AlphaCut_Gen This diary is a raw log of my RDWC grow in the Hydra Unlimited system starting on day 11 from clone. No hype, no marketing — just photos, numbers, and results. The goal is to document how these plants respond to feed, training, and environment as the run progresses. If something works, it’ll show. If it doesn’t, it’ll be in the diary. Appreciate anyone taking the time to follow along.

AlphaCut_Gen Minor pH drift caused a Ca/Mg deficiency. Corrected with a full water change and adjustments—plants recovered fast. Running 1.8 EC, pH locked at 6.0. Light intensity increased another 25% and VPD at 0.9–1.1. Put the trellis net in—plan is to fully fill most the net within two weeks before flower

AlphaCut_Gen Light is at 70% (511 watts) about 2 feet above canopy. Did a water change and ramped EC to 2.9. Majority of purpling is now gone. Ladies are growing very quickly with no fuss. Environment is dialed in tight and I’m pretty happy so far with how it’s going.

AlphaCut_Gen It’s currently day 4 of flower. I’m a bit behind on updating this as I’ve been working longer hours at work. It’s been 2 weeks since I put the trellis on. Nothing crazy happening, just steady tuckin. Once I let them stretch up, I’ll throw the second layer of trellis on and do a defol and lollipop and go from there. Appreciate yall checkin me out

AlphaCut_Gen I’ve stopped tucking over the past week to avoid snapping shoots during stretch. At this point I’m letting the plants do what they do best and focusing on environment and nutrition rather than manipulation. Once the second trellis net goes in, I’ll start assigning individual squares, spreading the canopy a bit more, and following up with a defoliation to improve airflow and light penetration. We’re currently 9 days into flower and the plants are healthy, vigorous, and drinking well. I couldn’t ask for a better run so far. I expect to see bud sites forming across all tops by the next update as stretch begins to slow and flower development kicks in.

AlphaCut_Gen Stretch kicked in nicely over the last week. Installed the second level of trellis to help support and guide. Also did a 50% water change. I couldn’t be happier with this grow so far.. constantly praying, no issues. This thing has been dialed from the jump and I’m excited for the next couple weeks as buds begin to gain size and give me a little sneak peak into what they’ll become.

AlphaCut_Gen Not much to write about this week. It might not look like it, but I did a heavy defoliation and removed a lot of lower growth and leaves that would’ve turned into larf. I’ll clean a little more out as things progress. Stretch has calmed down and resin production has started. Fan leaves and sugar leaves are already getting lightly coated. Now we’re getting into the fun part where the plant starts putting on weight. I decided not to use any supplemental lighting this run since it’s my first time running this strain. I’m hoping to use this pheno in an upcoming breeding project, assuming no weak traits show up. So far though, this plant has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without any issues, so we’ll see how the next couple weeks go

AlphaCut_Gen Halfway through and the frost is starting to coat everything. Removing a few fan leaves and small growth not worth the trouble. For now, it’s mostly hurry up and wait. Another week or two and this will be a completely different room

AlphaCut_Gen Coming into week 6, frost has covered pretty much everything. Terps are starting to come out more. What started as more of a pinesol smell has now become more gassy/old school funk. Pungent. Smells so bad, but you can’t stop smelling it. I upgraded my ventilation to a 10” ac infinity carbon filter and inline fan. That thing is an absolute unit and does work. Buds are starting to swell now, look like they’re going to start stacking nicely now. Plants are drinking probably 30 gallons a week.. runnin a 50% water change every Saturday.

AlphaCut_Gen Going into week 7 the terps are starting to really come out. Some burnt rubber/funk up front with some sweetness on the backend. Sandy/gritty trichomes. I think she’d make a great washer. Slowly bringing the EC down this week and adding I’ll be adding Athena fade in later this week and slowly start the flush process as she finishes up

AlphaCut_Gen Over the course of the last couple weeks, I’ve brought the EC down and am now introducing fade a little heavier. There are still a few white pistils that have yet to turn in, but majority of trichomes are cloudy now. 80/20 split. No real amber yet. Hopefully next weekend we’ll be there an ready to chop. I don’t think I’ll hit what I wanted to harvest wise, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t smoke good. The trichomes coverage is nasty on this cultivar. Lives up to its name for sure. I will be running this and one other cultivar next grow. Resetting the mother room, so we’ll see what we can do with the black powdered mom next run. She’s a big one for sure at about 6’ and I’ve cut her back multiple times. So very vigorous and heavy feeder. Anyway, we’re almost there and can’t come fast enough. Have some new equipment to set up, so I’m geeked

AlphaCut_Gen Final stretch on the hydro run. I’ve been running Fade for about a week now and slowly backing off the Bloom A/B. Plants are still drinking hard which tells me they’re not quite finished yet, even though most of the trichomes are already cloudy. Starting to see some nice fade with a few purple leaves showing up. Temps have been steady around 78°F so it looks like a natural finish rather than anything stress related, no cold temp swings. Buds are getting greasy. Resin production is heavy across the canopy and the sugar leaves are coated. Terps are still a little muted and just smell like funk and 💩 right now lol Hopefully we’ll start to see some amber in the next week

AlphaCut_Gen Finally in the last week of flower 🤞 fade set in nice (Athena nutes ftw) everything milky right now, but the first ambers have started coming through on some of the tops. EC at .7 and just keepin fresh ro in the system. Pics do no justice as there’s a whole lot of purple and whole lot of frost, but I’m ready to cut and hang these things and reset the room

Looking good so far. I think they have a lightstress/too high temps and/or you gave too much nutrients, because the leafs tips look upwards. It means there in no transpiration, she cant cool it. It could also be your ventilator is focused on the top of branches, so that has a similar effect.
