 35 + recycled Pon*

Sejanus21 # CBD Winter Grow 2025-26 | Week 7 Update **Grower:** Sejanus21 | **Location:** NRW, Germany **Period:** January 11-17, 2026 (Days 48-54) --- ## QUICK STATS **Strains:** CBD Delight & CBD Relax (Paradise Seeds) **System:** 2x Lechuza LS 35 (13L) with recycled Pon substrate **Lighting:** SanLight EVO 3-80 @ 60% during week, increased to 70% on Day 54 **Environment:** Basement grow room, 19.4°C avg, 67.7% RH --- ## WEEK SUMMARY - PRE-FLOWER PUSH Week 7 marks the final stretch before flowering transition. Both plants showed aggressive vertical growth following the light intensity increase and are approaching the critical 50cm height target for 12/12 switch. **Week Highlights:** - ✅ Strong vertical growth acceleration - ✅ Dual-cola structure fully established - ⚠️ Minor guttation observed on CBD Delight (resolved) - ✅ Plants approached 40cm from light - requiring adjustment - ✅ Light increased to 70% @ 50cm distance today (Day 54) - ✅ EC management optimized - ✅ Root systems fully colonizing reservoirs **Growth Metrics:** - CBD Delight: 30cm → 39cm (+9cm in 7 days) - impressive! - CBD Relax: 26cm → 35cm (+9cm in 7 days) - matching pace! - Growth rate: Excellent acceleration under 60% light this week --- ## PHENOTYPE PROGRESSION **CBD Delight - Sativa Expression Continues:** - Leading the height race as expected - 9cm weekly growth under 70% light intensity - Slight leaf tip darkening & downward folding (EC-related, resolving) - First to show guttation response (higher transpiration rate) - Target: 50cm for flowering switch (11cm remaining) **CBD Relax - Indica Stability:** - Keeping pace with aggressive growth (+9cm) - More compact structure maintained despite stretch - No stress symptoms throughout week - Better overall stress tolerance as usual - Projected finish: 45cm at switch time The 4cm height differential between strains is exactly what I expected from phenotype analysis - both will hit flowering ready within days of each other. --- ## NUTRIENT & WATER MANAGEMENT ### Current Protocol **Reservoir Refill (Day 54 - January 17):** - Solution: 4.5L total (2.25L per plant) - Haifa Polyfeed 18-18-18: 0.7g/L - Yara Calcinit: 0.7g/L - Fulvital Plus: 0.7ml/L - Input EC: 1770 μS/cm - pH: 5.65 - Water temp: 18°C (rainwater) **Reservoir Management Strategy:** - 1.5-day dry period before refill (combat guttation) - Direct reservoir feeding only (no top watering) - Basement ventilation increased during warmer weather - Result: Guttation eliminated ✅ ### EC Situation Update Previous Week 6 concern about persistent high EC has been successfully managed through adjusted feeding schedule. The 1.5-day reservoir pause allowed plants to regulate root pressure and eliminated excess water uptake symptoms. **Current Assessment:** - Input EC 1770 is upper range for current phase - Minor leaf tip darkening on CBD Delight = slight historical accumulation - Plan: Reduce to 0.6g/L all components next feeding - Target: EC ~1500-1550 for final week of vegetative growth - New growth should emerge clean with adjusted protocol --- ## ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ### Temperature & Humidity - Average temperature: 19.4°C (never below 18.7°C during ventilation) - Humidity: 67.7% RH (rising with warmer outdoor temps) - Ventilation strategy: Periodic airing without excessive cooling - Dehumidifier: Reserved for flowering phase (cost management) **Rationale:** Vegetative phase tolerates higher RH (up to ~75%). With Paradise Seeds' proven botrytis resistance and good air circulation (fan running), current humidity is acceptable. Dehumidifier activation planned for 12/12 switch to maintain 50-55% RH during bud development. ### Light Management Evolution - Week 6: 50% intensity @ 45cm distance - Week 7: 60% intensity @ 45cm distance - End of Week 7 (Day 54): Plants grew to 40cm from light (height: 39cm + stretch) - Adjustment today: Increased to 70% intensity + raised to 50cm distance - Result: Maintained optimal light exposure while preventing stress - Week 8 plan: Maintain 70% @ 50cm through remaining vegetative days **Rationale for adjustment:** The impressive 9cm weekly growth brought the canopy within 40cm of the light fixture. Rather than risk light stress at close distance, I simultaneously increased intensity to 70% while raising the fixture to 50cm - maintaining photon delivery while ensuring safe working distance. --- ## OBSERVATIONS & INSIGHTS **Guttation Response:** CBD