Prilyfe13 01/02/2026 Well, it's Friday and I don't normally start a run on a Friday, but I guess I just wanted to. Well, there's also the fact that I have my other Blue Dream run that I'm killing off in place of this little lady. If I screw this one up, I have 1 last seed. Let's see, the last run was a major fail. I did everything wrong. Lol. Not enough light, too much light, not enough water in the Germination System, water too warm in the bucket, piss smell coming from bucket because of heat. Plant not growing properly not at an autoflowers pace. She should be standing straight up at about 4 inches now with at least 2 nodes. She has her two nodes, but she is also sickly. So goodbye. So what's up for this run? Well, the goal is to obviously not fail. I'll have to increase the light intensity early on with this run. From what I learned in the last run, was that this strain likes a lot of light early on and then drops the need once she got in the tent. Or well the light was just too damned bright. I made this mistake the run before as well. Too much light. In my defense the seedling was looking for light no matter what setting I had it on. Next is the nutrient solution for the seedling stage. I've read that of course don't feed nutrients to a seedling just starting out unless it's for seed starting. So in this case, I'm going to give a very mild solution after a good sized taproot comes out of the cube. Then I'll add the nutrient solution to the bottom of the tray. The solution is diluted to 1/8th percent of the normal dose. And I only used 4 different nutes. Advanced Nutrients, B-52, Voodoo Juice, Tarantula and Piranha. That's according to a feeding schedule I found specifically for Advanced Nutrients. It's very old, so it shouldn't harm anything. Oh and I also without thinking added a small dose of silica blast in the beginning. Luckily I was following the 1/8th dose and left it at that. I was gonna add hydrogaurd, but I'm going to wait for a normal autoflower sized dose. Issue number 3. Temp control of the water. The heater in the tent tend s to constantly run in this stage. I don't know why, last run it didn't do that at all. It was a perfect setup. This run, hopefully it will be like that again. I really don't feel like messing with the environment the whole of the run. Issue number 4. Lighting in the tent. I had it way too high. But by the time I figured it out, the damage was done. She was practically laying down. So that's all for today. 01/03/2026 She sunk! That being said, it's time to prep the system. Tomorrow or later today, she will be in her rock wool cube. Along with her best friend Apple Strudel. It's gonna be an endeavor prepping everything. My last grow got brown algae all over everything. I know, it's not a huge deal because I'm deep cleaning everything in the first place, but it's just more stuff to use and multiple applications... Ok, I'm done cleaning and now waiting for everything to dry. Not sure how much peroxide I should have used, but I used quite a bit. Both in a spray bottle and just dumping some in with some water. Lol. Everything is clean and sanitized. And that's what matters. Lol Just wanna say it's been about 5 hours since she actually sunk and just before I put her in the cube, I saw her shell opened up with a beautiful tap root starting to form. She's moving quickly. 01/04/2026 So the tray was bone dry this morning. But that's ok. The cube wasn't. No sign of surface breakage, but that's perfectly fine. I wasn't expecting it overnight. It'll be a day or 2 before we see some green. So this run, I cut the drip ring down a bit. That way it sits lower in the medium. Now it's buried in about a half inch deeper. Last run I had a fungal infection from dampening off... I think. Anyway, I figured it out. It was because the drip ring was on top of the media and splashing on the stem. This run should be much better. No dampening off, no infections and no issues. At least that's the goal. Well that's it for today. 01/05/2026 Bone dry again. The cube stayed wet as expected. Not really 100% sure what to do about that. I know this system is setup to have a cell tray installed, but as I've said before, the cubes don't fit. If it was setup properly, I would have a nice dark place for the roots to go. As it stands I don't. Not sure what to do about that either. Lol That's basically it for the day. She hasn't even shown signs of surface breakage. So we wait another day. I'm not concerned. However, if I'm right, the last one I started took root and popped up in like 3 days. Today is day 3 and I sees nothin. It's ok though. I figure the longer she stays in the cube, the better off her tap root will be. I think. Update: I ended up adding the cell tray and filling it with water after all. There's no air flow and I really need to be careful not to bring any pathogens in. Anyway, the water is filled nearly to the top with the cubes kinda forced in about a quarter way so I can still get it out. We'll see how she does. Hopefully I'm right and she'll be fine. Or more than fine. Happy even. I still have the mild nutrient solution. What I think I'll do is wait for the first set of leaves to come out. Not the finger leaves, but the single finger serrated ones. Then I'll change out the water for the solution. Hopefully I'm right and it will make things work wonderfully. 