JoeCNote Successful germination, actually started first seeds in June, popped 4 beans but during early growth I lost two seeds to over watering so I ended up with on 2 plants to fill 3 pots. Ended up trying 4 more beans in the same method, a couple months down the road, only lost 1 to over watering this time. So now I have 5 pheno's, 3 plants for now and 2 I'm saving clones of for later. Never had a problem with this kind of thing before so it speaks to the sensitivity of this strain. (More evidence later) start of actual seeds on this first run was August 18th.

JoeCNote Could have done early veg better, fixed my over watering issues and ended up being very light on nutrients because I worried with sensitive they seemed to be to the soil I put them in. Best guess is the soil was too strong for seedlings.

JoeCNote Fell behind on the plants between work, life, and harvesting my last crop so I transplanted twice in that time. These pics were taken right after transplanting into main autopots because I found them root bound and struggling with deficiencies, that looked like a lack of calcium and phosphorus.

JoeCNote Week 7 of veg, all signs of deficiencies disappeared, but now the plants are nearly over grown, so after this pic I took a bunch clones and flipped right into flower. Also experimenting with top dressing and and adding some synganics in the mix because I won some cutting edge nutrients in a raffle, I thought I'd try them out a bit.

JoeCNote 1 full week into flower, already seeing stretch slow down and bud sites develop. Stretch was extremely fast and unexpected, plants nearly doubled in size in about a week. I think based on the early deficiencies I saw mean adding the roots elemental and fox farm cavern culture along with craft blend as a top dress mixture should make for an explosion of growth in flower. Maybe have been too much to do in my small 2x4 tent, but only time will tell.

JoeCNote They ended up getting too tall and if I had let the cola's develop where they were, they would've outgrown my tent so instead I did some super cropping and bent over most of the top branches on pheno's 3 & 4 (left & right).

JoeCNote The pink and purple colors have really begun to set in, and despite not have long much bud smell yet, the stem smells have become really pronounced. Each one has stem tub smells that are completely different from the next!

JoeCNote Pics taken at the beginning of week 5, with the clear keeper emerging at the Paradise Pine #5. The #3 has a clear pink lemonade smell to it, which is super enticing but the #5 seems to have the purple colors, even growth pattern, and a deeply pine forward smell, followed by a strong, lasting candy smell lingering on your nose after the pine fades. This one has me the most interested by far! However the huge bummer this week was I found mites in the grow. Unclear if they are spider mites or russets because I've been spraying with Quillaja and defoliating any worse off leaves all week. Pain in the ass but it seems that the Q knocked them back very good for now. 4 sprays in a week and I'll probly spray once again with a low low dose in another week. Hopefully those doesn't effect the smokability but you do what you gotta do. I think I got mites from taking in clones from another grow, and not giving them a proper isolation period. I have noticed as well that the #3 on he left side of the tent has next to no mites or mite damage, while the #4 has minor mite damage, and the #5 has had the majority of the mites and mite damage from all my inspections. So my thinking is I will probably feed the #3 & #5 one more time with a light feed to give them a final week of stacking, and I will plan to flush the #4 with straight water, and enzymes, to hopefully finish it out faster and harvest it first.

JoeCNote Caught Spider Mites somehow and decided to chop the #4 Pheno with the pink pistils early before the mites got any worse. Wanted to avoid spraying any more in flower since after the first two spray with lost coast plant wash they kept coming back. Decided to cut my losses and kill the #4 early at Day 40 of flower so they stopped spreading from that plant to the others. Since I wasn't that interested in the smells the Pheno was giving off I ended up killing off the back ups of this Pheno aswell. Of course I had to keep spraying the others as they did spread. But the other 2 pheno's were obviously more resistant to the mites as well. So that helped put them higher on my list of the keeper possibilities.

JoeCNote For being Harvested at day 40, with minimal smells on the stem, it does have a distinct sour fruit punch nose and taste after a dry cycle in the cannatrol, and shortened cure cycle. Best in a joint, solid smoke despite the early chop and spider mites. Little harsh, but still surprisingly good.
