This is my first outdoor, first coco, and first autoflower grow! So the opportunity for mistakes is very high!
This also my first NEWB grow, so thank you Female Seeds for the prize pack! I appologize now for said mistakes😜 but luckily you sent me plenty of seeds to keep trying!
About the grow:
Coco coir/perlite in 3Gal spring pots
Advanced nutrients Sensi Coco program
Will go outside when it warms a bit more in a month or so, Will sit in south facing window till then
seeds popped 100% on 4/26 in rockwool
potted on 5/2
Despite the south facing window, the house roof still blocks much of the sun so they both started to stretch a bit, and one of them looks like it tried to grow an extra leaf on the second tier.
They did get to spend one day outside this week and they loved that, but the breeze was rough on them so i tied them up with some stalks from my last laughing buddha grow!
Thanks for stopping by!
Everything is going really well exept they have spent too much time in the window and have stretched looking for that light, But the days keep getting warmer, and the few days they have spent outside, they were REALLY happy to see that sun!
The weather has warmed this week and they spend most of the time outside now. Because of that i started to get some spots of the leaves that i believe to be caused by underwatering. 30 days in and they are showing flowers and filling in nicely. I will start bloom nutes next week. Thanks for looking
Week 5 and we are seeing flowers start! Very exciting! I have switched over to bloom nutes and increased my watering frequency.
They are loving all the sunlight and starting to smell very nice!
Very cool to see so much flowering so early! The strain seems extremely strong and recovered from my underwatering very well.
They are getting lots of sun these days and they clearly love it!
The girls were very happy this week! Getting fed twice daily with warm sunny days has resulted in many gorgeous buds! Very compact and stout plant that is growing extremely strong!
These girls are loving the warm summer sun! They are still quite smallish but the buds are growing nicely and getting very frosty!. The smaller of the 2 has one lower node that wants to be the main cola, so it looks like it has a big old donkey dick growing!
Well during this week my pond got thrashed by a pretty good hail storm. Luckily no damage other than some plants, and the girls were safely put away😅
I have not done any defoliation, because i am new to pretty much everything with this grow and i really just want to get to know the strain. She has kept fairly small, probably because i left them is shit light for the first several weeks. Despite that, she is growing some beautiful frosty nugs!!
The flower development has been just beautiful! So frosty, she already looks like she will pack some serious punch! Really looking forward to trying this strain, particularly since i havent had an indica for a while. We are getting close now!! Thanks for looking!
Its Flush Week!
My girls are small (my fault) but the flowers have developed so nicely!! I am very excited to try this strain, and i have also put some more of seeds in to pop for second outdoor grow this summer😃
Since this is all new to me. I want to see how they grow so i have not defoliated at all, but i think they would have benefited from a little bit.
Thanks for looking! we will see you soon with a review!😎
All of the buds on both plants were very frosty, just covered in trichomes. Not super aromatic growing or drying, but always had a wonderful pine scent whenever you took a sniff. They dried very dense and hard and they grind easily. The smell of the ground is just wonderful with a strong mint mixed in with that earthy pine background. It takes me back to 90's and camping on May long, smoking menthol cigarettes....
😋 Taste is very pleasant, i get a bit of sweetness, and the draw is smooth without any harshness. It vapes OK, but seems to get fewer draws and maybe less flavor than other strains.
The high is really nice, in a word i would say... happy. I would probably put this one in the hybrid category. I like it best after supper or anytime you just want to hit the recliner and relax or relieve some stress. The body stone is very relaxing, tho i wouldn't use this as my sleepytime smoke. The effect is uplifting and it can very quickly strip away any stress the day has brought and leaves you... well, happy😊
I started this grow indoors, early, in order to get a head start while it was still too cold outside. I put them in a south facing window, but apparently the overhang did not allow any direct sunlight. That REALLY stunted critical early growth. Certainly a mistake i will learn from😏
It kept my girls small and the yield shows that. But they finished extremely well and they buds were dense and frosty from the top to bottom of the plants. I did let them get too dry on the first really warm day, which surprisingly did not stress them much, but i also learned that you really can't over water with coco😁 Being my first experience with coco, i definitely learned a lot, and i am motivated to improve. So i am very excited to get another outoor grow in this summer.
I had a very similar experience of My Cloned Hulkberry
her mother had very Similar looking flowering buds to yours. like big pasta spirals amd also long internodes with thicker green leaves and a disappointing yield. I had overfed her due to dwcr res being for whole crop but was too heavy for her. Her clone looks nothing like the mother plant at all now she is fed better. Reminded me of that harvest with the look of the buds
@Cultus,I had to hide mine away for a while in bad lighting while house maintenance was carried out , the went on holiday for 2 weeks too. am amazed she made it here. determined to get a good hulkberry yield now.
@Ganjagrandaddy, Thats's interesting for sure. My biggest mistake was letting them sit in the front window for the first few weeks. South facing window but with the overhang they never got any direct sunlight. And being autos, that critical veg time is just lost. But they still look and smell quite tasty, very much anticipating a sample😎
@Cultus, i have been avoiding autos through lack of experience with them. did a pinapple express and totally screwed it trying to grow it alongside my photo crop. assumed they were crap so never thought of doing it again till fastbuds offered me a sponsored grow
Had to jump at the chance to try so now changed lights in preparation for 20/4 and have been trying to gen up on how best to grow them. Feed cycle times alone would jave jad me screwing up if i hadnt got busy reading up. lol. will be quadlining them for sure.
looking forward to your updates cultus. you have a lot of great results so more than happy to learn some stuff along the way too. good luck mate , show us that bud porn. lol
@Ganjagrandaddy, Glad to have you along, i have a few weeks to update here😏 Autos have really become huge, and you have to admit the very short grow cycles are very attractive. I have a couple more auto strains on the way for future grows👍
Wow! Your girls look amazing! Super frosty and in record time! You need to share what you think (as I might give those a try later haha). Amazing job man! :D
@Ganjagrandaddy, I really appreciate that, bud. These autos have been fun. They are small but definitely mighty! Actually they are ready to by cut this week, i'm a week behind in the diary. The smell doesn't fill the yard at all but a sniff up close is just lovely, Like a pine forest.
Just enough time for another grow cycle up here, so i have 2 more of these seeds popping along with a couple Fast buds seeds i won on here too👍 so bring on the autos!
What lovely looking garden you got yourself there! I can only envy you in these warm summer Days ☺️ Good Luck with your grow i'm looking forward to see your harvest in the future 🤟
