First ever grow. That means first ever of any kind of strain or setup, I have only smoked cannabis a few times and found it works for me so I want to provide my own medicine and not rely on anyone else. I've never even grown a plant before. I looked at many guides and tutorials as well as asked some folks questions on here and felt ready to get going. This will be in many ways a micro grow, I have a severely limited space to do this in so it is what it is. I know this isn't the ideal situation but I have to work with what I have until I can change my living space conditions. Anyway I put the nutes in the water at .25ml to start and PH'd the water down to 5.8. I wasn't sure how much space should be between the basket cup and the bubbly water or if it should be in the water a bit, so I left about an inch or so. One last thing. I couldn't find a hydro diary with this strain that used the three nutes I'm using, so this is a first on here ;)

Germinated seed and put it in the rockwool hole. I covered the hole with a little rockwool to be safe. Is this ok? I was not sure how much space should be between the basket cup and the water. I've read leave a few inches, but seen photos of the basket in water a little?

Always leave a gap between the bottom of the netpot / rockwool / cube so that the roots do not drown , if they are submerged in the solution you risk getting root rot ,and oxygen deficiency, personally I use root it cubes touching the bottom of my netpot filled with pebbles , try and make the distance to the solution as short as possible to let the roots get there quickly , the faster the roots get into solution the quicker the plant grows . I found that rock wool cubes stayed too wet for me , that’s why I use root it cubes , they are more like sponges , if you put the seed in the rock wool and cover it you run the risk that the plant cannot get out , I personally germinate in the cube then transfer into the pot . Germination needs three things , darkness’s , warmth and moisture . Good luck 👍

Changed reservoir water for new week. Upped the nutes a little. Everything seems to be on schedule growth wise from what I've seen so far, I hope. Day 11- Changed to 20/4 light cycle

Day 19- She is constantly growing. I don't know if she is deficient in something but some of her leaves have minor light blotches on them. If anyone knows please help. I know the plant is still young. ---------------------------------------- Day 16- Beatrice perked up over night maybe what I did was ok and she just needed time also. Will provide pics later. ----------------------------------------- She is very droopy after the water and nute change. I also noticed little drop of water on the tips of the leaves. Replaced some of the water with fresh ph'd water to offset whatever I might have done for now. I put light back on in hopes of her perking up a bit. ----------------------------------------- Changed bucket water out for new week. Increased the gro and micro to 1ml, hope it wasn't too much. Kept bloom the same for now. Her 5 leaf set is getting bigger and the 7 leaf set is trying to come out still. Multiple aux bud sites I think are developing. Considering to top her soon but I'm afraid and not sure .

Day 28 Decided to remove some of the dead ugly leaves from bottom, figured they weren't really helping much anyway. I also topped some of the newest growth. Hope all this wasn't too much for her today. I'm supposing this happened at the 5th or 6th node. Day 27 Got a tds meter today. Only getting a reading of 60ppm though which is very low as far as I know for week 4 I guess I was not putting enough in. I will calibrate this device to make sure it is working right. I also got a larger air stone. Unfortunately I ripped off a few small roots trying to get the stone situated, I hope she won't be too mad. I will be more careful next time. My theory for the leaves is since the ppm was so low the new aux buds were " sucking the life" so to speak, from the main leaves giving them deficiencies. However I am probably wrong since the newly formed leaves don't come out looking too bad....at first anyway. Day 22 Changed bucket water and upped the nutes for the 4th week. Leaves still have some visual issues and I hope the new change will help. I'm expecting a growth spurt to happen soon and pistiles.

Day 34 Seems my meter is off by 430ppm or so. That, or the solution is wrong lol. I will post later with updates. ___________________________________________ Kept the nutrient water the same for new week 5 until I can make sure my tds meter is calibrated. She seems ok so far, not sure if the topping I did will slow her down a little at first.

Day 42 Didn't really see pistil at end of 6th week. I accept she has been stunted a bit all things considered, but she's still growing. Day 41 Topped bucket off again. Ppm drops down seems she's eating and drinking well. Day 40 Topped her off with ph nute water. The ppm of the bucket continues to go down from her eating I think. She also seems to be drinking more as well which I hope will cause her to grow more. Day 38 Decided to defoliate a little bit, she looks a bit slimmer, newer leaves look better than older ones and are getting more light. _________________________________________ Changed bucket water for new week 6. Upped the nutes a bit to get to around 800ppm (though the meter is off, but the reading was a bit above 400ppm). So far she is still showing signs on her leaves, but she is also still growing daily. Really hoping for a growth spurt and pistiles soon.

Day 48 Decided to switch to flowering week 7 :) Day 47 Made new batch of nute water with 4ml florabloom, 3ml floramicro, and 1ml floragro. Added some of that to current bucket. I believe I am seeing pistils in various areas. Will update later with photos and the such. Day 44 Topped off bucket water and did some light defoliation. Still unsure about pistils but I think I saw one. Not sure when or if I will up the nutes until I see pistil. ---------------------- Didn't change anything yet for new week 7. Will probably do it tomorrow. Not really sure if her pistils are out yet so keeping it on veg week.

Day 54 Decided not to take any more photos until the next new week. I will then probably take the photos on the first day of each new week. Did some defoliation to get more light to certain bud sites. Topped off res water since she has been drinking more and more lately. I need move light as high up as I can to free up few inches. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Added that new nute water to bucket putting PH to 6. Did some light defoliation of some gimpy leaves. Noticing new pistils daily in new areas and she seems to be getting taller. I will update with pics and the such later. Switched back to 18/6 light cycle for now as she is flowering.

Day 69 Replaced most of res water with fresh ph water. Did some light defoliation yesterday. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- I've been observing that the PPM has not been changing over night like it used to, or almost at all. I assume the plant doesn't want any more nutes, maybe just fresh water but I don't know. I might use my question box for this one.

Smoked a bit of the bud over past few days. So far they give a medium to powerful high. Effects are very medicated, sleepy, relaxed. So far so good, only issue is the smell and taste are not that good. -_-_-_-_ Buds have been in jar curing for 3 days. They still smell very green and grassy fresh. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Hung buds to dry a bit and will find a good container to cure them in for a little. Buds smell a bit earthy, cat pee, and vegetative. To the touch the smell is very potent and terpiny.

Anyone have some good drying and curing hints/tricks/hacks? Grow tent can range from 35% to 70% humidity depending on how I have it set up so atm it is around 60%.

Hey the key to drying and curing is to dry the buds as slow as you possibly can without molding them. The optimal drying temp is 70f with 50% humidity. If you dry them too fast it will affect your flavor and smoothness of the buds. And too slow there is a risk if mold. It is very important for the final product to keep the temp and humidity perfect. Once the buds are dried enough that the stems snap when you bend them is it time to jar them up to cure. You dont want to pack the buds tight in the jar. Only fill them up about 3/4 of the way so there is some air flow around the buds. It is best to add a boveda 62% humidity pack to each jar to keep the humidity right when curing. The first week of curing I open the jar a couple times a day to burp it and take the buds out to air for a few minutes. Inspect them to make sure there is no mold. After the first week just open them once every few days to burp the jars and continute to cure as long as you want. The longer you cure the better the bud. Hope this helps.
the end.