01/06/2026 She's out and almost up. Hooray! Apparently this is all that saved from yesterday. So yah. 01/07/2026 She's standing up and slightly praying. Looks great! I have the light set to 50% to help stop the Apple Strudel from stretching too much. No clue if it's working. Her leaves have been droopy the whole time even though she is stretching quite a bit. Doubled in size over night. Definitely not enough light during the day. Other than that, I'm aiming for 75° and 70% for the environment. It's pretty on point at the moment. 01/08/2026 Today I added a very mild nutrient solution to the tray after swapping out the water. I had to add a little plain water, but that's fine. She is also not stretching like mad. A good size and I'm sure will grow to be super strong. The Apple Strudel is LEGGY. we are talking super model leggy. It's a bit alarming. So to prevent that, I bumped the lights up to 80%. It's Germination lights so not bright at all. Anyway, she didn't shoot up out of control. The environment is looking pretty good. 75° and 65%. It's been pretty stable there as well. For the last day or so. Well, she's only like 2 days old. Hahaha. I also started the grow system up. Water has nutrients. I'm just waiting to check the pH again after the system gets acclimated. Should t be all that long. Once the water is pHed properly, I'll turn the light and fans on. As well as the heater and humidifier. It shouldn't be too hard to keep the humidity and temp in check. The room temp is 71°, so 77° shouldn't be an issue. As well as 60% to 65%. I'm probably going to end up in the low 60s% to keep the heat up. I really want 77°. Oh, I forgot. Her tap root is finally out of the bottom of the cube. Just a tiny bit. She's definitely a solid day behind the Apple Strudel. The advantage I think this one has is that she's not super stretchy. She has a good reach though. I can tell she's gonna shoot up in the next day or so. Just not over stretch. Seriously, check out my Apple Strudel diary. Second one that happened to. Very light hungry strain. The problem is that she got way ahead of me. Like she would grow a half inch in a matter of hours. So by the time I noticed she was already that tall, the light setting I put up was just too low. So I decided to crank it to 80%. It seems to be great for Blue Dream. Her little leaves making a slight prayer. 01/09/2026 It's funny how things work. I'm not too sure, but I think the lighting is actually perfect for this little lady. She hasn't stretched at all, but has a nice little prayer going on. She's also leaning towards the center of the dome where the most light is. However, as I said, she hasn't stretched at all, so it leaves me a bit concerned with the intensity. From everything I'm seeing, this could in fact be perfection. Lol. Great tap root! I'm gonna give another couple days before I transplant her to the tent. Speaking of which, I have the tent running right now to get it all acclimated before the ladies come in to play. I won't be leaving it on. I just want to see how long it takes. It shouldn't be more than 20 minutes. But I'm having a problem from last run. That is the heater is Constantly running. Even with the temp higher than set, the heater continues to run. The problem with that is the exhaust can't keep up and it ends up ballooning the tent out. Quite the opposite of what I want. I'm going to mess with it until I can figure out how to get it to turn off when it needs to be off. Other than all that, she's looking good. Unfortunately I can't seem to get a good handle on the environment. It's in range, but the humidity is kinda low. I have my little "circulation" fan that is causing the low humidity, but if I take it off, it goes up to like 82° and 90% humidity. I feel like that's too much. Either way, I will have to mess with it. 01/10/2026 Well, today is the day. We are switching to veg today. I really wanted to wait for the true leaves to be a bit bigger, but this one is remarkably small. Very healthy though. I think I just nailed the lighting perfectly with her, unlike the Apple Strudel. Lol. That thing is like 4" tall. Hahahahahaha. This little lady has a beautiful prayer going on, but doesn't seem to want to stretch at all. BUT!, the roots are coming out all over the place. Perfect time to transplant in my opinion. I really don't like transplanting with all the roots showing and being exposed. It just seems like we're asking for transplant stress. Like what are we waiting for besides stressing the plant out? Anyway, I digress. We have really healthy roots and she's going in the tent today. Hahahahaha. See you on the other side. Prilyfe13 01/10/2026 I've added her to the tent today. Looking great! She's about 2" tall and is slightly praying. I expect great things from this little lady. Her roots are beautifully white. She has a couple poking out there and then there's the tap root. A little longer than I normally do it, but it should be fine. I have the light 24" away from the top and 20% out of 300 watts. The DLI is around 