7daysaweek Walkabout is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain that is a cross between Thai, Skunk, Mexican, and Haze genetics 1. It has a tropical and skunky aroma with a citrus and tropical flavor. Walkabout is known for its uplifting, relaxed, motivated, and calming effects. Some consumers use this strain for its medicinal properties. Walkabout is mostly recommended for outdoor and greenhouse growers because it grows bestial in size, which is overwhelming for small indoor spaces. Growers receive around 450g of dry Walkabout buds per square meter. In terms of the flowering cycle, growers harvest this strain from September to November. Greetings all, Ive had this strain for about 12 yrs and had always grown outdoors, using traditional selective breeding. I bred the heavily sativa line into 3 groups with roughly 3 different finish times. This is an early flowerer i have chosen to try my first self-pollination. I plan to grow these clones out a bit before taking more, then i will flower them for pollen/seed creation. I stress tested (light and ppm) this cultivar for hermy traits and found none, should be good selection, i hope.👍 Mum smells like perfume candy with a bit of stinky cheese and taste like thick, sweet hash. The word fina derives from the Latin word finis, meaning end, boundary, or limit. This etymological connection helps explain why fina often relates to concepts of precision, refinement, and high quality – characteristics that represent the culmination or perfection of a particular trait or process. The evolution from Latin finis to Spanish fina demonstrates how the concept of reaching an endpoint transformed into describing something that has achieved a state of refined perfection or superior quality.

