Miketama Non vedevo l'ora di coltivare questo strain da quando l'ho assaggiata dalla casa farmaceutica avaay.
Spero di ritrovare l'odore di arancia e l'effetto rilassante in questa versione auto
Miketama Looking good, time to tuck those fan leaves under the branches!๐.....
Well, never mind... This strain has such powerful stems, branches, and leaves that it makes leaf tucking difficult. I have to use low stress training on the lower branches to open up the canopy.
The name of the strain derives from the gorilla-like potency of its effect, but I must say that it is also a very apt name for the structure of the plant. ๐

Miketama Another week ahead. Iโm still tucking away the lower leaves that cause shading. Iโve noticed that a few leaf tips have just started to yellow/burn slightly, so Iโve decided to pause fertilization. Iโm not worried at all, if anything, itโs a sign that the plant is absorbing a lot of nutrients.. ๐ค
I also spray the leaves with an Alg-a-Mic solution; to do this, I lower the light intensity to the minimum and reduce the RH using a dehumidifier. Once the leaves are dry I bring everything back to 32 DLI.
If you havenโt signed up on the RQS website yet, feel free to use my link to get โฌ5 off. In photo number 4 thereโs also a discount code for three free seeds. I wonโt be using it and it expires in a week, so feel free to use it. ๐๐

Miketama The Gorilla seems to have recovered from the excess nitrogen.
I kept a close eye on pH and EC and only supplied phosphorus and potassium as nutrients. She appears to have appreciated it ๐

Miketama Despite some early nutrient burn, the girl is rebounding hard. New foliage is lush and green again. Sheโs so pumped that sheโs showing a rare leaf-bud mutation, throwing calyxes right at the petiole base! Can't wait to see how these swell up in the coming weeks.
Also noticed a slight apical mutation on one of the lower branches, the top appears to be splitting into two (double apex). Early on I removed the opposite-side branch, so that might have triggered this response. Sheโs definitely keeping things interesting this run!
Stay high! ๐

Miketama Leaves arenโt looking the prettiest, but the only real difference compared to the other plants was adding half a BioTabs tablet.
Apparently even that was a bit too much, even though itโs still under the official feeding chart (2 tabs per 10L).
Also no Startrex was used, so soil life probably wasnโt as active.
Despite that, the buds are swelling nicely and Iโm pretty sure theyโll end up looking much better than the leaves. ๐

Off topic growers ๐
Today High Times published an article about the **โNo-Vegโ method**, written by Jorge Cervantes together with researchers from Innexo.
The idea is simple: skip the vegetative phase and flip plants straight to 12/12 right after rooting. The stretch during early flower builds the structure, so plants stay smaller but you can run more cycles per year.
According to their trials it could mean up to 6 harvests per year, less electricity and less labor.
Do you think this could make photoperiod runs almost as fast as autosโฆ or even replace them? ๐ค
RoyalGorilla turned out to be highly productive with a surprisingly compact structure. The aroma went far beyond what I expected: not just citrus, but also a strong diesel note combined with sweet, candy-like undertones. Iโm sure the flavor will be even richer and more complex.
Now I understand why the photoperiod version has won awardsโthis autoflower is no less impressive. Easily one of the most resinous and sticky plants Iโve ever had the pleasure of growing.
Thanks to RQS, and thanks to everyone who stopped by!
Smoke report:
Smell & Flavor
This is where she genuinely shines. The jar opens and you get an immediate wave of citrus, dark chocolate and raw diesel complex, rich, nothing one-dimensional about it. The flavor carries through on the exhale with that same citrus-chocolate backbone and a fuel finish that lingers. Easily one of the most interesting aromatic profiles Iโve grown in a while.
Effect
Potent and fast. This is not a strain you casually underestimate it takes you from zero to a hundred in one toke. Cerebral hit up front, then a deep physical weight settles in. Evening smoke for sure.
The One Downside
The throat hit is rough.. Worth being upfront about, but this is largely a genetic trait of the Glue lineage. The spicy, musky terpene profile driven by caryophyllene and myrcene naturally produces a heavier, more aggressive smoke compared to smoother profiles.
Overall
Exceptional genetics. The resin production, the smell and the flavor are all top tier. Just know going in that this strain hits hard in every sense.. including in the throat. Would grow again without hesitation.

Miketama This week I went for a staggered harvest to protect the buds that were starting to get damaged. The cycle ended on day 76, with trichomes at the perfect amber point and a yield of over 300g wet, despite a few mistakes along the way.
@Miketama, woah thatโs really impressive! What a difference between last week happy you have won these seeds brother ! Now everyone can you these genetics that will grow under de guidance of great grower ๐๐ฝ๐ช๐ฝ
Wow ๐ฎ๐ฑ this grow is looking beautiful! Youโre doing an awesome job from start to finish ๐๐ฅ Much love! Feel free to check out my YouTube page for grow videos and support ๐๐๐น
Regarding : Do you think this could make photoperiod runs almost as fast as autosโฆ or even replace them? ๐ค, Interesting , but the smaller the plant the smaller your yield. And in my eyes you can better care 13 to 15 weeks about a strain resulting in a high yield( bigger the yield the les you have to grow so you save electricity and nutri then do several new runs and have work on the trimming and the things around it , However its my opinion. If i had the change to grow bigger then i would choose to take x amount of the same strain in one tent for a bigger yield.
Back to your diary : Love her trichomes ๐ Really nice work what you ave done
@Miketama, ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ thatโs a good one ๐คฃ this is my 2nd year on soil and I can tell you that after all those years I did hydro Iโm feeling more comfortable growing on soil then on hydro . The thing is : everyone can grow on soil then, hydro and cocos. But searching for the limit of a strain is more simple on soil as on soil you will always have a buffer while on hydro a mistake is directly punished.I got the same results on hydro as I do on soil however going on trips or long vacations as we do makes growing on soil more easier. I will do hydro this summer one more time just for fun โฆ but I will stick to soil .
You can see that she recovering , I told you in private and I will tell you here , it doesnt matter how much strains we do the only thing matters is how we do โฆ. And you are doing great ๐๐
@Mia_BIOTABS, Yes, it doesnโt look great, but itโs almost at the end and despite everything I think I can harvest some nice resinous buds :) If you want, you can explain what you mean by imbalancesโฆ I read that itโs a strain prone to nutrient burn..
@Miketama, imbalance means just the components did not work together, to much light or not enough water or to much nutrients, or a combination
but in the end we are not running a beauty contest dont worry, as you say shes close to the end.
i mean you are running a good number of diaries- and its not easy- so chin up-
@Mia_BIOTABS, Looks aren't everything, but it's always nice to hear what others think.
There's another strain hidden away in my tent... Maybe I've gone a bit overboard.๐
@GERGrowDesigns, Thanks for the support growmie!
Buds are stacking and starting to frost up nicely.
Canโt wait to see how she finishes! โ๏ธ
And good luck to you too with your grow! ๐๐ฑ
