PapaTerps Wizard Fuel - Wizard Trees
I've been looking forward to this one for a while, so here we go! To kick off 2026, I've selected six "premium brand" strains to grow over the next few months. This is the first of six, and I've selected this beauty for her fruity and earthy flavours and her energizing and creative affects.
Day 1 - Seed dropped into a plain glass of RO tap water, pH'd to 6.3. I'm using the floating method here, so the seed will stay in the glass until a taproot appears, or if the seed drops to the bottom of the glass, in which case, she will be moved into a paper towel; to ensure she gets enough oxygen. The glass will be kept in a cool, dark area for a few days until an acceptable tap root appears, then she will be moved into the growing medium and placed in a humidity dome and left to grow until she is ready for veg.
Day 3 - an acceptable taproot has appeared from the seed, so she has been transferred to a starter pot until she is big enough to enter the grow environment.
Day 5 - she has just sprouted and her shell is still attached. I will leave her for another day to grow and if her shell is still attached, I will manually remove it. So far so good ππ»
Day 6 - The seedling has sprouted - I manually removed her shell and part of the membrane, as it was preventing the seedling from getting light.
Day 9 - she is big enough to transplant her from her starter pot to her main grow pot. So today, I broke her out of her starter pot and planted her into a 20L fabric grow pot - she will remain in this pot for the rest of her lifecycle ππ»

Day 13 - She has started to develop her central node and is working on her third set of leaves. Because of this, I consider her in veg!!. I've watered her with 250ml of RO tap water with nutrients, pH'd to 6.3. I'll let her grow for the next week or so, at this stage, there isn't much work to be done aside from watering her ππ»

Day 27 - I've watered her with 1L of RO tap water with nutrients (in descending order), pH'd to 6.3. She is big enough to start some LST on her, so I removed her top most fan leaves and used four tent pins to train her four lowest stems down and away from her main stem - this is to encourage the lower stems to grow out towards the edges of the pot, so when she starts to stretch, it should naturally allow more light penetration at the lower bud sites. I've used this method multiple times with great success, see my Runtz Auto diary for an example ππ»

Day 34 - I've watered her with 1.5L of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed in order and pH'd to 6.3. This is her last week of veg, which has gone really well and now it's time to prepare her for bloom! I wanted a nice even canopy to work with, so I've decided to top her main stem, to force her to grow more uniform. I've also removed all of her inward facing fan leaves and her lowest most nodes, as they just won't progress when she starts to stretch - kinda like the main-lining technique, but I don't remove the main stem ππ»

Day 41 - I've watered her with 2L of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed in order and pH'd to 6.3. This week she has been moved into the flowering tent and is now on a 12 hour light schedule ππ». She will remain in this state for the remainder of her lifecycle ππ» Because she is now in flower, I've added the bloom nutrients into her feed and I've also increased the watering to 2 liters per feed. As she is now in the stretching phase of flower, I will not be performing any training or defoliation on her for a couple of weeks, and not been touched since topping her just over a week ago.
By the looks of it, she was eager to start her flowering phase, because she nearly doubled her size in the last 48 hours since starting the 12 hour schedule, hopefully she doesn't get too big π€π»

Day 48 - Watered with 2L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually and in order, then finally pH'd to 6.3, watered over three phases to allow the water to penetrate the soil slowly.
She is still in her stretching phase, so I haven't done anything with her just yet. The topping I performed on her a week or so before I put her into flower, has allowed her to grow a nice even canopy with six distinct stems. When she finishes her stretch, I will lollipop her and defoliate to improve both light penetration and airflow ππ»

Day 55 - Watered with 2L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually and in order, then finally pH'd to 6.3. She has stretched really well, and has great internodal spacing with not too much foliage at her canopy! I've lollipopped her to remove all her lower most nodes and leaves, allowing her to focus on developing her canopy ππ»

Day 63 - Watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! She has made some great progress this week, stretching to almost 1m tall, she has also developed her buds sites really well - she isn't too bushy considering she was topped, and she has really impressive internodal spacing, which is going to make this grow so easy, as she won't require too much maintenance! She has been really really thirst this week, requiring 3L of watering every two to three days, but this is to be expected given she has six or seven main stems πͺ She was lollipopped last week and that has allowed her to focus on her canopy, so yeah, just letting her grow for nowπ

Day 70 - Watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients, mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! She has completed her stretch phase, has developed her bud sites and is now focusing on bulking her flower ππ»I removed a couple of fans leaves to improve general airflow in the tent πͺπ» She has developed a good amount of trichomes on her buds and her smell has also started to appear - very gas earthy ππ»

Day 84 - Watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! Week 7 of bloom and shes lookin' and smellin' so good, I'm super excited to try this one! Her buds are big heavy, rock solid, colourful, vibrant and covered in trichomes! She has a great structure and all her main budsites are getting the light they need to bulk up πͺ I have started to remove the larger fan leaves to allow more light onto her surface, as I want her to get the most out of this week, because from next week I will need to start preparing her for harvest π

Day 91 - Watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! A small amount of defoliation to improve light penetration, and that's about it - she's still bulking, but it has slowed down significantly, so from the end of this week, she will start her flushing phase ππ» Her flower is absolutely beautiful, big heavy and hard baseball sized flower with a beautiful lime green hue, she smells candy and fruit ππ»

Day 98
πΏ She has been watered twice this week, with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3. Shes a week away from harvest, so Ive reduced her nutrients over the last two-three feedings, so she is just getting the Acti-Vera and BioHeaven at the moment πͺπ»
βοΈ She has been given another round of defoliation this week, mainly focusing on removing fan leaves and larger sugar leaves from around her flower, so that any shaded areas are now exposed to light - this is to ensure her flower matures as much as possible before harvest ππ»
πΈ Her flower is looking just how it was advertised, which I'm super happy about! Vibrant light green with the contrasting ambers of the pistils, sat upon fat juicy goofballs, with the trichomes from stem to sugar leaf tips, shimmering in the light - she is so beautiful! Her aroma is also quite striking, very candy meets gas! π Around 90% of her trichomes have turned milky with around 5% amber and clear each, basically all of her pistils have turned amber, so I will complete this week of flush and then she will be harvested ππ»
Notes: I had taken a small sample from the lowest budsite on the plant, dried it for a few days and then tested it in the Arizer Solo IIIv2 - she is definitely leaning more into the Rope Fuel side with the citrus and diesel flavours up front with a lingering sweetness; its very nice! The effects hit pretty much straight away in the eyes getting tight and the smile smaked on my face - I can already tell that this one will be grown again! Very nice so far! π
She has big beautiful golfball size buds, that are a light vibrant green with the contrasting ambers pistils and shimmering snow white trichomes, she is so beautiful! Her aroma is also quite striking too, with strong notes of candy meets gas! She was easy enough to grow and required little to no defolation - I would hight recommend this strain to anyone looking to grow a branded strain!

Day 104
πΈ All of her trichomes have at least turned cloudy, with around 10% amber and all of her pistils have turned amber, so she is ready to be harvested ππ»
πΏ She has been watered twice this week, with 3L of plain RO tap water pH'd to 6.3! She's was left to dry back about three days ago and is now ready for harvest πͺ
βοΈ As she is being harvested today, I've given her a complete wet trim, removing all stems fan leaves and I've trimmed all sugar leaves π
