SlempZen Seeds were planted on the evening of the 29-12-25, Tropicana Cookies and Gorilla-Z first poked their heads through the soil on the morning of 2-1-26, later that day, the White Widow also showed up!
My Equipment is all second Hand. A Buddy of mine does Homegrow. I helped him move to a new apartement, he got himself new gear and i got most of his old stuff as compensation for helping him move. Basically, just people helping each other out. Community FTW!11
I added some "automation" using basic, relativley cheap Smart Home Gear. 2 smart Power Outlets and a Sensor for Temperature & Humidity using the TP-Link Tapo system.
The Ventilation Sytem is overkill for the size of my Box. I set my System to blow out the air when it hits 70% Humidity inside the Tent and stops ventilating by 60% Humidity or below. The light is set to 20/4 h cycle. Temperature is my Room Temp. + whatever the electronics inside the Tent produce (so far usually 21°C-24°C)
I'm missing a Carbon Filter and a Fan for circulating the Air inside the Box, will ad them later this month (or at least try a small tabletop Fan i already have for summer Time)
This is my first grow in a Box, so far i did 2 Outdoor grows that went decently well

SlempZen One week has gone by, and all 3 Ladies grew well!
I did put way too much water in the soil before planting the seeds, so i only watered the younglings a little and just around the plants.
I also learned from a Podcast by german content creator Vince & Weed that oscilating a Fan directly on the plants isn't the best decision, so i stopperd doing that with my small table fan. Instead, the Fan blows just on the walls of the Tent when it is running.
Climate inside the Tent stays pretty consistent so far between 20-22°C and 65-69% Humidity, so the vntilation system only starts 2-3 Times a Day. Of course, i open the Tent in the Morning and the afternoon to check on the Ladies.
So far i'm happy with this grow, but wondering if my light is strong enough for the 3 plants

SlempZen This week was fun! Really nice growth, like i've seen in other Diaries, Videos, Discord, etc.
I switched some equipment, started to introduce some mildish nutrients, learned about the Plants, and did some Defoliation-Training to finish the week.
Equipment change:
I upgraded my grow light. I'm now rocking the Mars-Hydro FC-1500-Evo. I knew that the weirdo Niello-Light i have is a bit underwhelming and that i should something better, especially in a 80x80 cm Tent and 3 plants....So, as someone that started growing again simply does, a lot of GrowVideos, the looking into lights, what LEDs and then stumbling across a good deal, i just got myself a new shiny thing. and YES......It is nice and bright and less noisy ('cause of the passiv vs. active cooling). Plants happy, me happy.
Nutrition.
Plants want food too.
I also inherited a bottle of growsartig "Alfa Boost all in one", some bio-fertilizer. It said, 5-10ml/l in veg. state. I water every other 3 days after feeling the moisture in the soil and weight of the Pots. 1-2.L on all 3 pots. I grow in Biobizz All-Mix, a pre-fertilized soil. I added 10ml of nutrition to yesterdays watering.
Plants.
Good growth. The GorillaZ is the fasttest growing, the White Widow is behind by almost a full pair of leaves, Papaya Cookies sits inbetween. They all had to bend a little too the center of the tent. that was caused by the potatoe light by niello nad its size of course.Well, we fixed that now.
GorillaZ developed some lighter spots on some of her leafes. Nothing to worry about too much, she is the biggest, fastest of the 3 plants. Nutrition might help, i think.
Defoliation Training.
On my 2nd Outdoor grow, i already have tried topping and LST. After watching a lot of Basementganja 's grows on Youtube, i decided i want to try Defoliation-Training. Basically cropping the leaves on the top node, helping the lower nodes to develop a more even and thicker canopy later. Just go watch Basementganja's Videos, he explains what he does really well and his Videos are very High Quality.
What's up Coming week?
-look out for signs of overnutrition after starting to add fertilizer
- Monitor the spots at GorillaZ
- might do some more Defoliation in a couple of days
-watch for amount of watering, might change a lot because of growth this week
-have fun watching them grow!