Delight showed water droplets on leaf edges mid-week - classic guttation from high root pressure. This occurred because: 1. Continuous reservoir availability 2. High basement humidity (67.7%) 3. Reduced transpiration during cooler periods **Solution implemented:** - 1.5-day reservoir dry period - Increased basement ventilation - Result: Problem resolved without impacting growth ✅ **Key Learning:** Even in hydroponic systems, plants benefit from slight water stress periods to regulate internal pressure. The Lechuza reservoir system makes this easy to control. **Root Development:** Both plants are actively pulling from reservoirs now - the self-watering advantage is fully operational. Root systems have colonized their 13L containers effectively, setting up perfect conditions for flowering stretch. **Cost Efficiency Update:** Week 7 nutrients: ~€0.10 total for both plants. Cannabis-specific equivalent: ~€2.50-3.00. Agricultural-grade fertilizers continue to deliver professional results at fraction of retail marketing prices. --- ## FLOWERING TRANSITION TIMELINE ### Current Status (Day 54) - CBD Delight: 39cm (target: 50cm for switch) - CBD Relax: 35cm (will switch simultaneously) - Remaining growth needed: ~11cm for Delight ### Projected Switch Date **Estimated: January 24-26, 2026 (Days 61-63)** At current growth rate (9cm/week), CBD Delight will hit 50cm in approximately 6-8 days. This aligns perfectly with original timeline projection of January 26 switch date. **Final Week 8 Vegetative Strategy:** - Continue 70% light intensity - Reduce EC to 1500-1550 (0.6g/L formula) - Monitor daily height progression - Execute 12/12 switch when Delight reaches 50cm - Both plants will transition simultaneously **Expected Stretch Calculation:** - CBD Delight @ 50cm × 2.0-2.5x = 100-125cm final - CBD Relax @ 45cm × 1.5-2.0x = 68-90cm final - Both well within 135cm height limit (including 40cm light distance) --- ## NEXT STEPS - WEEK 8 **Growth Targets (Days 55-61):** - CBD Delight: 39cm → 50cm (+11cm in 7 days) - CBD Relax: 35cm → 45cm (+10cm in 7 days) - Final vegetative structure completion **Nutrient Strategy:** - Reduce to 0.6g/L Calcinit + 0.6g/L Polyfeed + 0.7ml/L Fulvital - Target EC: 1500-1550 μS/cm - Final vegetative feeding before transition - Monitor new growth for clean emergence (no tip burn) **Environmental Prep:** - Continue periodic ventilation - Monitor humidity (acceptable until flowering) - Prepare dehumidifier for flower activation - Ensure 12/12 timer ready for switch **Documentation:** - Daily height measurements - Pre-flower structure photos - Final vegetative report before 12/12 - Paradise Seeds genetics documentation --- ## RATING & CONFIDENCE **Week 7 Performance:** 9/10 - ✅ Excellent vertical growth (+9cm both plants) - ✅ Guttation issue identified and resolved - ✅ Light management perfectly executed - ✅ Dual-cola structure fully established - ⚠️ Minor EC-related tip symptoms (correcting) - ✅ On perfect timeline for flowering switch **Overall Grow Status:** - Vegetative development: Excellent - Structural foundation: Perfect for flowering - Root systems: Fully established in reservoirs - Environmental control: Optimized - Timeline: Precisely on track ✅ **Confidence Level:** VERY HIGH Both plants are hitting their stride at exactly the right moment. The light increase triggered the acceleration I was looking for, and the height targets are within reach. EC adjustment next feeding will clean up the minor tip symptoms, and we'll transition to flowering with perfect structure. Paradise Seeds genetics continue to impress with their stability and predictable growth patterns. The dual-cola training from Week 4 topping has created exactly the canopy structure I wanted. **On Track For:** - Flowering transition: January 24-26, 2026 (Days 61-63) - Harvest: March 23, 2026 (Day 121) - Target yield: 180-220g total (both plants combined) - Vacation departure: April 4 (12 days post-harvest buffer) ✅ Zero stress ahead! 🌿 --- *Report Period: January 11-17, 2026 (Days 48-54)* *Next Update: Week 8 completion - Final vegetative week* *12/12 Switch Target: January 24-26, 2026* **Growing Philosophy:** Agricultural science over marketing. Systematic observation. Responsive management. Professional results. 💪🌿