7daysaweek Young Ladies are doing well, roots out the bottom already. I plan on using sts spray on 3 of the 4 to give me more chance of success, the 4th will be kept all female as the pollen receiver. I need to flip the donors a week or 10 days before the receiver to ensure pollen is ready at the time of maximum white stigmas. Spraying will start on flip day and i will try 3 different application rates to see what works best. I'm excited! 😀 Pinned and trimmed leaves and shoots, here's a little look at some roots. Mankey box is no more, tucked it better around the door. Veg up top, clones below, old fridge shelving is the go! 😁 Not much happening, adjust the odd leaf, rotate the odd pot, try to make the most out of the light but at the same time have them on hold waiting for some sativas to finish in the floral abode... LEDs are new to me only had HPS experience before but im impressed with the power of LEDs, these plants are doing pretty good under a grand total of 45watts... Water once every 12 hrs about 250ml each, Alternate between cal/mag and silica with the base nutes. PH drift is terrible, i get a 1.5 shift higher in 10-12 hrs after mix up, PH 6.0 PPM 700ish Temp 23c -29c Humidity 90% yes 90%. Its monsoon season and constant rain over the last couple of weeks, aircon cannot keep up. 😕 The word fina derives from the Latin word finis, meaning end, boundary, or limit. 7daysaweek Had to move from the clone box to a makeshift corner, not the best its a bit hotter than i like but it was getting crowded in the box. Sativas taking their time, thinking of getting a tent to finish them in, can't put them outside yet and i need the room. Decided to hold off on the reversals till next clone batch, it will put me better into the outdoor growing season and more area to play. Over all plants are loving a bit more light and space. Will likely transplant next week into the trial pot system i dreamed up. Originally i thought up this idea for outdoor, to be able to use fabric bags but without too much evaporation and drying from wind. The milk crates give good stability and are good for tying down or supporting stakes. The cut off 20L drum outer slows evaporation around lower bag, it also holds about 20mm of juice in the bottom that gets wicked up through clay balls. Topped off with these drip shields i think this run to waste system should be good. We shall see.😉 Increased the strength and amount of juice. They're growing faster now they have stronger light. Tucked a few leaves and nipped a few tips, nothing too dramatic. Looks like 7 colas per plant... Have been testing new Bluelab ph monitor and controller, it's a fucking gem! Also run the reservoir mixing and aeration paraphernalia and irrigation flow test/run times etc. Everything seems to be doing what it should. Happy days. 😃 End of the week, good growth though two are a bit smaller. Will start the week tomorrow transplanting and moving them to their new home... 7daysaweek Transplanting done into 60% coco and 40% perlite, cheap ass brick coco i buffered and rinsed, repeat, repeat, repeat about 6 wks ago, I mixed dolomite, granular humate and spreadable microbes- lovingly. Into 7-gal fabric potato bags, that are taller than others, giving a smaller diam surface area to wet down and more equal distribution of ze juice. All topped off with the drip shields, wonderful things (so far). A slight modification had to be done... more holes. More holes? Yes more holes, he cried! Ten extra holes were drilled around the outside round the outside. Added to the five x three in the middle, that makes 25 glorious holes! No doubt there will be some channeling of ze juice thru the media but it can be minimized by simply rotating the shield a half inch. Also i set them a bit high so i can give good hand waterings with the gap around the outside, round the outside. 😛 Spent most of the day moving newly potted to the flower space and setting everything up after ejecting the pesky Sativas. I went ahead and set up the scrog frame already it's doubles as a reflector support and such. Tested irrigation, it worked rather splendidly looking at 250ml every 3 hrs, @ a liter every 25 seconds that's about a 6 or 7 second run time. That's a liter of juice every 12 hrs, I will start there. Set up the ph doser, aerator and reservoir mixing pump and screwed a new fan to the wall. Will let them settle in and put a few roots down, before flip. Spent the rest of the week dialing everything in and correcting a minor mg deficiency, The word fina derives from the Latin word finis, meaning end, boundary, or limit. 7daysaweek It's been about a week since transplant and the girls are settled in and growing well, very hungry. I cut the photoperiod by 2hrs today Feb 20, 2 hrs tomorrow etc till i get to 12/12. I cant be bothered with scrog, i dont care too much about yield, would rather quality colas. And my jars getting low.😜 Fertigation rates approx 2.5lt a day each with combined runoff of approx 2lt. 6 fertigation events a day while 18/6 4 while 12/12 but longer run times. Done another tie down, light defol and a bit of direction nudging. I like to leave the leaves as much as possible, they are a good early indicator of deficiencies and power the manifolds. I tuck and weigh them down instead, any microclimates, moisture trapping is not an issue at this stage of growth. I will now let laterals grow, until now i was "dis-budding" them off the mains. I can't see the point growing shoots just to lollypop them later. Put that energy instead into a strong vigorous leader... He said... 7daysaweek First week on 12/12 photoperiod and not much stretch yet, lights are at 60cm height and PPFD is about at its lower limit, so it is what it is. Very sturdy stems and bud sites developing, The highest light intensity areas are now full. I'm constantly leaf tucking and minor defoliating. I cranked the juice up to accommodate the stretch. I have been using fresh rainwater mixed with the regular bore water as a little treat for them. Lol, not really just testing tank PH responses to different inputs, Not much to report, all seems well.😀 The word fina derives from the Latin word finis, meaning end, boundary, or limit. 7daysaweek A good week, 14th day of 12/12 and getting some nice stretch, they might reach the trellis height without me adjusting it, They have been hungry for magnesium, One batch of coir i buffered i used gypsum thinking it was dolomite, so got the cal but not the mag, must have been this batch. Just goes to show the benefits of buffering with dolomite, you use much less cal/mag later. Pubic hairs starting to show, done a bit heavier defoliating, no more tying down, time to let them run. Silica reacting with the calcium is forming a hard lime layer in the drippers which can affect flow if not checked and cleaned. Tank gets cleaned out every 4 days or so depending on water quality. Rainwater keeps the tank fresh for longer but lacks the minerals so i mix 50-50 with the filtered bore water. Aquifers are stirred up due to massive local rainfall, when that settles down it will make the tank easier to manage. Took a few clones i will have a go at reversing later outdoors when weather improves. I really like this sleepy hash tasting pheno and want to keep it. Not much else happening (good) but iam looking forward to seeing some sweet, hairy clusters forming in the coming weeks. Cheers for stopping by! 😁 The word fina derives from the Latin word finis, meaning end, boundary, or limit. 7daysaweek Another week passes, and we finally get to do what we come here to do... Grow bud! Till now its been only roots, stems and leaves. Lets go! The most stretch has happened this week and im raising the lamps a couple inches every 2nd day. I released all tie downs and they reached the trellis height nicely without adjusting it. Changed over now to flower nutes, phased out the extra N and dialed the overall ppm back a bit, twas getting high, (should have cut N sooner?) ppm in 900 ppm out 1100. I have been chasing that deep green all through veg but it only seems to come after flip and nute change. Do i need a little more K in veg, I wonder, does the plant end it's high N requirement so abruptly? Or is it just the result of higher overall salt build up in the media? Did some lolly popping, minor defoliating and leaf tucking. Humidity is super high, i have a small puddle of condensate on the floor beneath the aircon duct, nothing can keep up, pissing rain every day for weeks. Hopefully the monsoon winds down soon or i will likely have a room full of rot. We battle on. 😏 The word fina derives from the Latin word finis, meaning end, boundary, or limit. 7daysaweek Fourth week of 12/12 photoperiod, I'm a day early uploading diary, i have visitors coming to stay for a couple weeks so Im tidying up a few loose ends before their arrival. I've changed diary title to the name I have given this phenotype. Fina was the name of a cyclone that knocked the power out for a couple days just as the og mum was germinating, so the first two days she was raised by a petrol generator. That is the story of her name. Ok, I suppose i could name her after the gen set but that's not very romantic. They have been growing well, stretch is nearly over, plucked a couple of leaves, cleaned up some larf and lifted a few lower laterals into more light. Most if not all of the canopy work is done, except moisture pocket monitoring. Turned up lights 5% Adjusted the reflectors. Slowly weaning off PK booster and onto the pot sulphate on top of the base nutes to make up any ec shortfall. so the exact amount varies. This form of bloom booster is cheap and reliable, available at garden centers drastically reducing the NEED for the bottled gimmicks. Four plants receive 10lt a day over four run times with 30% run off, Run off may be a little high but they should grow into it soon. Not much else to report really. Till we meet again... Thanks for stopping by! 😁 The word fina derives from the Latin word finis, meaning end, boundary, or limit. 7daysaweek Greetings all, it's almost 4 weeks since my last upload, 52 days since the flip. Relatives have gone home and I have been busy catching up on work, monsoon is over and we are getting some good dry air at last. Had a K deficiency earlier on, should have added more, earlier, oh well it's been a hectic month and things could be worse. Also, along with the low K the VPD would have been low starving the taller colas of the K needed, you can clearly see it affected the lower buds less. I reduced the photoperiod by 30 minutes to11.5 hrs on 12.5 off, get some more of those floral hormones, hormone ing. Dialing the base nutes back and adding kelp, vit B humate and microbes with a healthy dose of K. Anyway a quick update for now i can add to later. Thanks for stopping by, bye.😎 Walkabout is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain that is a cross between Thai, Skunk, Mexican, and Haze genetics 1.