SlempZen I did a BooBoo. Rookie mistake, should not have added the nutrients in the soil, i missread the plants. In my experience with 2 Outdoor Balcony Grows, Outdoor felt more forgiving than indoor now. Things i tried with nutrition& training seemed to have less of an impact to the plant and a timely delayed effect. Thesis: Your screw-ups might not end as quick and as bad as in Indoor grows. Vise Versa, if you do well in your grow, the results are bigger, more impactful growing indoor.
I was impatient, and watching too many grow videos, seeing whole plants from birth to cured in 30 minutes.....NOT 10-14 WEEKS......
So i calmed down, started sitting infront of the open Tent with my morning coffee (enjoying the Lights for my self a bit, it's dark winter now). Just observing, trying to figure out what's up. I confirmed my thoughts by being lazy and asking AI about my plants. Uploaded a pic of each, described the setup ,and the thing came to basically the same results. Too wet, maybe too cold soil and the nutrition i added.
I did only water a tiny little amount. I'm trying to get the soil to dry evenly (therefore the tiny amount of watering) too avoid mold and give the roots more oxygen. I have the Ventilation running more constantly and at a lower Humidity threshhold. I put some wood boards i had laying around under my pots, so their bottoms get some ventilation too and the moisture can't be stuck between the bottom of the fabric pot and the foil on the ground.
Those Drainmaster stools i see commercials for everywhere, look more interesting day by day. But i think a would prefer a "grow" table that fits perfectly inside the tent (75x75cm), where i would just put some containers under to collect the overflow. And yes, i should look into testers for water and nutrition, but they are out of budget for the moment.
The Defoliation Training and the new Lamp (Mars Hydro FC1500-EVO) did work out very well. Thanks to the lamp, i could split the Pots farther away from each other, helping with air flow. The Light looks and feels more intense, i had to raise the lamp up to 40cm above the plants. As someone that enjoys normal daylight lamps during the season with low sunlight outdoors, i have to say this thing works well ,too. Haven't used my normal daylight lamp since i got the neew grow Lamp...
All Plants reacted well to the Defoliation Training. All 3 got more "bushy", lower node's branches kept at least keeping up with the main.
Plants are overall in a better state than a week before, developed well and the new foliage didn't show any signs of damages. So all in all, tthis week was a success. Learned a lot, observed a lot, and the plants are in a decent state.
And i got myself busy with something else that keeps me busy while beeing patient. I bought myself an electric Bass Guitar! Sorry, grow youtubers, your content is amazing and i thank you for what you do! But i have to cut my content consumption down to keep my cool, at least a little ;)

SlempZen Good week. All 3 Plants started to bulk up really nicely. I started watering more, did LST, did some changes inside the Tent.
But i first, i have something to confess. I seeked out for assistance and started using ChatGPT, mainly to confirm and check my own observations. I uploaded pictures of the plants and let AI confirm that i did indeed overfeed the plants in the beginning and made plans for watering and further training with it.
In the beginning, i did not plan to do tie down branches of the plants, but after my initial Defoliation Training the plants grew to dense in my opinion. So at the start of the week, i did some LST. I could not find my softt plant wire, so i used some pipe clenears as my tool, giving th plants the candy-cane look.
And it worked sooooooo well. Compare the pictures from the beginning of the week with the newest ones. The Ladies bulked up so much and started first signs of early flowering. Some pistils here and new plant shoots. LOTS OF NEW PLANT SHOOTS. If everything goes right, i think i will have a nice harvest. Even ChatGPT was weirdly overzealous in giving me compliments for my LST. I think i got the potential to fill out my tent quiet niecely.
Remember how i thought the White Widow was a little behind the others? She is now the biggest of the three and gives the most amount of smell (not a lot yet, of course)and has the thickest stem. The Tropicana Cookies is the most dense and creates new shoots and leaves everywhere, GorillaZ is similar, but more even.
I watered twice this week, each plant a liter of Tap water. At work i found a wood pallette top part that basically fit perfect for my 80x80 Tent. That is what you see under the pots in the Photos. Results in better Ventilation, Drain and helps with my floor beeing cold.
I removed the first big fan-leafes on all 3 plants. They all showed the most amount of damage from my early nutrition mistakes and were tucked under so much canopy already that they weren't getting light anyways. They also started to feel leathery...
Starting next watering, i will begin adding small amounts of nutrients. I have to look out for the density of the plants. I hope they start stretching soon, or i might have to defoliate. A week after LST, the ladies are already soo dense again, a lot of leaves are touching and blocking each other from direct light

