Hi there, we are Ana and Gui (from Barcelona), two young padawans when it comes to growing Maria. Gui has experience with organic farming for fruits and vegs so hope it will make the work :) We started this adventure since we don't support high THC weed anymore and discover the CBD recently, so here we go :) We grew this OG Kush Auto CBD in parallel of a Dinamed Auto CBD, that will be described in another diary.
We've discovered this amazing website on May 17th (during week 10 of growing), but as we were keeping a personal log, we decided to upload all pictures and comments at once until week 10.
Week 0: 08/03 > 15/03 (March)
GERMINATION
I germinate the seed directly in the small pot.
LIMITED LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Sunrise: 7:15 AM
Sunset: 6:49 PM
The place where I got most light at this period of the year is in my living room. But the window gives to the Westside, so from the approx 11 hours of natural light, I only receive 7 hours of direct light.
This is an experiment so let's see :)
STABLE TEMPERATURE
The temperature in this part of the flat is quite constant. When the sun hit the window on midday, the T°C could rise at 25°C and during the night with the window closed and the inertia of the entire flat the T°C don't drop below 15 °C.
Week 16/03 > 23/03
LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Sunset:06:53 AM
Sunrise: 7:04 PM
TOTAL: 12:10 h/day but only 7 hours of direct light / day
TRANSPLANT
On day 7, I've transplanted her in 11 L pot with Biobizz Light Mix and spray 0.35L of Phosphoderma mixed with 0.35 L of water on the roots to help the transplantion
Week 3 - 24/03 > 01/04
LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Sunrise: 07:36 1M
Sunset: 8:14 PM
Total: 12:38 / day but only 7 h direct light/day
GROWING
Everything looks normal :) I'm aware the growing is not very fast taking into consideration the "only" 7 hours of natural direct light/per day and that we are still in March but as we say here "poc a poc i bona lletra"
Week: 10/04 - 17/04
LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Sunrise: 7:09 AM
Sunset: 8:33 PM
Total: 13:33h/day but only 7 h/day of direct light
OBSERVATION
Whaou! Last week, the plant grows so much!
Some tiny white marks appear on some leaves, and talking to the guys from the grow shop, they told me it could be a bug. Let's see how it evolves in the coming weeks and I will think about a biological pest management strategy.
Some white hair starts to appear :) Blooming is happening 😀?
Week: 18/04 > 25/04
LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Sunrise: 6:57 AM
Sunset: 8:45 PM
Total: 13:47 h/day with only 7h/day of direct light
OBSERVATIONS
The white marks on the leaves stop to spread so everything is OK :)
&
Blooming is evident :)
Week: 26/04 > 02/05
LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Sunrise:6:47 AM
Sunset: 8:49
Total: 14h/day with only 7h/day of direct light
OBSERVATION
On the oldest leaves, some brown marks appeared. And talking to grow shop folks, we supposed it is a calcium deficiency? But they told me to not worry about it since we are now in the flowering period and this won't impact the buds, so no action required, just observation and peace :)
Week: 03/04 > 10/05
LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Sunrise: 6:38 AM
Sunset: 20:57
Total: 14:19 h/day with only 7h/day of direct light
OBSERVATION
The brown marks remained only on the same leaves and didn't spread out to others leaves. A bit strange, but happy it didn't spread out :) But on the affected leaves, the brow marks turn kinda yellowish and the leaves started to dry.
For the rest everything is alright! :)
Week: 11/04 > 18/05
LIGHTING CONDITIONS
Sunrise: 6:30 AM
Sunset: 21:05
Total: 14:37 h/day with only 7h/day of direct light
OBSERVATION
Very few hairs have curled in and started to darken. I will buy a 60x loupe this week to look at the trichomes.
The folks from the grow shop told me that next week I can do the flush. *Any comments about this? Should I wait a bit longer ?*
Day 75: Using a x60 loop bought on Amazon, I was able to identify some milky TRICHOMAS. Time for a root wash !!! Looking around I decided to go for the traditional way, using a lot of tap water.
But during three days down the road, we get very bad weather with a lot of rain with high humidity level.
Day 78: The leaves start to get yellowish due to lack of nutrients caused by the roots wash. Till now everything seems fine. But looking a bit closer I've noticed some white marks and ... Damn it's due to the apparition of POWDERY MILDEW (see the pictures). I suppose the root wash weakened the plant and the three days of bad weather with high humidity didn't help :( Looking around I've found a great article showing how to control Powdery Mildew before harvesting (https://www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/powdery-mildew/).
Day 79: Went to the grow shop to buy an organic fungicide to prevent further development of the Mildew and spray the entire plant. Hope this will help. *Any pieces of advice on this problem are welcomed :)*
How are things going my friend since your last update?
We hope all is well and thank you for choosing our OG Kush Auto CBD for this adventure on the grow diary platform 👍
All the best ✌️
Mark..
@Sr_Sra_weed, Once the plant is down and drying. Remove as much foliage as possible and keep humidity around 50-60% maximum with plenty of airflow 👌
Keep a close eye on things as powdery mildew can decimate a crop. If your watching closely you'll be fine my friend 👍
Looks like harvest time to me ✂️✂️
All the best ✌️
Mark..
@DinafemSeeds, Hi there. Till day 78, everything good. But as described in week 10 comments, three days after washing the roots and 3 days of shitty weather plus rain and high humidity level, I've noticed the apparition of Powdery Mildew on some leaves. The local grow shop gave me an organic fungicide to spray on the plant to control the mildew and every day I'm looking closely at the plant and removing the leaves affected. Today (03/06) I'm on day 87 and was going to harvest hoping the Powdery Mildew won't develop more during the drying process and ruining the bud. Any pieces of advice on the drying process taking into consideration the mildew problem? Thanks a million
What a beautiful looking plant👍
Congratulations on the harvest my friend👊
Time to sit back and enjoy that dank and frosty end product produced from our OG Kush Auto 👌
Have you sampled our Auto OG Kush yet mate? We would love your thought when the time comes 👊
All the best ✌️
