stutch Welcome back. On December 9, the seed went into the water glass, and on December 10, 2025, it went straight into Coco.
Changes from the last run:
- 11L Gronest fabric pot instead of 15L plastic. I'm hoping for the advantages of a fabric pot, but at the same time I wanted to use relatively little substrate because it doesn't make any difference in “hydroponic” cultivation anyway. It's not official, but hey, they fit! Lower volume, advantages of fabric pots, easier to handle overall, gained a few cm in height
- 20/4 instead of 24/0 light
- This time, I will strictly stick to the Terra Aquatica fertilization plan, no fertilizer calculator experiments that mercilessly burn my plants (see Sour Jealousy Grow in weeks 5-6)
- In weeks 10-11, I will switch to FinalPart. This time, I really want to stick to the specified 15 days + 2 days of FlashClean to follow the manufacturer's recommendations to the letter. Let's see how it goes.

stutch The plant sprouted quickly from the seed. Adjust the watering every day to achieve a drainage rate of 10-20%, with moderate success so far. But that doesn't matter, it's just coco. Otherwise, nothing exciting to report. I'll continue to update daily with pictures.
17.12. Day 4: Same problem as with the last grow, EC from drain too low.
Watering values: EC 1.7, pH 6.1, approx. 550 ml.
Drain: EC 1.1, pH 6.0, approx. 450 ml.
During the last grow (Sour Jealousy), I fed with a regular Terra Aquatica DryGrow dose of 2.4 EC on day 7. I will start doing this with the papaya on day 4. 2.4 EC on day 4 sounds a bit wild, but it will most probably be fine. Updates to follow.

stutch 12/24: Merry Christmas! Nothing special to report. The plant is growing very quickly and healthily, and all the environmental parameters are correct. The EC value of the drain is now slightly above the watering level (2.6 drain to 2.5 watering) and thus within the optimal range. The growth spurt will start soon.
12/26: Autopot system connected, pH 5.6. EC from the drain during manual watering was consistently 0.4-0.5 above the irrigation water, so the fertilizer amount was adjusted to 1g/L Drypart Grow. New irrigation EC is 2.1-2.2.

stutch January 6: Update after vacation. I was away for four days, and the pH value in the Autopot tank drifted nicely and steadily from 5.6 to 5.9. In the meantime, I've been thinking a lot about fertilizer: thanks to my pH reducer (Canna pH- Bloom Pro), I already have more than enough phosphorus in the water, and Dual Part Grow Hard Water does not contain any phosphorus. This means I can give the plants plenty of nitrogen without completely oversalting the nutrient solution. The current EC with 3 ml DPG per liter and Epsom salts etc. is 2.0, which should be just fine for them.
I'm considering putting up a net, but for now I'm tucking the upper leaves under the small side shoots and trying to make it work that way.

stutch The plant looks very good overall, and I am looking forward to the harvest. I have reduced the N slightly (200 = 175-180 ppm) and increased the K slightly (200 = 225 ppm), and now I am basically just waiting for the harvest. The plant consumes 15 liters of nutrient solution within about 5-6 days, which is quite impressive considering how much evaporates.
February 6: Mixed the nutrient solution incorrectly and flakes formed. Disposed of everything and adjusted the nutrient solution slightly (2 ml TA Grow/Bloom per liter).

Ich bin richtig zufrieden mit der Papaya Cookies Auto. Hat sich nicht angestellt, war vielleicht gegen der Ende der Blüte etwas Nährstoffempfindich. Schöne Größe (sagt meine Frau auch immer) und geschätzt mein bisher bestes Ergebnis was den Ertrag angeht.

I am really happy with Papaya Cookies Auto. It didn't cause any problems, although it was perhaps a little sensitive to nutrients towards the end of flowering. Nice size (that's what she said) and probably my best result so far in terms of yield.

stutch The plant grew well and was more or less ready in 69 (nice) days (I had to harvest it on that day because I was going on vacation). No problems, I had the nutrients well under control during this grow, the fabric pots were excellent and are over-rooted (see pictures). Now I just have to wait and see how it tastes and works. I think I'll be able to update again in a week or two.

@kokotvelky, The pump goes to an air stone that sits at the bottom of the pot in the water and creates small air bubbles for the root area. There are Airdomes from Autopot, but I didn't find the supplied hoses for ventilation to be very good. So I connected an aquarium air stone instead.
