Selkot . YEAR 1 -------- Everything began in August 2018, with a 40×40×120 tent, one CFL Wings 125 (50 real watts), and 3-liter pots. 😅 The very first seeds I ever grew were Cheesy Auto from Philosophers Seeds. Two plants which, in 11 weeks, gave me… 11 grams. After that, I doubled down: same conditions, but with 2 Sweet Skunk from RQS. Also 11 weeks. Also 11 grams. In the second half of the year, I clearly understood that space and light are essential; after two harvests like that, no wonder… Still, I stayed modest: a 60×60×180 tent and a 65w Chinese pink LED. I tried 4 Cheesy Auto from Philosophers Seeds again; result: 34 grams from the 4 plants in 13 weeks. A small, very small improvement😁 (see photo) End of the first year: a (very) mixed result. 56 grams from 8 plants. That’s 7g/plant. YEAR 2 -------- The second year was marked by switching to 7-liter pots, and buying a second identical Chinese LED, for a total of 130w, plus a 120×60×180 tent. 14 plants grown to completion: Quick One (see photo), Royal Dwarf, Northern Lights and Caramel from RQS and Zamnesia. Result: 225g for the year. 16g/plant. Better, but still far from good. 😉 YEAR 3 -------- The third year, I tried to maximize yields with the equipment I had. I still moved up to 11-liter pots and grew 19 plants: Kalini Asia, Royal Gorilla, White Widow, AK420, Diesel, Amnesia, Couskush and Bubble Kush from RQS and Zamnesia. Result: 361 grams for the year, 19g/plant; progress, but still not enough. At the end of the year, I bought 2 MarsHydro TS600. My first “real” lights… The fourth year marks my arrival on GrowDiaries… 😊

Selkot . YEAR 4 -------- The 4th year starts with 1 Fat Banana from RQS and 1 Amnesia from Zamnesia, which together produced 84g; 42g per plant, it felt like a revelation at the time 😊 After that, I figured I’d pack the tent with 3 Hulkberry from RQS and 3 Monster Dwarf from Zamnesia, which gave me 165g from the 6 plants; a small ratio, but it was the first time I harvested more than 100g… Mid-season. That’s when I signed up on GrowDiaries 😎 In January, I started 3 OG Kush from RQS, my first photoperiods, followed in March by 4 Royal Cookies, also from RQS. (see photos) It's also my first award on GD: 5th place in the DOTW 😊 Total for this 4th year: 390g from 15 plants, which is 26g per plant. In 4 years, I barely passed the one-kilo mark. The fifth year would be the year of change 😉

Selkot . YEAR 5 - 1st quarter ---------------------- The 5th season begins with the same setup. The novelty of this season is the substrate: from this point on, all my indoor grows will be done in coco coir. Five Northern Lights plants, 2 from RQS indoor and 3 from Zamnesia outdoor, take up the first quarter. With 5 plants, they will produce 212 g. For the first time, one of them alone exceeds 100 g. Second award on GD: 9th place in the DOTW 🙏

Selkot . YEAR 5 - 2nd quarter ----------------------- The 5th season continues with 3 Gorilla Punch from FB and 3 Original XXL from GB in the same tent. A disappointment: with 6 plants, they yield 179 g, less than the previous 5. But in only 10 weeks. Green Brand did better than Fastbuds for a first try. During these first two quarters, I won MOTM, 2nd and 3rd place 😉

Selkot . YEAR 5 - 3rd quarter ----------------------- In the 3rd quarter, I start 3 Strawberry Banana from FB and 1 Royal AK from RQS. But I allow myself a small upgrade: I replace the two TS 600 (100 W) with two TS 1000 (150 W). The four plants give me 247 g, my best harvest so far, With an average of 62 g per plant. I also made a bit of bubble hash 😏

Selkot . YEAR 5 - 4th quarter ----------------------- To finish the season, I start 3 Mandarine XL and 3 Strawberry Cake from Ganja Farmer. 194 g from the 6 plants. A humble end to the season. This 5th year ends with a total of 841 g from 21 plants, an average of 40 g per plant : twice as much as the previous year. Over these 5 years, 77 plants grown from 24 different strains, for a total of 1,873 g. And that’s when I take a 2-year break for a job in Africa, hoping to come back strong soon 👋

Selkot . YEAR 6 - 1st quarter ---------------------- Back from Africa in August 2025, I’m getting back to work 😊 This time, no hesitation about the setup : I’m going big: a 120×120×180 tent with my two TS1000s, plus two FCevo1500s, for a total of 600 W over 1.44 m². That’s finally a decent setup for home use 👌 I’m starting this new season with some Fastbuds: 5 White Widows in 15-liter pots and 1 Banana Purple Punch in an 8-liter pot. The 5 White Widows produced 558 g : a new record by far! 👍 Shows that nothing matters more than light . I was quite active on the forum, happy as I was to reconnect with the community after 2 years; so a little reward: 3rd place in the GOTW for a first participation 🙏 . One week before Christmas, the result for the Banana Purple Punch comes in: 102 g dry, an unexpected yield for an auto in an 8-liter pot! By combining the six plants that shared the same space and the same conditions, this gives: 660g dry yield 110g/plant 458g/m² 1.1g/W . I took 85 g from my White Widow and 25 g from my Banana Purple Punch, frozen along with about fifty grams of leaves. The result for this third bubble hash run: 12.85 g, i.e. 8% of the material used. The first time I reached 3.0%, the second time 7.1% ; with this 8.0% I’m making progress, but I haven’t reached the 10% goal yet... I’ll keep working on it 😉

Selkot . YEAR 6 - 2nd quarter ------------------------ A historic second quarter of 2026, at my own small scale 😊 I started a run of 5 Triple G from RQS that I received as a gift. I changed the nutrient program by combining Advanced Nutrients, Plagron, and for the first time Aptus. I stuck with 15L fabric pots using coco fiber, clay pebbles, and perlite. The result exceeded all my expectations! With 5 plants, I got 832g dry! 😮 The biggest one alone reached 241g in 18 weeks. 😍 It took years to finally see this, it’s emotional. It just goes to show that indoor autos really have insane potential. 👍 Over the past 3 months, I was also lucky enough to win a Mars Hydro photo contest. Since I could choose, I went with the connected 6-inch exhaust fan. I’ll be installing it soon and testing out the app’s features.

Selkot . YEAR 6 – 3rd quarter ----------------------- After my little success last time, I had only two options: either prove it wasn't a fluke... or completely mess it up. And yet I took a few risks, choosing an even lighter and more inert substrate than pure coco by mixing in bark. For the record: I wouldn't recommend it. 😉 From now on, it's coco fiber only, forever. This run was West Coast OG from FB, in the same tent (1.44 m³), under the same lights (600W total MH). After 13 weeks, the final harvest came to 241g of fully dried and cured buds from two plants, with one of them producing 160g on its own. I'm really happy with the result. This genetic delivers intense aromas, with cheesy, lemony, and creamy notes depending on which jar I open—and every one of them smells amazing! Another great surprise this quarter: after winning a high-capacity smart exhaust fan earlier this year in the MH Photo Contest, I also finished 6th in the March DOTM! The prizes included some FB goodies and, best of all, enough seeds for an entire year. For this last quarter, I've started a run with 4× Apple Strudel, which I've just received. Hope to see you all in my new grow journal! https://growdiaries.com/diaries/318821-grow-journal-by-selkot