16. Just enough to help this little lady grow strong and fast. I've also added the nutrients in a small dose. The whole line of Advanced Nutrients. No issues that I can see. Looking good. The water looks good too. pH: 5.9 EC: 892 TDS: 446 ppm Temp: 67° 01/11/2026 First thing this morning I check and this little lady looks great! She's not stretching like I was afraid she would. So that's great! But she's not stretching at all, so not so great. However, once those roots hit the water, they'll be big enough to bring nutrients up and will then start the process of growing super fast. There really isn't anything to report at this stage. Just have to wait and see. I'm assuming the pH is off again, but I'll check that later today. I'm still waking up. Lol. I was wrong. My light was supposed to be at 10% power, not 20%. I realized that this morning. So it wasn't too bad. But I did notice a little leaf curl. Nothing big and definitely not enough time to stunt her. I have the light down to 10% and a DLI of 16 mol. Next is the water readings. pH: 6.5 EC: 935 TDS: 470 ppm Temp: 73° So I am theorizing that the higher readings, including the pH, are due to the higher temp. More salts dissolving. I added a couple frozen water bottles to cool it down. I'll probably need a couple more in an hour or 2. Man, I need a water cooler. I feel like the temp being too high is causing the pH to spike. That in turn causes the EC and the TDS to increase as well. I'm going to need to figure this out. pHing alone isn't going to fix it. Just frozen water bottles. The cause is the heater blowing around heat CONSTANTLY. it won't turn off. And I don't know what to do. The AI isn't really being cooperative. But I think it's because of the way I have the light set up. It's higher up keeping the temp down. But all the temp goes through it because it's a bar light. So nothing gets trapped and it's so low to the ground that all the heat goes right up into the top cavity of the tent. And the heater can't keep up with it I guess. Anyway, it's a pain and I don't know why it's suddenly happening. It hasn't been a problem since I got it, but now it is. No clue why. I'll figure it out. 01/12/2026 Not a lot going on today. She grew a little bit. The water is still getting warm and I'm using frozen water bottles to keep it cool. I didn't check the pH yet. I'm kinda being lazy today. I'll check it soon though. Can't be lazy all day. 01/13/2026 Not much going on today. I swapped out the ice bottles for fresh ones. The temp was up to around 74°. I forgot to check the temp before I added the new ice bottles. So my guess is 74°. But it's down to 67° now. No roots coming through the basket yet, but that'll take a few days I think. So I don't really expect much to happen in the next few days. Not until those roots hit the water. Then it should take off. At least that's the theory. One thing I'd like to note is the size. I know she didn't stretch in the Germination System because the light was already where it should have been in the first place. She also has some lettuce leaves. Not a big deal. I expect it was from the day of too much light. However, she is growing her first node nicely. The finger leaves are looking good. And that's what matters most. And the color, which is a beautiful green. Very healthy. Honestly, I would expect her to be a little taller by now, but that's ok. As healthy as she is, she won't disappoint. As long as I keep the lighting in check. Oh and the pH. And the nutrients. Let's see what else did I screw up on last run? 🤔 Water temp. Ok, so it would seem I screwed just about everything up last run. Hahahaha. Oh well. I still got some really good bud. Not the best, but with all the problems, I can't ask for better. I've learned from all my mistakes and hopefully I won't repeat them. Kinda like not having the light at the right intensity. Oops. But that's ok. It's all good now. In my defense, for some reason the light power level was at 2 when I started the system. So I thought that was what I set. It was not. Anyway, she looks good. The environment, on the other hand, is a nightmare. The heater won't turn off. The humidifier won't turn off. That thing throws out a lot of dust because I don't have distilled water to load it up with. In turn that dust is clogging up my Air Filter. I don't want to take it off, because then the dust will get stuck in the fan. And will get blown all over the apartment. Not really sure what to do. I could pull it out, try to get the dust out and then use a pre-filter. I have a bunch, so I could swap them out when need be. It's such a pain though. Because the filter it's hung as high as it can go in the very back of the tent. 01/14/2026 Nothing to report today. I had to add some ice bottles, but that's it. The pH was perfect. Lol. She's looking really good now however, I would have thought she'd be stretching a bit. The light is on point and the environment while a bit messy is in range. One thing that just happened is my heater just shut itself off. Probably because it overheated. Because it hasn't stopped running in days. And I have no idea why. 01/15/2026 Not bad today. I feel like she's kinda slow going at this point. I'm