Sejanus21 # CBD Winter Grow 2025-26 | Week 8 Update - FLOWER TRANSITION **Grower:** Sejanus21 | **Location:** NRW, Germany **Period:** January 18-24, 2026 (Days 55-61) --- ## QUICK STATS **Strains:** CBD Delight & CBD Relax (Paradise Seeds) **System:** 2x Lechuza LS 35 (13L) with recycled Pon substrate **Lighting:** SanLight EVO 3-80 @ 70%, 50cm distance, switching to 12/12 on Day 61 **Environment:** Basement grow room, 19.8°C avg, 64% RH --- ## WEEK SUMMARY - FINAL VEG & FLOWERING SWITCH Week 8 concluded the vegetative phase with both plants reaching optimal heights for flowering transition. The 12/12 switch was executed today (Day 61), marking the beginning of the flowering phase right on schedule. **Week Highlights:** - ✅ Target heights achieved: CBD Delight 48cm, CBD Relax 45cm - ✅ 12/12 switch executed today (January 24) - ✅ First flowering nutrients applied - ✅ Different water consumption patterns observed - ⚠️ CBD Delight shows persistent minor tip symptoms (EC management ongoing) - ✅ Perfect timeline - exactly as planned! **Growth Metrics:** - CBD Delight: 39cm → 48cm (+9cm in 7 days) - CBD Relax: 35cm → 45cm (+10cm in 7 days) - Growth rate: Consistent strong performance under 70% light --- ## PHENOTYPE OBSERVATIONS **CBD Delight - Sativa Expression:** - Reached 48cm (target was 50cm - close enough!) - Continuing to show slight leaf tip darkening/folding - Lower water consumption than CBD Relax this week - EC sensitivity requires diluted feeding approach **CBD Relax - Indica Powerhouse:** - Explosive growth: 45cm (catching up fast!) - Significantly higher water uptake from reservoir - Zero stress symptoms - rock solid health - Denser foliage structure developing Interesting reversal: CBD Relax is now drinking more aggressively despite being slightly smaller. This suggests higher metabolic activity and denser leaf mass - classic Indica behavior. --- ## NUTRIENT TRANSITION TO FLOWERING ### Today's Feeding (Day 61 - January 24) **First Flowering Formula Applied:** - Hakaphos Soft Novell: 0.6g/L (NPK balance for stretch) - Hakaphos Basis 3: 0.5g/L (PK boost beginning) - Fulvital Plus: 0.5ml/L (chelates) - Input EC: 2000 μS/cm - pH: 5.69 **Plant-Specific Adjustments:** **CBD Relax (empty reservoir):** - 3L full-strength flowering solution - EC 2000 - plant handling it perfectly **CBD Delight (reservoir still partially filled):** - 2L flowering solution + 700ml rainwater - Effective EC: ~1480 μS/cm - Strategy: Gradual EC reduction to resolve tip symptoms **Haifa SOP Strategy:** Not added yet - waiting for visible flower formation (white pistils). The stretch phase still requires adequate nitrogen for vertical growth. SOP addition planned for approximately 10-14 days from now when bud sites emerge. --- ## ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS **Temperature & Humidity:** - Average: 19.8°C (stable, ideal for transition) - RH: 64% (acceptable for early flower, will reduce later) - Dehumidifier: Still offline (cost management) - Plan: Activate when buds begin forming (target: 50-55% RH) **Lighting:** - Maintained 70% @ 50cm throughout Week 8 - Today: Switched timer to 12/12 cycle - Lights-off period begins tomorrow - Plants will experience first darkness tomorrow night --- ## KEY OBSERVATIONS & LEARNINGS **Water Consumption Patterns:** The role reversal in water uptake is fascinating. CBD Relax's higher consumption despite smaller size indicates: - Denser leaf canopy = higher transpiration surface area - More aggressive root colonization of reservoir - Higher metabolic rate (Indica efficiency) - Better EC tolerance allowing fuller nutrient uptake **EC Management Success:** The dilution approach for CBD Delight is working. By providing 2L nutrients + 700ml rainwater, I'm maintaining growth while preventing further accumulation. New growth should emerge clean over the next 7-10 days. **Timeline Precision:** Original plan called for 12/12 switch on January 26 (Day 63). Executing today at Day 61 is only 2 days early - essentially perfect planning over 8+ weeks! Both plants hit their target heights within 2cm of projection. --- ## STRETCH PROJECTIONS **Expected Final Heights:** - CBD Delight: 48cm × 2.0-2.5x = 96-120cm - CBD Relax: 45cm × 1.5-2.0x = 68-90cm - Maximum ceiling: 135cm (40cm light distance + 95cm max plant height) - Safety margin: Excellent on both plants **Stretch Timeline:** - Week 1-2 (Flower): Aggressive vertical growth - Week 3 (Flower): Stretch completion, bud site formation - Week 4+ (Flower): Bud development phase --- ## NEXT STEPS - FLOWERING WEEK 1 **Monitoring Focus:** - Daily height measurements during stretch - Watch for first pistils (white hairs) - Adjust