And on this week's Chapter of "First Tent":
- Big Stretch in the early flowering stage
- not 1, but 2 Trips to the local grow Shop
- PANIC twice (not really, just for the Drama Effect), something weird appears on the plants!
- MORE LST
- Old school genetics MORE STRONG then newer Genetics
*pls continue reading in normal voice mode*
This week was interesting. It started with my table Fan dying, luckily i caught it just in time! I was having a nice session on my Bass Guitar using Headphones. After the Session, i thought to myself "hm...it is eery quiet in here...Oh poop! i can't her the Vent going inside the Tent!". The Vent wasn't moving anymore, but the motor was still running and stalling, creating that scary electric burn smell. I pulled the thing outside straight to the bin.
So i had to get a new Fan, and also wanted to get nutrition for Bloom, so off to the local Grow Shop next day! I got a Clip Fan and Bio Bizz Bio Bloom.
2 Days later, i noticed some spots on the mid-level fan-leaves....the rusty looking kind....and the usual discoloring seen when you miss CalMag.....
I didn't panic, but was annoyed to having to go to the store AGAIN. Welp, did what i had to do and also got the Bio Bizz Booster Top MAX after some research and talking to the guys in the store, because why not and before my mind tells me to get the Stuff anyways a week or 2 later.
The Shop experience was really cool, i enjoyed looking at all the products in real life instead of just in videos and on online-shops. Can recommend doing this
My Tapo Sensors are not working well anymore since i got the MarsHydro FC1500Evo. The Sensor is too weak to overcome the faraday-cage-situation in the tent and the electrical interference by the dimmed lamp. So i skipped the automation for ventilation and put it on a simple Timer.
I adjusted the LST a couple of times over the week. ChatGPT stills tells me i'm doing a fabolous job with it (weirdo...). I still use AI to confirm my own assumptions on what the plants try to tell me.
I had to adjust the height of the lights a couple times (PLANT GROW STRONG) and dailed up the power from 70% to 75%. I am watering every 3-4 days, 1.5l per plant (almost no run off) with 2ml/L Bloom, 1ml/L Top Max and 0.5ml/L CalMag (only the 2 pplants that need it). The newest pictures i took are directly after watering, therefore the hanging leafes.
White Widow (fornt left on group pics) - Oh boy, she stretches! She outgrows the 2 newer genetics beside her, her form is pretty straight. The last 2 days she stretched ~5cm per day now hitting the 50cm mark. She showed the highest deficiency in CalMag
GorillaZ (front right) - She is growing very dense, i have to be careful with leafes touching and condensation. She doesn't show signs of CalMag def., but she usually looks thirsty the most. Has the strongest side branches in relativity to her size.
Tropicana Cookies (back middle) - Definitly the Diva of the bunch. lacks Calmag (but only shows the discoloring, not the "rusty" spots). Grows more uneven and a little twisty, and like the GorillaZ, she is quiet dense
All 3 Ladies are happy nontheless, they took LST well and the deficiencies showing are slim, nothing to worry about, i caught it in time. I count this week still as VEG week, cause this dairy is about all 3 plants and only the White Widow i would count as early flowering stage.
What i am looking for coming week:
- Tropicana & Gorilla starting to stretch more
- How the plants react to the nutrition and for having to adjust
- Might have to defoliate Tropicana & Gorilla if the stretch isn't coming and the density of the canopy is getting thicker
- Monitor Humidity and adjust the Timers for ventilation
- Chill and play Bass Guitar
As People say on the Social Medias, like and follow if you enjoy my Diary and don't want to miss next weeks' Update

SlempZen This week was less work on the Plants directly and more about figuring out what is going on especially with water amounts, nutrition and the environment inside the tent as well as the room where the tent is living.
GorillaZ and Tropicana Cookies have almost caught up to the White Widow in height. The later did put more energy and development into her side branches, which catch up nicely with the main. I can see that there is no showing of CalMag deficiency on new growth, especially at the end of the week. I use Bio Fertilizer, it takes a couple of days to show results. I skipped boosters this week
I watered Sunday - Wednesday - Saturday (yesterday). Each time around 1.5L of water with 2ml/l BioBloom and 1ml/l Calmag both by BioBizz. This morning, the pots of all the plants already felt a lot lighter. I might have to water them again tomorrow, depending on the weight of the pots. That propably means the plants will start their next stage of flowering!
I did some Defoliation where the plants grew too thick in the lower and mid parts, but not too much. I think GorillaZ and Tropicana still have some stretching to do and i hope they will outgrow there "Thickness" in the mid-levels simply by each shoot growing longer and naturally space out to seek for light.
The GorillaZ looked troubled. I noticed that her Fan leafes were hanging low a lot, especially in the evening. My thoughts were that she has trouble with too much moisture inside her pot, not letting enough oxygen to the roots. Her pot feels the heaviest of the three most of the times also. But: She still grew nicely and almost caught up to the White Widow in height! So i was still looking into what was going on...I still watered her the same days as the other 2 plants, but a bit less. I adjusted the Fans in the Tent and left a crack open over night to help dry out her soil.
More research was made, strain reports watched and dairies read. A lot of GorillaZ plants seem to have hanging leafes at this stage of the grow! The stage with early flowering, stretching and evolving. So i can stop worrying as much :)
White Widow stopped showing signs of CalMag deficiency and put a lot of energy into her side branches
Tropicana Cookies is doing her thing, not much to do with her this week. She is growing along nicely now, not showing any deficiencies. She just had a chill week
What i am looking for coming week:
- Propably increase watering amount a little and will have to water more often (2-3 day intervall instead of every 3-4 days)
- Might add some BioBizz Top Maxx and/or some AlfaBoost while staying on 2mL/l Bloom and 1ml/l Calmag
- Do a bigger round of Defoliation if the big stretch seems to be over and plants are still to bulky in some areas

