Super Buff Cherry in Living Soil

gz420G The cuttings were potted directly into the final pot with a small layer of mycorrhiza. So far, everything is running smoothly and the plant shows no stress after transplanting.

gz420G In the last few days, the two SBCs have grown well in height and look healthy overall. Towards the end of week 3, I noticed the first signs of spider mite infestation on a few leaves. I assume I brought the spider mites into the grow box with the straw I use for mulching :( In the next few days, I will closely monitor the spider mite infestation, cut off the affected leaves, increase the humidity, and spray the plant with water. If the infestation does not improve, I will buy predatory mites for support.

gz420G Since I assumed that the spider mite infestation was resolved, the two were topped to utilize the entire width of the grow tent.

gz420G This week I started with LST and increased the humidity to combat the remaining spider mites, and additionally, I released Phytoseiulus Persimilis in the grow box.

gz420G Finally time to send the ladies into flowering 😁 Since the spider mite infestation is mostly resolved and the plants are already relatively tall, I'm sending the two into flowering this week. Additionally, the SCROG net will be set up to achieve a more even canopy.

gz420G The two are responding well to the first week of the flowering phase and are slowly filling the entire tent. Since I found small nets on individual leaves again, a pack of Phytoseiulus Persimilis predatory mites was released.

gz420G On BT 21, there was heavy defoliation + organic fertilization. The two have stretched a lot, which led me to hang the lamp as high as possible, and still have only 25cm distance to the highest shoots. To avoid any risk, I dimmed the Spiderfarmer SF2000 Pro to 80%.

gz420G The first leaves are starting to fade and the buds are slowly taking shape.

gz420G Here are the last pictures of my Super Buff Cherry before the 48-hour dark phase and the harvest. The trichomes were about 95% milky and 5% amber.

gz420G The yield and the buds would definitely have been bigger without pest infestation, but I am quite satisfied with the quality.