light height if needed (maintain 40-50cm) - Reservoir consumption rates (expect increase) **Nutrient Strategy:** - Continue current formula for 7-10 days - Add Haifa SOP when pistils visible - Monitor CBD Delight tip symptoms (should improve) - Increase to Week 3-4 formula when stretch completes **Environmental:** - Activate dehumidifier when buds form - Reduce RH to 50-55% target - Maintain 19-20°C temperature - Ensure excellent air circulation --- ## RATING & CONFIDENCE **Week 8 Performance:** 9.5/10 - ✅ Perfect height targets achieved - ✅ 12/12 switch executed on schedule - ✅ Flowering nutrients introduced smoothly - ✅ Plant health excellent (minor EC issue managed) - ✅ Timeline precision: 8 weeks, 2-day variance from plan - ✅ Professional agricultural fertilizer system validated **Overall Grow Status:** - Vegetative phase: COMPLETED ✅ - Structure: Perfect dual-cola formation on both plants - Root systems: Fully established, aggressive uptake - Flowering readiness: Optimal - Timeline confidence: VERY HIGH **On Track For:** - Stretch completion: ~February 7-10 (Flower Week 2-3) - Harvest: March 23, 2026 (Day 121) - unchanged - Target yield: 180-220g total (both plants) The vegetative phase is complete. Both plants are structurally perfect, healthy (minor tip issue resolving), and ready for the flowering stretch. Paradise Seeds genetics have performed exactly as expected - predictable, stable, and resilient. Now the real magic begins! 🌸 --- *Report Period: January 18-24, 2026 (Days 55-61)* *Next Update: Flowering Week 1 completion* *Harvest Target: March 23, 2026* **Growing Philosophy:** Right plant, right time, right nutrients. CBDelight exhibited classic sativa-dominant characteristics throughout the grow cycle, stretching to 84cm final height after topping with elongated internodal spacing and slender branch architecture. The strain demonstrated exceptional metabolic activity and nutrient uptake, requiring careful attention to micronutrient availability - evidenced by bronze leaf striping that responded well to Humiron Mix WSP supplementation in week 6. Trichome production exceeded expectations, with dense resin coverage developing early in flower and maintaining impressive accumulation through harvest. The thin branch structure proved inadequate for supporting the heavy, dense buds produced under optimal indoor conditions, necessitating support infrastructure. This characteristic will require early intervention for outdoor cultivation where wind stress compounds the structural challenge. Despite higher maintenance requirements, CBDelight delivered premium-quality flower with spectacular visual appeal and potent therapeutic potential. The strain's sensitivity and structural limitations are offset by superior resin production, making it ideal for experienced growers willing to provide attentive management. Recommended for indoor cultivation with adequate support systems or outdoor grows with early staking protocols.

Happy Harvest Day!

CBDRelax presented a robust, indica-dominant phenotype reaching 74cm after topping at harvest with compact internodal spacing and sturdy branch development. The strain demonstrated remarkable resilience throughout cultivation, maintaining stable growth without significant interventions beyond standard feeding and defoliation protocols. Branch architecture proved self-supporting even under dense bud development, requiring no additional structural reinforcement - a significant advantage for both novice growers and outdoor applications where maintenance access may be limited. Trichome development proceeded consistently across all bud sites with excellent density, though slightly less pronounced than CBDelight's exceptional production. The strain showed superior stress tolerance and forgiveness to minor cultivation inconsistencies, making it an excellent candidate for less experienced growers or situations requiring reduced intervention. Water and nutrient uptake remained predictable throughout the cycle without the metabolic volatility observed in CBDelight. CBDRelax represents ideal genetics for reliable CBD production with minimal complications - the "set and forget" option that still delivers professional-grade results. Particularly well-suited for outdoor cultivation, multi-plant operations, or any scenario where robustness and consistency outweigh the pursuit of absolute maximum resin density. An excellent foundation strain for therapeutic CBD production.