SlempZen This week started with some general Defoliation and not much else. The Ladies grew well, Tropicana Cookies and GorillaZ caught up and even grew taller than the White Widow.
After the Defoliation, the plants needed a day more before i hgad to water them, now we are back to every 2-3 Days, still 1.5L per plant. I reintroduced the Boosters with the Nutrition. I put my Light back to ~75%
White Widow (front right) - Sidebranches are growing to a nice, even height. Overall increased Flower growth. Again, she is ahead of the other two in development.
Tropicana Cookies (back middle) - is the bushiest of the bunch. Caught up in Height but lacks in branch hight compared to the others. The first branches from the bottom look really strong and developed a lot of nice Bud-Spots, are are still low. I hope she will stretch them more. The main Stem is starting to get some nice looking violet lines.
Gorilla Zkittlez - Well...still the hanging leafes thing (it got better after dialed the lights back to 75%), but whatever, she grows nicely and is the tallest of the three with good branch development and height.

SlempZen This week was all about letting the plants do their thing, growing and mainly building flowers. I ended the week with another round of Defoliation and removed the LST, because it isn't necessary anymore.
Watering stayed at every other day, 1.5L per plant, 2mg/l BioGrow 1ml/L Calmag 1ml/l Top Maxx 1ml/l AlfaBoost. I premix the stuff in a 5L bucket, then use a 1L Jar for watering and making sure the plants get their even amount.
The last defoliation was 12 Days ago. The Ladies got quiet bushy again, especially in the lower and mid parts. So i did do that again today while also watering them. I took out more leafes than last time, cleaned out the bottom parts and evening the mid parts where there was a lot of overlapping leafes and Bud-Sights. I thought i overdid it, but when i look at the plants from the top, i still see a dense canopy, so i think it will be alright. Let's see if the plants use up their water aaas fast as before, or if they need another day to use it up like last time.
We should be around (or at least close to) the half-way-point of flowering time according to FastBuds description (8-9 Weeks of flowering stage). I wanted to try different Strains, and also picked mine for needingaround the same time to finish. Depending on when to call the stage still in vegetation or already in flowering, this was week 3 or 4.
I'm not sure about Light-Height. on the highest plant (Tropicana cookies), my light is just around 10 above the top Cola, but everything below the Plant tops is in normal distance of arounf 30cm+. The plants still like the lights on 75% (150Watt Mars Hydro) and i'm afraid the PPFD will get too low for the Midparts to continue developing as well as they do. The plants' Tops don't seem to complain about the low distance so far, so I'll keep the lights this way for now.
White Widow (right front) - She is focusing and bulking up her flower Spots. I think she is basically done with growing in height, haven't seen much development there. She is around 65cm tall and you can really see the early defoliation and LST turning out well. She seems to be a wweek ahead in development to the others. For some reason, she also had the least amount of soil in her Pot - less space, less need to grow taller, everything started earlier, i think. Her Canopy is a really nice light Green color. Her Buds are growing nicely, i see sugarleafes and all the other good stuff wwe all like. :)
GorillaZ - She slowed down her stretch and started putting more energy on flowers, density and branch development. After thinning her put today, She is looking great. She definetly worried me the most in the past with her hanging leafes, but that was never the issue again for the past 12 days. she has the most Bud Spots of the three. She might indeed have the biggest potential yield of this grow, if they develop well.
Tropicana Cookies - She started getting purple buds :). Also, she is the tallest now. She was still stretching this week, buds are decent, but sizewise behind the other 2. A couple days ago i noticed that she started to get purple, just as advertised. But it's time for her to bulk up a bit, increase her mid level and grow her flowers! Her Top 2 Pairs of FanLeafes are always in a very steep angle, some research told me that this is a good sign because that tells that she is in high Photosynthesis Mode...
I think i might be able to hit my target of harvesting around Easter-Time (Early April, 5 weeks from now)

