MalumProhibitum No fcking around with toiletpaper this time, and 3x as many seeds as the first run; see how things turn out.
As things aren't moving at lightspeed pace, I have decided this grow will get a lot less updates than I did the first grow.
As only 2/5 seeds germinated last run, I'll take some photos once 4-6 seeds has germinated, then do updates in 4 weeks intervals --as not that much happens from one week to the next.
1 week has passed, zero germination directly into soil: 0/16, so far..
I might start another paper towel run with 20x seeds, see how that turns out and merge all journals into the first ma huang one to keep things less fragmented.
Finally some signs of life! entering into week 2..
Week 1:
-
Week 2:
Day #8: 1 germinated -- ~6%.
Day #11: 1 germinated -- 25%.
Day #13: - 5:th seed germinated 5/16 = ~31%.
Week 3:
Day #18: 1 more -- 37,5%.
---Summary---
Time:18 days. Total: 40 seeds in the pots:
14 germinated 26 still dormant -- 35% germination rate so far.

MalumProhibitum It's funny.. I didn't add any aztec tobacco to this grow, yet they keeps popping up like small protectors. I think my DIY soil mix is full of tobacco seeds and it's inevitable some tobacco germinates :)
The close up clearly shows the abundance of plant-matter in my DIY soil, from o'l grow-projects being recycled over and over for a decade now.
It might be time to re-mineralize the soil, adding some clay and rock-dust and a sprinkle of diatomaceous earth, as the soil looks more like crushed bark at this point xD But.. at the same time the plants seems to like growing in it, possibly due to the excess air being able to travel through the chicken-nugget like soil! 💩 --Me Gusta! :)
Day #13 - 5:th seed germinated 5/16 = ~31% germination-rate. Given Zamnesia added 20 seeds to each pack you will still have roughly ~6 strong seedlings to take care of, so I'm more than happy with the outcome.
I moved them from their little humidity-dome, gave them some low TDS/PPM nutes and got 2 decent photos under the kitchen fan LED. The 2800K+3500K 500W LED-light in the grow room makes it tough to get
photos that isn't over-exposed and giving pure white hues a brown-ish cardboard tone to them; which I hate..
I'll pause this one and return for an update in a month: 26feb.