probably just being impatient, but this just seems... Slow. No clue why though. The light is fine, I don't see any signs of nutrient issues. PH is still in range. Maybe a little high at 6.35, but still in range. Her leaves are beautiful. First fan leaves are starting to spread their fingers. Still seems slow. I'm going to look this up in my previous runs. I want to see what they looked like in the second week. Other than that, the heater still won't turn off. It just runs and runs. As I said, last run was very different. The heater barely ran. And really only did during the day when it was chilly. It didn't need to run. It was very stable. Same thing with the humidifier. It only ran as needed. Even in the beginning, it was stable. Now, not so much. The humidity plummets the second the humidifier turns off and as I've been saying, the heater does the same thing. It can't turn off. I don't understand. 01/16/2026 Got some major problems today. The heater has been overheating all day long and the temp won't go over 70°. If I turn the humidifier off, the humidity plummets and only brings the heat up to 72°. It's SUPER dry right now and I have heat on in the grow space, but that's not working either. If I open the tent, the temp goes up but the humidity drops. Then when I close the tent, the humidity plummets the temp and the heater won't stay on long enough to heat up the space. I think I need to turn the heater off for an hour or so, but the temp will stay super low. What to do? So I was thinking the probe is messed up. I have the heater off in the tent, the light on level 1, the humidity set to 61% and the temp set to 75°. It's 67° in the tentand 63% humidity. Something is wrong. The outside temp is 71° I don't understand. Is the light not being warm enough causing the issue? There's a few options to choose from. Bad probe, light too dim, humidity won't turn off. On a good note, I'm increasing the light intensity tomorrow to 21 mol. Level 2 on the light. Maybe that'll help with the heat. Who knows. I had to remove the air filter today. The dust from the constantly running humidifier clogged it up. So now I'm trying to figure out how to unclog it. I might have to change out the charcoal. I don't want to. It still has time left. At least I thought I did.

Prilyfe13 01/17/2026 No changes to nutrients today. However, from last week to this week, the EC and TDS have increased. I'm guessing the nutrients from the hydroton are leeching in to the bucket. Probably a good thing. That way I don't need to make any adjustments right now. No roots today. Oh well. Not too sure how she's doing. She has the right amount of nodes, but she isn't really growing. Still 2" tall. I know she's still working those roots, but still I should at least see a root. Just 1. But I see nothing. I increased the light intensity to level 2. See readings below. So far she seems to be happy with it. It's been a couple hours and I'm not seeing any signs of stress. Still very green and pretty sturdy. If I'm guessing right, I don't think this little lady is going to get very big. I can just tell. But we'll have to see now. I hope I'm wrong. This is one of my absolute favorites and my first time growing it. I'd love to see a nice plant with long colas thick with trichomes. But we'll see. Weekly Readings: Water Readings: pH: 6.3 EC: 1012 TDS: 500 Temp: 70° Lighting: DLI: 21.6 PPFD: 318 Environment: Temp: 75° RH: 62% VPD: 1.07 kPa CO2: 754 01/18/2026 We have a root! Just 1 root. Lol, but it's a root! I knew we'd see roots before the Apple Strudel I'm also running. It keeps stretching. So it wasn't focusing on the roots. This little lady, on the other hand, barely stretched. I was concerned at first, but now it's fine. She'll start to grow significantly soon enough. Probably tomorrow we'll see some impressive growth. Or well the start of it. However, her leaves are kinda crinkly. I need to figure this out. Is the light too bright?! No way. No fucking way. The DLI is like 21 mol. And was 16.7 mol. last week. I'm pretty sure this strain likes light. Imma take a peeky peek... Says nothing about lighting. But it does like nutrients and lots of them. I'll have to keep that in mind. Maybe I don't have enough in there. That could be the cause of the deformed leaves. I'm going to find out somehow. I looked it up and I have it narrowed down to lighting or Nutrients. It's really hard to tell when she just started to veg. I honestly should have left it in Germination for last week and started veg this week. Now it's all messed up. Lol. Oh well. So we'll have a 5 week veg stage. But it's still not gonna change the growth cycle. Also, the pH was high. It was at 6.6. So that is now pHed down to 5.8. EC and TDS didn't change at all. Temp was 67° after replacing the ice bottles. 