PavementPunk First time trying living soil. Slightly under in the nutrients but it should be good. I saved a bit of minerals and nutes for top dressing later. Added biochar and worm castings compost/ manure live worms from the backyard pumice. I feel pretty good about it. Also used a heating mat for the first time. It worked so well my seedlings got a little stretchy. Dialing in the light height and intensity has been tricky too. Had it at like 36 inches at 55% hitting 300 ppfd. Lowered it to 16 inches at 44% hopefully my instincts kick back in i feel a little lost. The internet gives such conflicting info. Happy growing ✌️
@Natrona, thanks 😊 🙏. I feel good about the soil besides the flies that like the compost. Kis sent me some sticky grid traps with the nute and mineral packs, they are working. Im a little bummed about the stretchy start i got on 2 seedlings but i suppose it's good practice to not stress about silly stuff. Just let it go lol
@PavementPunk, A simple fix for stretchy seedlings is to bury them deep when you put em in the dirt. All those tiny hairs on the stem will turn into roots