SlempZen Mid-Week i defoliated the plants. One plant showed some leight signs of over nutrition. Lights are up to 100% for 4 Days now, no complaints.
Watering is now at 5L, evenly spread over all 3 Ladies. I skipped the Nutritions on one watering because the White Widow showed burned tips on her leafes, Tropicana looked like she was doing the same soon.
I defoliated them this week from Top to Bottom, giving more space for the light to pass through. Almost no change in max plant height, (Tropicana around 72cm, White Widow 60cm, GorillaZ inbetween)
White Widow - She looks quiet mature already, might have to harvest her earlier than the others. I checked her Trichomes for the first time, to me she looks like 60% clear and 40% cloudy. 2 weeks maybe at this rate? What she doesn't do so far is the insane trichome coverage giving her the very white look that gave this strain her name. A lot of her Stigmas already turned dark ember/orange. She started to smell a little more, rich and earthy
GorillaZ - She will propably have the highest yield. A lot of very fluffy flowers with lots of Stigmas on them. Needs to bulk up those Buds! Had de defoliate her the most, she really grew thick. She is already quuiet sticky when you touch her and leaves a nice, sweet smell on your fingers.
Tropicana Cookies - She smells like Weed mixed with Mango! I like Mango! Her Buds darkened into purplish black, the top Canopy is a decent light green while the lower canopy is a real nice dark green (pictures aren't showing that as good). Her form is more compact and straight, Flowers are small and way more spread out than on the others. Either she will take the most time, or she will yield the least amount. We'll see.
Overall i already learned a lot in this grow. Next time, i want to be more aggressive with LST and will propably top the plants early. I also will have to be more brave and cut off those low low branches and Bud sights. Gear wise i would like to add PH and EC measuring Tools before changing anything else

SlempZen Chill Week. Did nothing but watering, once with just water and today with a lighter mix of nutritients than usual. I think the soil is slighty overfilled with nutritients. I also gave some additional time between waterings to get the soil a little dryer once more.
Plants are developing, but slower than before. The Buds grew a little. Tropicana Cookies and GorillaZ showed more of their distinctive looks, More dark purple on Tropicana Cookies, dense and fuzzy looking Buds on GorillaZ. Both need to get some "meat" on their Buds. The Whitte Widow still doesn't show her "white Out" look and starts having a look like Autumn. Her Pistils are deep dark orange and i checked Thrichomes again. I want to stop watering her when i am seeing the first ember trichomes while beeing happy with the cloudy to clean trichome ratio. I'll check again next weekend .

SlempZen We are in the last couple of weeks, so i basically stopped adding nutrition. I'm just adding some calmag, maybe it can help the plant get better access to the stuff still in the soil.
I removed some Leafes here and there.
For some reason, i got a good climate in tthe room now. Inside the Tent it rarely hits 60% humidity and sticks around 55-58%. I water every other day 5L evenly over all 3 plants
White Widow: thought she might've been ready for harvest this week. But, for science, i want to experiment with how an earlier harvest would end up like. So i took a sample off from her. She has that late atumn look, didN#t bulk much this week.
GorillaZ. Smell nice and sweet, is really sticky. On some spots, she grew really dense, there i have to manage averlap and cutting leaves more.
Tropicana Cookies: Starts smelling more Tropical than just Mango. Colouring is awwesome, form a little crooked.

SlempZen Not much happened over the last Week.
I water every other day around 1.7L per plant with added CalMag and a few droplets of nutrition. The Leafes on two of the plants started showing Calmag problems after 2 weeks of mainly tap water only.
Not a lot of development for White Widow and GorillaZ,while Tropicana Cookie's Buds swelled again nicely.
I check the Trichomes one or two times a week.
White Widow - She looks like she is ready to me, but still a lot of clear heads and barely any ember below the Top Bud. Her Leafs are starting to crisp up a lot and have that bright yellow autumn look. Buds feel dense, even in the lower parts
GorillaZ - Nice Plant. No clue how much longer she might take. Trichomes might be barely 50/50 cloudy/clear. Has a lot of Bud Spots and grew very dense. Buds look fluffy. Has a really sweet smell
Tropicana Cookies - Her Buds did swell up more. She is a beauty and smells like ripe Tropical Fruits with a mainly Mango Basis. Maybe 2 more weeks?
Overall i'm hoping to harvest all 3 Plants in the next 2 weeks, but i don't think it will happen (and then i might have to cut me some more "Testers" ;) ). Trichomes really take their Time.

SlempZen The almighty waiting game. Sorry for adding this chapter a week later , Eastern happened.
Plants look ready, Trichomes not. Especially the White Widow is in deeeeep autumn/fall. The "Testers" i took turned out ok so far.
Watering was the same, tap water with a little calmag. Did a little Canpoy work here and there.
As it is already the weekend after this entries time span, Plants are ready now.