01/19/2026 I think I figured out the issue with the crinkling leaves. The fans at night were blowing at level 6 which is really windy in a 3x3 with 2 fans. Now it's down to level 2 like it should be. Oops. On a better note, she's on her third her node now and looking like she's about to explode with growth. I'm also seeing teeny tiny side branches coming out. So I'm not seeing any issues with growth. So I guess everything is all good. Great color. Nice full leaves. Thin though. Although it is like the first week of veg. We'll see. Oh yah, the water was warm this morning. I definitely need to add ice bottles before I go to bed. No bad smell though, so that's good. Last run I got a brown algae bloom and it wreaked like warm piss. Nasty. So far everything looks good in that regard. I still need to figure out how to get temp in the tent to actually get stable. It can't hold anything. Like if the level goes below 8 on the heater, the temp drops to like 71° like immediately. I don't understand. Last run it was not like this. It hung out at a solid 75° with minimal assistance from the heater. I really don't get it. And the humidity is even worse. The humidity plummets hard. I get that it's winter and the temps are low and the humidity next to nothing, but like damn man. However, I just thought of something. I had my AC running the whole time last run. Just to keep the temp in check and the air quality better. That could have played a major role. Granted it's the exact temp in here that I was keeping it at with the AC. I dunno. Just a thought. Clean air and all. That's all for now. Update: She has 2 long roots now. Looking awesome! 01/20/2026 She's starting to grow now. The roots are getting super long and more are popping out. I have a good feeling about this. She looks great! And seems to be quite happy with the nutrient water. Very green growth. She's definitely healthy and happy. I totally forgot to change the ice bottles out again, so I did as soon as I got out of bed. Saying "shit! I forgot the damned ice bottles!" Lol. I didn't even take measurements as I was like half awake when I did it. Now I'm waiting a few hours while the ice bottles do the thing. Unfortunately, I won't be able to swap them out again until later this evening. I set a reminder on my phone, so I'll remember. As for measurements. I'm not expecting any changes just because there's 2 roots in the water. So I'm looking for the pH and temp. I'll check the EC and TDS, but I don't think those measurements are needed currently. That's more for next week when the growth becomes vigorous, or well should if not already. The lighting is perfect btw, she has a great reach and isn't stretching super fast. Very evenly paced. Slightly praying just like she should be. The environment on the other hand is a solid mess. The humidity is bouncing all over the place because of the fans. But also because I don't have the air filter in the ventilation system yet. I need to change out the charcoal or take it out, shake all the nasty stuff out and put it back in. The carbon isn't bad yet, just clogged. I need some canned air I think. I don't have an air compressor. Lol. But what I think I need to do is dump the charcoal, clean out the mesh from the filter and put the charcoal back in. Gotta wait for my new handy dandy compressed air thingy to come in. 01/21/2026 I finally remembered to switch out the ice bottles last night. The water was somewhat cool. Around 70° f. I forgot to take readings. But I'm pretty good at feeling the temp out. She looks great! Broad leaves though. The description said really thin leaves. We'll see how she turns out. It's really too early to tell what she's gonna do. So I definitely started the veg stage in the diary about a week too early. So now it's like day 3 of the veg stage in real life. We are on week 2 in the diary. SMH. Oh well. I think I addressed this when I started my second week as veg, but I can't remember. So here's a reminder I guess. The heat seems to have caught up. It's now at 75°, but not holding very well. The heater remains on and overheated for like an hour last night. Then it did it again this morning, but I just turned it off for 10 minutes while I swapped out the ice bottles and took a couple pics. Her tiny branches are starting to show more. I can't wait for them to shoot out so I can cut them off in 2 weeks. Lol. I also took a quick measurement. 3.5" tall. We started the week at 2" and have grew an inch and a half in 5 days. Not sure how much I like that. I'd love to see a half inch a day. Up until flowering. That'll give me a 17" plant by flower. If it grows twice that tall, I'll have a nice sized plant. That's based on a 4 week veg stage. If it turns out to be 5 weeks, well, the plant will be much bigger to start. Not much else to talk about today. Kinda just letting her do her thing. I've observed. She's healthy, happy and a beautiful green. 01/22/2026 We have foliage! Wow. Like overnight boom. Right on time. Now there will be some vigorous growth. What happened here? Oh I was busy. My bad everyone. 01/23/2026 The water was a bit warm this morning. I think I need to swap these bottles out every 4 to 5 hours. Not happening. I need a different solution. Maybe the heater hose needs to go somewhere else. pH: 6.1 EC: 1059 TDS: 540 Temp: 68.5 So I bought a hand held air compressor to clean the dust from the air filter. The carbon isn't spent yet, it was just clogged. Now it's unclogged. Lesson learned. Use pre-filter and replace pre-filter when it gets all clogged up. There's still a bit of resistance, but not bad. She looks great. Good color, but it looks like she'll be needing a new dose of nutrients when next week starts. I think tomorrow. Half dose and we'll see what happens. Worst case scenario, it's too hot and I have to swap out a gallon of plain water. No big deal. A gallon would put it down between the 1/4 dose and the 1/2 dose. We'll see though.

