TruTraTri Welcome to Dexters Growbroratory. For all broscience and science grower. πŸ˜‚ Seeds from Greenway Solutions from grower of the month. So somehow earned and not sponsored. No obligations on either side. Honest report as always. Contact with the breeder was very nice, answers all questions and in short(est) time.πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ πŸ‘ŒHonest, so no weird claims, provoides valuable tips. Looking forward for the results. As always DIY LEDs + DIY recycled soil. Keep them outside at the beginning to spare some energy and they have to stay small so everthing fits in my small box later on. Had some failed germination. So went extreme and doubled the starters 😜 Zkittlez something again ... as always one of my favorites. Weaker one is going into a small pot 3,6l (Dexter), healthier in 20l (Dee Dee)πŸ˜‚ β€œScience is not a game, Dee Dee!”

TruTraTri Box is still full. Unplanned transplantation in mid sized. They look sad because I forgot them outside. Temperature ~-5Β°C + less than 12h light. 😭 Which would not be bad, if they weren't so tall already (at least for my box), so I somehow have to flip as soon as possible and recover as good as possible. β€œOmelette du fromage.” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri After death was avoided, they recovered. Just as they were feeling fine, I cut their heads off, because I need a bushier structure because of the limited height. More than a bit harsh, but no other option. β€œDee Dee ruined everything.” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri Well, I have no experience with the breeder or strains, so if there is a stretcher I got no time to recover or train - switch. Took the topping like a champ. Reacted immediately to the switch. To even out the canopy I tried to bend them down a bit. Consequently, Dee Dee got ripped off one of her arms completely. Just a few fibers holding it up (s. red tie). β€œSuccess! …Mostly.” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri Well, the good news, Dee Dee didn't mind the amputation and healed up nicely. Bad news is that I am a bit afraid of more stress (training mistakes) and stretch is much much much stronger then her roomates'. Moved down the lights a bit, but she does not care. 😎 β€œDee Dee, you’re contaminating the results!” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri Did not move the lamp, to inhibit the stretch. Did not help much. So she get's a bit too much light + heat + wind at the tops, but if I adjust the other plants would suffer. So no one gets the right treatment πŸ‘½ As height adjustment did not work and the ripped off branch was fine, I supercropped all tops and bend them down. For humidity control I took off some leaves (90% with lights out). β€œCommencing experiment.” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri Well, stretch was definitely too strong for my height. The top of the plant is a bit stressed because of light intensity, heat, low humidity. As example to "visualize" the stress, the poor thing has to suffer... Regarding just the temperature (light on) it's a difference of 5 Β°C from highest to lowest bud site. I suppose a living beeing can be pissed about something like that .. πŸ˜‚ β€œWHY DO YOU DO THIS?!” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri Continued defoliation for humidity control. Symptoms at the tops get a bit worse but not critical. Downwards it looks fine. Normally, I'd say coloring is a bit light because of the LEDs. In this case it's true. I think my soil wasn't enough to handle the stretch and build up of this genetic. Some additional nutrition would've been necessary or in my setting an even a larger pot (which is not suitable in my setup πŸ˜…). β€œYOU EEDIOT!” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri Totally maxed out the height. It's growing beetween the LED stripes now. I think with a board or low priced LED product she would be smokeable already.. just a bit too crispy πŸ˜‚ Dexter gets a light coloring. Beside their different environmental and deficiencie symptoms, they also show signs of senescence. I like that more than many of the "evergreens". As I can't handle such a huge stretch without much effort, the leftover seeds are reserved for an outdoor run. 😊 Think with enough space this is a big yielder. β€œHey Dexter, can you please pass the atomizer?” β€” Dee Dee

TruTraTri Sadly, no Christmas miracle occured and my tent did not gain height. πŸ‘» DeeDee is very dry and stressed at the upper parts. Crispy. The LED is working with 225W, box is small so there has to be some circulation (lowest altitude). So DeeDee got her head in a constant breeze, driest spot in the box and hottest. Temperature at the top ~29-30Β°C lowest ~24Β°C. One head went directly into one LED, half crisp now. I think probability of mold is higher if I'd cut it off. Lower half is a bit light. Dexter is also a bit stressed, but rewards with some color. Rolled leaves, also some crisp. Combined with mixed and multiple stress signals there is natural senescence. As they are both suffering, I'll cut with a low count of amber, right now all is milky. I am not a fan of staggered harvest, usually I'll skip on additional effort πŸ˜‚. The huge stretch and heat+light+wind burn off DeeDee and not ripe lower part asking for it. We'll see. β€œYou are a foolish scientist.” β€” Mandark

TruTraTri Poor things. Both are suffering, but I can not relieve them from their pain, not ready. Still, no mold both are still packing up (a bit) buds get dense/hard. Regarding the bad start and worse circumstances.... Zkittlez forever 😎. I hope I can chop Dexter mid next week and Dee Dee by end of next week. Despite her looks Dee Dee probably needs some extra time. I want to chop it's breaking my heart see her like that πŸ˜… edit: Yeah you can see Dee Dee is feeling so good.. "praying" leaves πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ just the color is irritating.. must be a good sign.😜 Hope I never write or talk about nice praying leaves againπŸ‘»πŸ˜ˆ edit edit: Dexter trichomes β€œThis is an emergency of scientific proportions!” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri Now I can see why many people just show some buds. Dexter looks HORRIFIC! Will release him today. Don't think there will be mold, but it's just getting too crispy. Be aware of the full plant. I could cry looking at Dexter. Because of the height and light color Dee Dee seems "better" but I suppose Dee Dee will look even worse πŸ˜… Think I should do a staggered harvest with Dee Dee, but I am too lazy for that. I am so afraid of pictures of the whole plantsπŸ˜‚ β€œDexter!” β€” Mom

TruTraTri Enough wind, light, heat burn and everything else 😊 12/12 to harvest 65d. Some parts seem a bit mold effected on the pictures, but nothing to worry. Dexter ~50g wet , Dee Dee ~470g wet (more or less whole plant) Both suffered very hard, so I'm fine they made it through. Dee Dee's headbuds are quiet nice for her hard life. Everything is crispy and gluey. On the positive side I hope I don't loose too much weight because they are so crispy πŸ˜‚ Harvest week after they are processed. β€œThe results are… acceptable.” β€” Dexter

TruTraTri ~50g wet Dexter ~450g wet Dee Dee. Regarding their stressfull life, I am more than satisfied with the harvest. There were some gnats, heat burn, wind burn, light burn, and so on. Probably some lack of N. Intensive smell, very nice head buds. Pressed 10g dry popcorn buds (low temperature). ~1g creamy, nice smelling rosin. ~100g big fat buds Sadly, the stretch was way too much for my limited height so everything went wrong; but as all Zkittlez stuff until now it made it through. First time a headbud was literally burnt by the light. πŸ˜… Overall, a real nice Zkittlez with much potential.😊 β€œI suppose this counts as a success.” β€” Mandark
