PlantsMcBulge 3 days in to week 1. We're doing Terp Farmz - Black Zushi, with Anesia Seeds; Strawberry Pop Rocks and White Runtz. Big fan of the sunset sherbet lineage. I'm doing another Black Zushi at the moment that's in week 5 of flower and the aroma when you rub the leaves is very purple grape like and tutti frutti or fruit salad smelling, it had some interesting mutations to it that caused some of the leaves to appear as though they had some kind of mosaic virus, the Zushi 2 in this setup is beginning with similar odd deformities that i'll put in the next post. Not great photos, only uploading this as found I'd taken photos because of the condensation on the cup. I'd started them in paper towels and water, then into Root riots that were soaked in sensi coco a+b at 1ml/L and katana roots at 5ml/L, left in a small propagator with heated bottom, then were planted in to the coco soaked with the nutrient list posted above, minus the orca and king crab, i used great white to powder the holes where i placed the root riots once they were showing roots.

PlantsMcBulge End of week 2. Had soaked them before going away for the xmas breaks, 2 of them were drier across the top because of the fans I'd had on. They've all had a nice drenching since, an clean some of that green film off the top haha. The anesia seeds seem a bit slower to kick off compared to the zushi 1 terp farmz anyway, then there's the zushi 2 that's already doing weird stuff. Just as I was setting them back after watering I thought I'll top Zushi 1 as it's already around 3-4 inches compared to the others sitting at 1-2.

PlantsMcBulge zushi 1 the bronzing on the leaves i think is from the roots growing out the bottom of the pot then drying out or sitting in runoff solution, hoping it should stabilise in a week or 2 when it gets larger or more roots within the coco to offset the ones growing out the bottom zushi 2 just muting out cause of the genetics or something, will see how it goes, if it doesn't start growing out some decent leaf surface i might cut it, but we'll see yet. I dont use orca/king crab with biosys at the same time, normally, i just swap them out depending how i feel, whether i can be bothered opening 2 bottles, or one sachet. i do similar with the amino treatment and vitalize, can i be bothered getting the cap off amino, or shall i just stick with vitalize. Height list hasn't changed much, just been listing the tallest which was the black zushi 1 i topped last week, only probably shot up another half inch if that cause i probably measured it with the top new growth pointing up last time. thinking of taking a clone of the runtz or zushi later.... not sure maybe just start a new one as not a fan of the leaf shapes on these, i thought the white runtz at first might have the leaf shape i like, the chunky wider ones, but the gaps between the fingers starting to grow, will see.

I recommend using X-Seed. It's worked well for me; all my seeds germinated in a couple of days. Forget about the deformed one and remove it; it's better to plant a clone of another variety. My advice is to transplant them into Jiffy pellets once the seedlings emerge, and then into 0.7L pots or directly into pots using only Canna Terra or Top Crop Complete Mix. You'll have nutrients for a few weeks; just use decanted water with low EC (no additives). Then transplant into coco coir. This avoids over-saturating the soil, allows the seedlings to grow naturally in a good substrate, and saves you time. I also like to give them foliar feedings when they are seedlings, and once they are large enough and feeding, I use 0.2-0.4 ml of water.

@D4D3DHOMMIES, thanks for dropping in sir. Appreciate the info on x-seed, not come across this before so will keep in mind next time im at the store 😎. Of the 3 black zushi i've popped so far, 2 (including this one) had odd deformities in veg. The first one i did had a leaf structure like cabbage in veg, then looked like some fasciation in flower so figured i may as well give this one a shot just to see if it does anything funky later. Excuse the big red circles

@PlantsMcBulge, Sometimes it's normal. But if it doesn't grow, like what happened with a ZWISHER I had, I removed it. It's not worth wasting your time; it's better to germinate another seed or plant a cutting. It's faster and saves you time. There are also some videos on YouTube from Strain Show that demonstrate different germination methods and which ones are the fastest. X-Seed is a germination booster, so to speak. My seeds germinated in 2-3 days, usually 4-5 at most. I've actually used it to germinate 20 seeds or more, and it worked perfectly. I don't know if sometimes these deformed leaves are due to that or just genetics. But my plants are beautiful and strong, and sometimes one that isn't the best in appearance can be the best for phenohunting. My advice is to buy a Mars Hydro, AC, or Spiderfarmer grow tent; they only cost €135-€150 and come with lights, regulators, and a controller (and you can control everything from your phone). Just for making your clones and maintaining them! And if this happens to you, you can plant your clone. And Clonex is very, very good! It makes life much easier.