Prilyfe13 01/24/2026 So I forgot to fill the reserve bucket up. Now I have to wait for the cold ass water to warm up over 64° it's currently at 58°. I might be waiting til tomorrow to swap out the water. I don't want to shock her with the cold water. Other than that, I forgot to swap out the ice bottles this morning. It only got to 71° so that's not terrible. The Apple Strudel I'm running had like 75° water as it's right next to the heater hose. She looks great! Not quite as tall as I would expect for a vigorous plant. But she'll come through. We are only on week 2 of veg. Not 3. So next week will look much better. I'll be able to train and defoliate. I'm not going overboard either. Just a nice trim job. Not heavy, but mid range. Not light either. Almost forgot. DLI: 25.1 mol 01/25/2026 Well, the heat turned off last night. I think it my downstairs neighbors. It's an apartment house with shared heat. Anyway, the heat was off and so was the temp in the tent. So that was a nightmare. But then that also meant the water I was swapping out today was cold. But I found algae on the bottom of the bucket and needed to clean it out. So I had to add the cold water. I think she's fine, but she might not be showing signs of shock and may in fact be in shock. The water was 57.3°, but the heat in the tent is cranked, so the water should warm up pretty soon. I just hope the temp doesn't plummet again. I don't like being cold. As for the plant itself, she looks really good. Great green coloring, stalky, but the branches and stem are super thick for this stage. I don't think she's going to be very tall. Unless the water warms up and unlocks all of those new nutrients in her cleaned out bucket. I also am starting to think this may not be a blue dream. The leaves are way too wide. Unless of course they thin out when they mature. I dunno, man. I need to look at some other blue dream by FastBuds. That might tell me something. Anyway, I think that's it for me today. Weekly Readings: pH: 5.8 EC: 1105 TDS: 552 Temp: 57.3 01/26/2026 So the temp in the apartment was 75 this morning and the tent was at 72°. The heater was on, but I think I figured out the problem. The heater is actually outside of the tent. So when it's on it causes the tent to bulge and the air is forced out of the lower vents. The heat never reaches the plants. So, I put the heater in the tent. So far the tent is at 77° and 58%. I'm gonna try to get the humidity to hold at 60% if it will hold. Other than that, she looks good. I'm not very excited with how short she is compared to the apple strudel also in the tent. Nice branches. And I'm still pretty sure this isn't a blue dream. Again, I'll have to wait until she gets to like flower to really know I think. But the leaves are so very broad. The Apple Strudel on the other hand has thin leaves and is stretching like mad. The water looks good. I'm not bothering with measurements today. I'm focused on getting the humidity and temp in order, so I don't want to open the tent. I did swap out the ice bottles. Oh, speaking of ice bottles, the heater is bucket level, so it's not blowing heat all over the buckets. It's going over the bucket. So it shouldn't get super warm anymore... Hopefully. One thing I did notice is that the roots, first of all, are all over the place now so that's good. But they are brown. I don't get it. I thought hydrogaurd was supposed to prevent this. Or is it the dark brown concentrated nutrients. Some in the regimen are dork brown. Maybe that's the issue? I don't think it's an issue though. No bud rot or anything like that. Just brown roots. Well, that's it for the day. 01/27/2026 Whoops. Forgot to write in for today. Let's just say it's the beginning of a nightmare. Clawing leaves. Etc. 01/28/2026 The CLAAAAAW! FUCK! Well, there is somehow a nitrogen toxicity. So I removed a gallon of water and replaced it with a gallon of fresh water. I guess time will tell. The funny thing is that both plants in the tent are doing the exact same thing. Like it's environmental. But I don't know what could cause it. Really warm water? Because I have a lot of trouble keeping the water cool. Especially at night, when I'm sleeping and the heater can run wild. No idea why it doesn't turn off, but it's really annoying. This one hasn't overheated so that's nice. I also learned that I only need 1 ice bottle. And just replace them a little more often. Like tonight I'm adding a bottle at bed time. Then first thing in the morning. Then mid afternoon. The AI is very confused. I don't think it knows what it's doing now. The environment is a complete mess. But it's really not. The probe is on a central space. So it should read right, but the way I have it set up, the mist doesn't hit the plants directly. It causes the probe to get really wonky. I think. This didn't happen last run. Anyway, this week is kind