7daysaweek Another week done, buds starting to fill out, (except those too close to the light), I would like to go another 2 weeks at least, may be longer. I don't know exactly how long this one takes. The Mother had to be taken early because of mold. I shortened the photo period another 15 minutes and turned the air con up, or is it down? Increased fans and fan speed Also increased air flow by cleaning up spent leaves, and rolled up the reflectors, further reducing mold risk. Anyway, blah blah blah. 7daysaweek Another week done, not much happening here, I cut the nutes this week and now running on water, Chopped a couple of buds, they looked like mold spots where the k deficiency and light damage are but it was just bleached brown and not yet dead so no mold but i need to keep my eye on those spots. Trichomes are milky but no ambers yet, dry air is helping big time in keeping humidity down, if this weather holds they should ripen well, though i read that terps start breaking down at a and above 18c, lol, my room has never gone under 25c. They are still showing vigor even at their age there's new roots still growing through the bag. Happy days! 😁 Walkabout is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain that is a cross between Thai, Skunk, Mexican, and Haze genetics 1. It has a tropical and skunky aroma with a citrus and tropical flavor. 7daysaweek Week 16 was long enough, all milky but little to no amber trichomes but there sure are plenty of them. Got some trippy light effects on the bud shots, Cut off their water a few days before i chopped, they are hanging now and i will do a harvest report when we are all dried and cured. 7daysaweek Greetings for the last time for this grow. Well, no Hollywood style instagram buds, Photo upload isn't playing the game. I will try again later. Got 740 grams white ash and 5 grams of hash. Not a loud smell, mild, sweet floral with creamy smooth hashy flavor. Good pheno i will play with for a while. My reversal worked great, the whole plant changed but there was not a grain of pollen, so my first reversal attempt was a successful failure. I still have clones and will try again. Hungry, must go eat, I'll be back😃 This was my first real LED grow, rather a different animal, until now after decades of growing i didn't think it possible to give cannabis too much light. Also, the inter-nodal gap, wow! Yeilds per watt compared to HPS is also a big WOW, very impressed.

Hey mate, your grow looks awesome 👌. I recommend a 12 liter per day dehumidifier. It can help you to keep the humidity low, is there any place for it in the tent?

@Growfather1, Cheers mate, yep plenty of room, a de-humidifier may be an option as a last resort. I think i would need one with a drainage pipe rather than emptying a tray all the time.

@7daysaweek, I ordered the newest comfee dehumidifier to replace the older version that was just to big 50l per day. COMFEE' CDDOE-10DEN7-QA3 this model would work great in your tent and it's on discount at all Amazon warehouses in Europe.
