This time last week I put the Mutant into Darkness and there it stayed for 4 Days 😦😯😵
Pretty much f*ck all happened other than some fairly pale coloured new growth.
So it went back outside to the makeshift greenhouse where the average daily max & min temps are 14 and 4 degrees Celcius. 😨😨
Had a closeup look with the magnifier today and I think I have seen the start of some Pollen sacks aka a male 😏
I have been doing some thinking on this and I think that if it's indeed a male and not a hermie I will let it flower and I will collect some pollen for a future project. So far it has show a couple of desireable traits 1 being the smell during veg is quite strong 2. the short internodal spacing and 3 it's apparent ability to withstand cold low light environments
These traits are enough reason for me to want to experiment further at a later Date.
If its a hermie It's going in the trash
Happy Grows 👌
Good idea
Just wondering how do you plan to quarantine the pollin as you grow outdoors?
Im guessing Australia is a big place so it shouldn’t be too difficult to put distance between them :)
@DILLIGAF, thanks for illuminating a whole branch of learning I did not even consider existed.
Will be delving in to pollen and best practices when handling to learn more.
Cheers big ears 👍🏽
@Techpuffin, good question the only females i have are in my tent and the males outside however once it starts poppin pollen I need to make sure I don't inadvertantly carry it inside to the girls on my clothes or hands So I plan to only go near the male once Ive already checked on the girls for that day and will take xtra precautions when it;s shedding Gonna sieve it and freeze it for later on
Well you may have found a keeper genetics wise let's hope for the best so as to continue on a new generation with awesome characteristics you are looking for awesome looking plant..