of a shit show. 01/29/2026 So I think I figured out the claw. I took some advice and pulled a gallon and replaced it with a gallon of plain pHed water. Seems to have worked for the most part. The thing now is the plant is droopy. Kinda. I think it has to do with the air gap between the basket and the water. With the ice bottles in there, the gap is gone. That being said, I would assume the roots were starting to drown without that air gap being there. If it was the case, then I should see some improvement in the next few hours. We shall see. Unless it's something else. But I don't know. The environment is still messed up. I mean, it's messed up, but levels out where it needs to be. Just doesn't stay there for very long. Quick Update: I dropped the light intensity to 30%. Now the light readings are 29 mol. What's funny is that's the same reading I got with the Apple Strudel that's 2" taller. Exactly what I want. The footprint is big enough to cover both plants fully. And bright enough too. 01/30/2026 The clawing has seemed to have gone away. So that's good. The only thing I'm concerned about now is her height. She is very short for her age. I'd expect at least 6" maybe 8", but she's like 4.5" now. I know it's only the end of the second week of veg, and I'm probably just being impatient, but I wonder what I could be doing more of. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong right now. I'm just struggling with the environment. Oh and the water this morning was perfect. The temp was 67.7° and the pH was 5.8. perfect. Everything is looking good. As for the plant, she looks really nice. Good strong stalk, vibrant green color. Good roots. Also, I think there was a root issue of some kind. Maybe not root rot, but browning. Because as the roots grow, they're coming out white. But the one spot that they were brown is still there. Not sure what to make of it, but I'm not complaining. However, I think whatever the issue was before stunted her a little bit. I expect if the roots are getting bigger and staying white now, I should have a much better time growing the plant. The environment is a mess still. Now it's stuck under 73°. The humidity is fine, but like what the hell man? First it was 75° now 73°. Now I will give it that it's 7° f outside, but it's not inside and the tent seems to be reflecting the outside temp. Oh well. The heat is on and that's as much as I can ask for. Well, that's it for me this week. See you in the next part of our journey.

Prilyfe13 01/31/2026 This week is all about training. There won't be much due to the size, but once she starts to stretch a little bit, I'll get some bud clips in there. She's already showing her sex. AND she has 9 finger fan leaves. Hell yeah! Very healthy plant. Nothing wrong with her at all except her height. Just short. And the only reason short is bad for me is training. It's much harder to train a shorter plant, unless I cut off the big fan leaves. Which of course will be done probably next week when the side branches have some good leaves as well. Then I can work some training. Also the branches will be longer and much easier to manipulate. I was going to change the water out today because we are dropping 3 nutrients for the next 2 weeks. But the reserve bucket is really cold. I'm warming it up by the heater, but it's gonna take the majority of the day to get it up to a reasonable temp. Right now it's at 56° f. Much too cold for a possible 20 minute dip. I have to add the nutrients in the actual bucket instead of the gallon jugs. It's much easier to dump 10 ml of nutrients into 1 bucket vs 2.5 ml each in 4 jugs. It's just 4 times faster doing it in the reservoir. Of course when I can't lift the plant out of the water, I'll have to start pumping. No big deal, but still I don't like the fact that I won't be able to at least wipe the bucket out before refilling it. Ya know? Oh well. Frankly, in my opinion, it's a recipe for disaster. But I'll manage. And then I'll have to load the jugs up first. Or the reserve bucket and pump the mix in from there. The environment looks a little wonky today. But seems to be sitting in a good spot when it finally levels out for a bit. Not that it hasn't been wonky the whole run, but it seems to be leveling out now that the plants are starting to contribute to the environmental conditions. Temp still isn't getting high enough for long enough. It hits 77° for a bit then drops down to 72° for a bit then back up. Mostly because the humidity is either high or super low and it's messing with the temp. They can't mesh well. It's because of the lung room. Too cold by the tent and much too dry. I will note though that the heater hasn't overheated since I put it in the tent. Shame my tent isn't big enough to hold it. Especially when the scrog net goes up. Maybe I'll be able to use the heater outside the tent again with the hose. I'd much like to have my space back. Lol. I mean, it fits, but it takes up a lot of space in the back. The cool part is it's level with the buckets, so the hot air doesn't seem to be hitting them that much. Definitely keeping the buckets cooler. I didn't need to add an ice bottle today. Yet anyway. I don't think I'll