PavementPunk First time trying living soil. Slightly under in the nutrients but it should be good. I saved a bit of minerals and nutes for top dressing later. Added biochar and worm castings compost/ manure live worms from the backyard pumice. I feel pretty good about it. Also used a heating mat for the first time. It worked so well my seedlings got a little stretchy. Dialing in the light height and intensity has been tricky too. Had it at like 36 inches at 55% hitting 300 ppfd. Lowered it to 16 inches at 44% hopefully my instincts kick back in i feel a little lost. The internet gives such conflicting info. Happy growing ✌️

PavementPunk Pretty sure the fly issue is negatively affecting 2 of my 3 seedlings. Wondering if living soil was a mistake. I put down some pumice around the base of these babies in a small circle as like mulch to hopefully protect their roots. Watered them only where my rocks are. I planted cover crops for the living soil watered everything in and covered it with some dry peat pumice mix i had. I hit that with a decent layer of diatomaceous earth too and another sticky trap or 2. Hoping this helps get it under control. I got a flying insect plug in trap on the way too. The BPP RF3 is looking pretty good and doing well at least there is that lol happy growing yall ✌️

Lol fml man. Few more days. I wanna start my photo seedlings soon. Im hopeful this living soil will be good once i get the flies dealt with. Still figuring out this light too. Got it about 16 inches from canopy @ 65% easing it up to 80% over a week or 2. Wish me luck friends happy growing ✌️

PavementPunk This girl has really bounced back and is getting bigger and healthier by the day. They all look better since the first full strength dose of wdg3000. I gave them 2 with a 1/4 strength myco+ dose in between. Gave some other living soil i have in a pot a decent but of it too to hopefully start getting rid of any fly larvae in there. Light just up to 80% @ 16 inches. I want this grow to bounce back even though its already half over. Maybe. I might need to do 1 more auto run instead of my photos next. Idk Happy growing friends ✌️

PavementPunk She looks slightly droopy in these pics but its from leaf tucking. This lil monster has recovered and then hit the growth button. About doubled in size in 1 week. I keep having to raise the light about an inch a day. I dont mind but i think my other 2 girls are getting a bit less light falling behind a bit. I raised the grape ape about 2 inches. Seems like i might need to make more adjustments. Light at 80% approx 16-18 inches from tallest nodes. The last watering i gave them instant compost tea which is basically just water soluble myco and i top dressed 1 tbsp of langenbeinite for each plant. About 2/3 of a gallon per plant or 2 gallons split 3 ways. Watering every 72 hours instead of my typical 48 as im hoping less frequent waterings will also help w the flies. That wdg3000 works great the health of my garden has improved drastically since I first used it. Shoutout to Awilburn for suggesting it, you're a grow saver! Zevo traps are grossly overpriced, get the off brand one lol.
@PavementPunk, A simple fix for stretchy seedlings is to bury them deep when you put em in the dirt. All those tiny hairs on the stem will turn into roots