need to. Maybe tonight as I won't be changing nutrients out today. Not with the reserve bucket so cold. And by the time it warms up, it'll be too late to change the nutrients. I prefer to change them in the morning and do the trimming at night. Just seems like a good routine to have. The trimming before bed will help the plant recover from the stress and to heal. During the day with a new bucket of fresh nutrients, the plant can focus on those and growth and energy uptake instead of spending the day healing. At least that's the theory I'm working with. If I'm wrong please someone tell me. 02/01/2026 Today is water swap day. The reserve bucket is in temp range and pHed ready to go. I checked the water temp earlier and it was perfectly fine from last night at 67.9°. Glad I figured out the water heating problem. Now it should be much easier to manage the water quality. Also, the pH is still perfectly in range sitting stable at 6.1. I'd like it down to 5.8, but that's not how this nutrient blend works. It sits at 6.1. of course, I'll pH to 5.8 when I mix the new batch, but it's going to hit 6.1 and stay there. Maybe I'll bring it back down to 5.8 every couple of days. That might be a pretty good idea. That way we get the swing a bit and more nutrients can be unlocked easier. Or I'll just leave it alone as one should. It's pH perfect, so I should let it do the pH perfect thing and not mess with it. I dunno. Plant... She is beautiful. Huge green leaves. 9 finger leaves still coming out. Amazing color. Still short though. Not the most exciting news. I'd like her to be close to a foot tall by now. But as I said yesterday, she is already showing her sex, so the pre flower stretch should begin shortly. Like in the next few days maybe? Maybe a week? Either way, flowering is fast approaching. That's for sure. I should be all prepped for it. I have my trellis net in the tent ready to be hooked up in case I need it. Indeed, I may need it. This is an extremely healthy plant. I can see the potential super growth coming on. The leaves are HUGE. and if the leaf size signifies the potential size of the plant, then the plant will be huge. At least if that be the case. Which it might be. Probably not? Readings: pH: 6.45 EC: 1004 TDS: 502 Temp: 64.5° 02/02/2026 pH was way off this morning. I don't know what happened. But if I remember correctly, I read that the pH Perfect part of the name only works best when it's on the 700 to 1000 range. Mine is 500. Lol. Not sure how to fix that considering the fact it would be way too much for this little lady. Maybe when she hits flower. Then I think we should be good with 700 or so. She's gotta get up to size. That's all. Funny how she isn't having issues, but the bigger Apple Strudel has some pretty knarly nitrogen toxicity. Anyway, she seems Perfectly fine. Great color. Super strong branches. But also flexible. Too short use the bud clips though, shame that. This is the training week and she's not cooperating. Lol. Branches are barely long enough to get a clip in. But only 2 can get it. So I'm going to have to wait and see. Maybe with her height, I'll get a naturally even canopy and won't have to do much training. It's kind of a bummer that I can't tie her down like I normally would. No anchors. Otherwise she would probably be a bit bigger. Maybe. I find that they tend to grow a bit faster when tying down the top. Gets the blood pumping. Lol. For the most part, that is. The branches get more energy and flgrow faster in turn making the plant bigger. Maybe not tall, but wide. I almost want to top her, but I think it's too late now. It's week 3 of veg and there's already white pistils. Hopefully I'll get another week of full veg before the preflower stretch starts. I really need to train this lady out. I don't want to snip the leaves. We'll see how it goes. Maybe I won't have to snip all of them. Just a few would be fine. Oh and the water temp was fine. 68.7° but I added an ice bottle anyway. I'd like that temp to stay around 67°. In a bad note, I think I screwed up and contaminated this bucket. The Apple Strudel has an algae bloom and I accidentally used the same stirring stick for both buckets when I was pHing them. We shall see if it causes an issue. Also isn't hydrogaurd supposed to prevent this from happening? I'll have to look into that. Anyway, the environment is still messy, but I think it's artificial. The humidity seems to bounce with the heat as it has been. Both units turn off though, so that's good. I just need them to turn off at the right readings. Lol. That's all for the day. We'll see what tomorrow brings. 02/03/2026 She looks great! STRONG branches. No training available. I did however hand press the top down. I really wish I could tie her down. Hand training takes a lot of work. Not that I mind, but like damn. I gotta be in the tent like 12 times a day and I don't want to do that. The heater started overheating AGAIN. It seems to be fine now, but I wonder how it did it. It's not hot in the tent. The water didn't even get hot. However I do think I need to add an ice bottle just in case. Her pH was high. 6.7. while the EC and TDS stayed the same. EC 1000 and TDS 506. That's all for now.
